  • This is the very first song I remember liking as a kid. My mom took me to Disneyland on my birthday when I was 5 or something and this song was playing over the loudspeakers. First grade especially is when I remember listening to this song all the time. Born in 1990. 90s child for life!

  • this aint the version I remember!!

  • Pumphouse Remix is best i recall this back in the day at the club with the girls!

  • anyone else heard of the tape 1999 dance mix, with the techno remix of this song lol

  • In Florida they had a local theme park called Miracle Strip that would play this song and others like it all the time during the ride always so much fun...thats one thing about the 80's and 90's pop music it was very happy sounding even if what they were talking about might not have been the happiest material...it left you feeling good about everything

  • @estreliciagirl your Jon?

  • @estreliciagirl your Jon

  • What do you expect from the 90s?

People were still trying to recover from the 80s.....

  • Wow. Could not remember the name of this song forever, just a vague rememberance of over and over. Going thru some old notebooks where I made mention of songs that tripped me, I found this. Like Heaven. Not only the original, but mix and mix and mix. Too much good stuff. You Tube really rules. You can find anything. And thanks to the mixers and fixers too!

  • I've said it before and I'll say it again... THIS VERSION DESTROYS THE HORRIBLE DANCE REMIX. This is such a freakin' GREAT POP SONG. Long live 90s britpop.

  • i have the dance remix on a mix tape

ahhh the memories of sittin next to the radio waiting for a song to come on then hitting the record button and when u go to the bath room and come back then gettin pissed off because the song you were waitin for is half way through

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!

  • sounds a little like Kim Wilde's Kids in America

  • This never made it to the States... I think because "Jellyhead" is a type of oral sex for us "yanks" (huh-huh).

  • @Corporations8MyBaby It made it to the States, at least it made it to Texas. It was semi-big at the time.

  • @Corporations8MyBaby It is? Also, I remember hearing it when I was a kid o.O

  • i remeber listenin to this song in my mums womb, i must of been 28 weeks old...all i can hear is the distorted words of "jelly head"

  • My mate used to run an alternative club called Disko Bloodbath, he always used to play this at the end of the night. Fuckin Ace! xx

  • a 20 year old can know the song, but if they are like me, they would probably know the dance mix version..I remember listening to it on one of those 90s dance hits cd. and I'm 21 haha.

  • @paulallan1000 Lets keep the language clean please.

  • @paulallan1000 Hey i remember donna air saying something about her on mtv select years ago lol living in australia making christmas cards for a living! OMFG i feel ancient!

  • This is real pop music. Not that discusting screaming yelling and sounding like stupid and no artistic or creativity.

  • Check out the Motiv8 mix, it elevates this song to lost classic 90s status. Its on You Tube somewhere.

  • jeeezzz!! i was looking for this song for so long! brings me so much good memories

  • there is a like rock version from this song, but dont found yet

  • Wow that guy in the video is handsome

  • inocent song very cool

  • LOL, I remember singing this song when I was little but I don't think I use to say JellyHead.

  • Ok, so for you 90's kids, as cool as I imagine it was for you,it was cooler being a 90's TEEN AGER. I was in high school in the 90's. My kid years were the 80's (all 90's teens were 80's kids first). I love this song and all 90's songs but also 80's songs. I am proud to have 2 great cultures 80's and 90's America behind me. I loved them all...this was when music was better.

  • hahah nice music~~

    The Clarences

  • Omg I was like 5 or 6 when this song came out. I remember my cousin listening to it and me liking it and singing "jellyhead" over and over again lol. I've been searching for this song for ages but I couldn't remember the lyrics except jellyhead....

needless to say I feel old.

  • You feel old??? How old are you, 20? Sorry but that is still young!

  • @flans44 lmfao - was already driving when this came out - i guess i can claim that old feeling?

  • @flans44 You feel old? I'm 29. People still say that's young. Used to listen to this kinda stuff when I was in my teens. Wish I could go back then, music, and everything, was way less f'd up than it is today.

  • hahahhahahaha its my dance song

  • @blablahem lmao same here i remember my cousin would always sing this song, i thought it was annoying, since we were just kids lol and she was a girl and had cooties

  • @blablahem me too! i was just looking at all the old now cd's and i remembered singing "jellyhead" when i was little but i couldnt remember anything else. i typed it into google...and here i am!

  • It not her.... She joined when the other brunette left

  • oooph, that hurts!

  • well THIS IS ORIGINAL VERSION and the one aired on radio was not original.

  • Sounds like a cartoon theme song.

  • not only that seem like the cheetah girls would do something like this the regional song from them lol

  • HA! Very true!

  • @generatrix999 yeah something like brace face

  • It's not that bad imo. I have heard worse. Original is better though. I had this version on a Girl Power CD back in the 90's.

  • Let's just be thankful that this version was less popular than Motiv-8's remix

  • Hate this version!!!

  • It's not fond of you either :)

  • I remembered this song back when I was a freshman in high school. That brings me back so many memories!!

  • this song reminds me of raging water

  • Motiv8's Pumphouse remix is like a million times better. (In my opinion)

  • true, true

  • I don't know why i felt like looking up this song.

Wow though. I haven't seen this since I was in ..kindergarten.....jesus...

  • This "rock mix" sucks. The techno version is way better. I picked up a CD single of this at a Borders waaay back in '97...

  • BABES

  • its so retro!

  • please do one less dipshit

  • I used to love this song, In fact I still do. Its a pity they didnt do as well. I think if they came out now they would be successsful. They jsut came out at a time when girl bands werent popular!

  • holy macceroni

something i havent heard in a while

  • god i loved this song when i was young!!!

  • wow, never heard this one, I like!

  • omg i remember singing this when i was kid lol

  • So this is the original? This is the first time I've seen or heard of it. I always thought the techno version from 1997 was the original. o_O

  • Oh dear me , That no mans land between Byker grove and sitting around in just your pants for some glamour mag. Oh the choices. Do i get my tits out or do i release some bog standard song

  • this Song Came out in 1996 Donna Air ex MTV Presenter

  • oh i used to love crush.. haha! underrated at the time i think! :P

  • Great song! This one really sticks to your brain.

  • Dance version is much better

  • I like both! :))) But yeah, I agree the dance version is awesome.

  • I was in audience of Saturday morning tv show 'It's Not Just Saturday'when I was 16 when Crush were on it singing live. They took about 7 takes and I remember singing it all week. ah the memories. Cheesy but scaringly catchy

  • I remember taping that! They were the very first act. Performed immediately after the opening credits. I also recall the presenter saying to them afterwards: "You might just have a small hit on your hands with this!"

    He was right.

Does anyone have that to upload? Would love to see it...

    P

  • I had it on VHS tape but it got scrubbed by accident :( . If anyone has it plz upload!!

  • Can someone please upload the Oven Ready remix?

  • hahaha. wow, this brings back memories.

  • Ugh. The 90s.

  • i love this song!! i was 7 when it came out never heard it again it was last week i heard it again and i looked it up! i love this song it truly is a ::hidden:: 90's classic!

  • Pedro is correct on the history of Crush. KISS in Dallas was the first station to break "Jellyhead" to the U S Market. I was the first promoter to bring them over. They spent a week in Dallas doing shows around Texas for me. They were 17 at the time! Lots of fun.

  • No way! That makes sense... I went to Plano West. I grew up listening to Kid Rock... before he was on every major mixed stations in Texas. 106.1 Kiss FM Dallas Ft. Worth!! lol.

  • Awesome Plano East here... ;x '05

  • I am confused cause I was an extra in some video back in like 1995 and Mariah and her ex Tommy M was there and they were producing or directing a video for a band named crush and the song was called malibu about barbie and Gi joe..

I been trying to find itonline for a while now. They use to play the video all the time when it first came out in NY on the NYC jute box station on tv, but I can't find anything where online. Is this the same crush..it looks like the same blond girl?

  • I originally heard the "techno pump up" jock jams version back in 1997 when I was 7 years old...never heard it again until this February. One of those classic 90s hits that you absolutely love forever :D

  • this came out when i was 17

  • Part 2:

Crush toured South East Asia and the UK, before the Dance Across America roadshow. Shortly afterwards, Hoy fell in love, left the band and moved to Australia, where Jellyhead was also a big hit.

She was replaced by Luciana Caporaso, of Bodyrox/Yeah Yeah fame.

The original Crush LP was remixed and re-released in the US as 'Crush', with several new songs showcasing Luciana.

Jellyhead, with Hoy's original vocals, was the 2nd best-selling single in Texas for the whole of 1997.

  • OK, once and for all, this is the real deal with Crush:

Donna Air & Jayni Hoy (above) starred in British soap Byker Grove. Afterwards, they formed Crush.

This is their debut single, in its original mix. It scored a 5-star NME review from the Divine Comedy's Neil Hannon and reached Number 50 in the UK, Feb 1996.

The B-side remix, by Motiv8, became a big stateside (and international) hit months later.

Second single, Luv'd Up, reached 45.

Crush's LP, Teenage Kicks, sold 50,000 copies in Japan.

  • This song is so silly, but it's so cute, you can't help but love it.

  • byker byker byker grove aha aha aha aha

  • Thanks for posting this video. I didn't know there was a video so this is awesome!!!!

  • WTF is this this isn't the song

  • lol, ur right, this is different than the one I heard on radio and knew from 1996.

  • This is the actual version of the song. The one we all heard was someone's (Motiv 8's) remix. if you bought the single, both versions were on it.

  • now i remember thinking how fugly the brunette girl was, but i must admit this song is so catchy had to hear it again after 12 long years

  • 1995? or was it 1996?

  • 1998

  • dance mix is much better..this sucks

  • the dance version is better. this is gay

  • Gay isn't a synonym for bad.

  • Ok, this is horrible then!

  • lol the 0.480.50 LOL that look is like hahah

she is prettyeer tho the brunette blondes are scraggy looking...maby thats y they aint famous anymore... some 1 get into contact with them 2 make more songs:)

  • if this song was ever to be remade, one on group might be able to cover it to near perfection: Girls Aloud. Anyway, I like this original version, which I heard on MTV. It's a got a more steady beat and different hooks to it. I like the rocky edge to it.

  • i love how jealous the brunette is of the blonde at 0:48 - 0:50. that one look says it all.

  • if looks could kill...donna would be daed.the brunette can sing beter and is sexier.donna is a bony bad singer.

  • Damn, these girls are hot, especially the blond. Here's to the second coming of Bananarama.

  • I love the 90's i LOVE THIS SONG! i have the cd out in my car right now lol.

  • The other version is better, and is the version I remember hearing back in 1996 when I was just 9.Now I'm 21 and looking back in those years it seems like those years never existed.Such good times,I'm proud I grew up in the 90's!No decade past or future can compete!

  • I LOVE IT OVER AND OVER =)

  • uh, youtoob? just do it for free :D

  • I preffer the club mix or whatever it was called, just not this version, it's too fast.

  • Bros ARE cool :D

  • if this is the video then it shud definetely be the radio edit. the dance remix was a remix for the clubs

  • what mix is this - i prefer cd singles mixes and he original radio edit.and bros are still cool.

  • no conocia este grupo la cancion esta buena y las nenas tambien

  • This was the song of my childhood!!!! lol

  • Same! haha

  • This is not the version I like!!! This sucks!! Complete Trash!!

  • i dont like this version

  • OMIGOD!! my sis and cousin would dance to this song when we were younger!! thanks i've been trying to figure out the artist

  • Bring the Pumphouse version back ASAP

  • Thank you for posting this! I prefer this version as the guitars and steady beat made it more fun than the usual "3/4 break with techno piano" that seemed to be in EVERY 90's techno song. They sing the song and get out without the useless stuff.

  • WTF is this?

  • this version is GAY!! The pumphouse 7 version is sooo much betta!! But of course not its remved for friggen violation of rules or some friggen junk!! SOMEONE POST THE PUMPHOUSE & VERSION BUT WITHOUT RANDOMS DANCING TO IT!!!lol
