i've watched this film over 100 times and yet it still makes me cry :( it's like @seeifthisoneworks said. WE NEED THIS EVENT! all we do is bitch and moan about each others countries and causing war and chaos when we just need to learn to get along for once
@MrBangCoi no -- only one will die... and I sure hope it's me... you know, everyone dies... but to die saving Earth, that's not a death or responsibility. It's an honor.
I hate to say it, but humanity needs this event; a point where we realize it's not about this country, but about this earth. The eye of the needle that all civilizations must pass through. We must fight against each other!at times, hardships give us lessons... but we have to be strong enough to learn. I hope for the day where fighting amongst the nations transcends to a belief in humanity, this point in history- that we need. We've reached a point where nationality holds us back. We must procee
Fuck those you keeps anoying us with their "Armageddon is SOOOooo not realistic and/or that it's not scientificly accurate", just look at the epicness of the movie and shut up
Wow, there are so many things wrong with this scene. The two shuttles flying so close together, where is one exploded it would take the other out. "SRB separation" mean both the SRBs and external tank separate and is THEN followed by the MECO (main engine cutoff) call. Not to mention the fact that they head straight away from Earth orbit and in the next scene they are heading back TOWARDS Earth to the space station. With all that said, this was a pretty cool scene.
Billy Bon Thornton was absolutely a great actor.

One of my all time greatest moments in the history of movies.
It ranks up there with the Death Star run in Star Wars.
