@Skepticktok IIRC, some bullshit royalty dispute with Dreams Come True. Funny, since The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog used a derivative of this theme in a lot of the toon's music, and that came out AFTER the dispute, around the time Sonic 3 came out.

THis is the quintessential Sonic theme. Alot of people like Sonic 3 and Knuckles, but THIS is what I hear when I think of Sonic. Its a shame none of the original composer' work survived past Sonic 2 besides the drowning theme :( They should have got him back for Sonic 4, cause if Splash Hill Zone is any indication, Sonic 4 doesnt have that great of a soundtrack, IN MY OPINION

@Adam060756 for me it was 1991. best time of my life, i was 3 :P not quite getting the concept of stratergy and tming i'd just hold left and press a. and i was contempt with that, until i puck up speed shoes and i went through the entire level of GHZ 1-3 looking for all the speedshoes and secret boxes in case i missed one :P

Speed shoes + invincibility + jumping platform part of act 2 = owned :P
