  • Crysis isn't on onlive and onlive isn't on iPhone yet. -_-

  • #Gamedev: #Steam n #OnIive sux - i want to physically own the games i paid for, i dont want my games to vanish when cloud provider will be gone or when something else would happen! Only idiots will buy game on cloud server, this isnt even buying, its renting for a full price without any warranties that tomorrow you will sill own renting rights. Think about it people and dont support shit like this - physical copy must be included all the time! Dont let greedy coprs to own what you paid for!

  • @Vood00man PSST. HEY. BACK UP YOUR FILES. BETTER YET, SHADOW COPY THEM.

  • @beatlesfan134 Only rich people can even offord Alienware PCs, and people always go the cheaper route, all Onlive needs to do is make their software slightly more stable and keep the price the same, which is damn near free with these "pre-order so-and-so and get a free onlive console". Steam is already the main source for pc gaming, so maybe you should think before you speak.

  • This is really great. I use onlive every day on pc. Where I can download app for ipod touch?

  • I got onlive it's amazing but I'm just thinking about all the computers they have to run the servers

  • @worshiphotgirls That's why I have top comment with 35 other people that agree with me :)

  • Where the **** is that app?!

  • What app did he use to use OnLive on the iPhone?

  • the thing is, if you have a slow computer or laptop, you probably have a even slower network with you, so this probably is not a way to go for you

  • @fullmetalchamploo they might, but by then onlive will be more stable than ms/sony's software, unless they pull a rabbit out of the hat I could easily see onlive taking over in a decade

  • OnLive is revolution for phone gaming, so incredible

  • i have onlive its not that great. Its got potential but theyve gota make it HD and better controls

  • Now I can piss people off cuz I'm playin black oops in school lol

  • @McFugget10 onlive dont have black ops, treyarch risked alot making a wii version of it

  • Is this a jailbroken app?

  • @metalcabana Nope!

  • when is the iphone app coming out?

    right now its only ipad?....

  • Need to buy rights to cod, halo would be nice but not likely...

  • @thumbsupifyoulikepie CoD? No never

  • I like having physical ownership of games, this is a great idea but its not for me. I just like having a pretty console connected to a nice tv and just chillaxin while i enjoy a good game. Never was the mobile gaming type, nonetheless im sure many people will appreciate this. I'm trying to stay open minded lol :)

  • @SilentWolfJH You do know onlive comes in a console form?

  • @J0N0310 oh yea, i looked it up a little more and im aware that you get a little console to connect your pc through and connect to their servers. But the console isnt whats running the game, their servers run it and stream it to u via their "console" to ur computer which is one of the things i dont like. but it widens their market to people with low spec hardware.

  • Its a gr8 system to have. Just hoping that they get more rights.

  • what do you think of onlive? everyone

  • @lukehilton14 Its good and is the cheap to have and run. would not do any wrong having it. As you can see its the first of its kind in the gaming world and the future. Must try it on your pc, if you like it then try n buy the system

  • @lukehilton14 Best thing i've ever joined.

  • this is the future

  • @TheMistakenMystiic You can buy the game you don't have to rent it. Saying the company will expire in 2013 is quite a strange thing to say because of the massive rise of cloud gaming and growing fan base of onlive which is also growing significantly. You do not have to pay a lot to get a decent connection in the UK the majority of the population have decent internet connections so it is not a problem I mean can you say for sure throughout your life you will not get a better connection?

  • @TheMistakenMystiic Not stupid in UK the average MBS is 5.2 so the majority have a good connection if you have lower than 2 that is just awful no point having an internet connection at all

  • Onlive is pretty great for people who just want to jump into a game quickly and easily. It is not designed for hardcore gamers or a replacment for disks but it is a fantastic option for people who want to play games and be on the move.

  • wish crise was still on onlive i never got to play it

  • this is amazing i cant wait for the iphone and iPad app

  • not sure if anyone can argue with this opinion but i like OnLive, BUT it definitely cannot replace the feeling of Owning a game, not just because "Wow i have a digital copy i can play offline" or "i have the disk!" i mean because the games do not feel the same, like in Metro2033, the Colouring is a bit different, like its saturated, and the screen feels zoomed in like the old Halo 2 for xbox,

unless somehow OnLive is just different for me individually, but i had it all default..and i own MetroPC

  • its a really good solution for not powerful PC, instead of paying 200 bucks for a graphics card and the 60 bucks for games you just buy the games, its nice

  • Onlive is going to kill Microsoft and sony, maybe not soon, but one day, they are advancing tier tech so fast my head is about to explode!

  • @SickTwist3d Yes but only in usa and europe. Becuase 3 mb of internet its expensive in my country.

    Onlive its cool

  • @SickTwist3d

Until people have better online then no,Also i played onlive and i have 18 mbs and it blurry and not sharp and then i play crysis on MY pc not onlive and works and looks alot better than other games i demoed on it

  • @SickTwist3d nahhh, gaikai will

  • i dont think microsoft and sony care much about their consoles, they have all the other things, microsoft have the computers and sony has the televisions as their main product the consoles are just afterthoughts, used to make an extra income

  • @gamer7916 Considering that the gaming industry is a multi-billion dollar industry, i think they care about it, and isnt just afterthoughts for them. "extra income" wow you are stupid

  • @SickTwist3d implying that neither sony or microsoft will have anything like this in their next consoles, the idea is great, but its never going to touch the three giants. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft all have exclusive titles that they wont ever let Onlive have.

  • @SickTwist3d yup ur right bro

  • @SickTwist3d Stupid amateur thing to say. Microsoft is big investor of cloud computing. The gaming industry have been anticipating onlive for the past 4 years, do you think competitors are just sitting idly by? That being said Microsoft is gonna drain every last penny out of its xbox before using cloud as its flagship gaming platform. Cloud is def the future of gaming but Onlive is playing guinea pig for the big players in both gaming and cloud

  • @SickTwist3d Onlive is very anal about the connection. There are strict specifications. Steam and an Alienware PC will destroy it.

  • @SickTwist3d No they won't. Microsoft's Xbox division probably makes up for about 15% of their profits.

  • onlive is a data network, and they've actually been considering to include the SDK for games such as UT3, and future installments of games that allow it. This means, that all mods, created by all users, can be run instantly, without a download. This same principle can apply to skins / models / maps.

  • I can't find the app so I'm going to just assume it's fake.

  • @Bobaloobi its not fake, its just not an app on the appstore....but it will be coming out for ipad soon. also, this video is very old and outdated.

  • My internet is too shit for this to work.

  • ive got Onlive Its amazing!!! D: :D:D

  • OnLive is ok on some games, but some like Homefront is really laggy

  • app called??? WHAT??

  • This is just video streaming, the phone isn't running the game it's a PC running the game.

720p sucks, I only play at 1600p native these days.

Also there is some lag with Onlive and the graphics arent as good as native uncompressed graphics.

  • @18T220 I'm pretty sure you cant get 1600p, the highest you can go is 1080p.

  • @MrDominator98

Maybe on your console or tv. But I run my games on my gaming PC at 1600p native, look it up.

2048p is the highest but I don't have a screen that can produce that yet.

  • @18T220 So you play on multiple screens making it 2048p but that doesn't increase the screen quality. So you could have just said 1080p. Am I correct? <(I seriously don't know :P).

  • @MrDominator98

Yea you can run 2048p on dual screens but I run 1600p (2560 x 1600) on a single 22'' screen.

    looks good with x16AA. :)

  • @18T220 But how does that increase video quality since the highest resolution supported by monitors is 1080p?

  • @MrDominator98

There are lots of 1600p screens out there. You need a 1600p capable gpu aswell.

  • @18T220 a 2560 x 1600 22" monitor doesn't exist yet. You can only get that resolution on the 30" monitors.

  • @Superdoopdave

    You can force 1600p on a 22''.

  • @18T220 You're not going to get 1600p if you don't have those pixels. I don't think there would be any 1600p 22" inch monitors either.

  • @Naetrox

Yea I run 2500 x 1600 in games, looks awsome.

  • @Naetrox you are right about you can't get that resolution without the pixels, but the size of the monitor does not restrict the resolution they just are not as common because the smaller the monitor the smaller the pixels are so having more isn't really that noticeable (this is referred to as ppi or pixels per inch). But on a bigger monitor like a 30" having the same resolution as the 22" makes those pixels bigger like when you zoom in on an image, so putting 2560 x 1600 makes more sense.

  • @NoKittyMyP0TPIE I know that, but the person I replied to implied that you could force 2560 x 1600 on any 22 inch monitor, which is impossible without it being the native resolution (or higher than it).

  • It cant run over 720p, Onlive will turn Gaming PC's into consoles. Also no mods.

  • no NO NO NOPE Crysis is one of those games where you have to enjoy it on a Computer or xbox

  • @Droid5767 Why can't you enjoy it from a handheld hooked up to an HDTV? Oh, and Crysis didn't come out for the 360 btw.

  • @wajalama It didn't come out for any console btw...

  • @Saytun9872 I know. I was just telling the guy above that Crysis didn't come out for the Xbox, when he wrote that Crysis can only be enjoyed on the PC or Xbox.

  • @Simplistic7SalvatioN I know. This is OnLive... it was being streamed (like the OnLive PC client) through the OnLive app on the iPhone which was then being streamed to the Smart Board. Technically, the iPhone was the one running the game in the OnLive sense of streaming. Confusing lol.

  • @Simplistic7SalvatioN I don't have any restrictions on my downloads nor do I have MB restrictions. In the US if you get internet from your cable provider you pay for the speed, not the amount you get. And its been like that here for the 6 years I have had internet.

  • @Simplistic7SalvatioN You realize what you saw on the board was steaming from an iPhone.... RUNNING FUCKING CRYSIS!

  • CRYSIS on IPHONE? my dream come true

  • Maybe the next decade. But not right now, the world is not ready.

  • Onlive is fucking beast and you dont have to download shit!! You just wait five sec to play any game its amazing

  • problem with this service, as amazing as it is, is british broadband speed are just not up to it yet

  • @davehaslanded I get 5.1mbit/s down and 0.8mbit/s up. Hardly spectacular, and this works perfectly. It's really, really impressive even on modest speeds.

  • Did they take it off because it stressed their servers too much?

  • @chadheck96 No... because EA is being a dick and removed ALL their games from OnLive and Steam so that they can offer it on their Steam copy Origin.

  • Lol onlive doesn't use too much bandwidth for me thank god for my 150mps internet

  • i wont to now wiy it is not on game spy for borderlands

  • @MrYagoyagoyago

Sorry for the comment below my IDIOT brother keeps fucking getting in my account an commenting.

  • @MrYagoyagoyago I used that exception before

  • @lotlat

I'm not lying, my fucking 8 year old brother keeps getting in.

  • OH MY GOAWD. Crysis on iPhone? Insane.

  • ...and then the guy in the back runs off with it as soon as he gets it.

  • THERES NO CRYSIS FOR ONLIVE! YOU FUCKING LIAR

  • @V3NOMXIII well there is homefront

  • @getthemoney112211 Homefront isn't my cup of tea and it's not in Crysis' league

  • @V3NOMXIII yea i know but its like good... but crysis is my coffee :P

  • @IDontHoldTheTruth i can easily afford crysis 2 but why waste money when i can use it to buy some gifts for my girlfriend?i just prefer to stay with her than playing this shit that want you to think that it is a new world when the real world is much better

  • @Gsa2134 well said, well said

  • @Gsa2134 Let's see what you say when she dumps you xD

  • @IDontHoldTheTruth im not jealous and i DO have money to afford expensive things and right now im playing Crysis(not via onlive because its not necessary since i have a good computer) so shut up.i just think that its good for people that dont have a good system and want to try out a game before buying it for a console or just buy it via onlive and play with a bad computer

  • @IDontHoldTheTruth and you are a fag that wants to spend money on a thing that is not necessary with this new technology

  • what i want to know is how the fuck did they make this playable on a phone?

  • @IDontHoldTheTruth onlive is a service, that uses computer dude lol

  • @KashgroundTM no it isnt its like a video streaming of the game and you stream the buttons you are pushing so its like a remote control for a high end computer in their central, and thats why you just need an good internet

  • I really want one, cannot wait for the UK release.

  • @mjdoomreviews You can get the PC client in the UK already, works fine.

  • @wyzarme how

  • One iPhone was lost after the show.

  • I really hope more people find out about this. It's the future in gaming. I guarantee by 2020 we will no longer need tedious hardware to run up-to-date games.

  • @Gaz0707 Do you know how stupid what you just said is?

  • @WhiteTiger225 How is it stupid? Why the fuck would I want to pay £2000 for a new PC to play games like Crysis when I can just play it onlive for £20 or something a month?

    Stupid cuntfuck

  • ONLIVE IS AWESOME. so quick to play games! I hope this concept picks up and every game becomes available. Right now the list is somewhat short.

  • I think this could work well, but not right now. we still have lots of ping and most people don't have internet connections to do this stuff...just wait till internet gets faster and that shit will pwn.

  • can my friend see me talking to my online girlfriend wich i never saw ? o.O

  • @KingofTownz basically that would work. it won't run on just any computer, just check the system requirements. however you don't own the games and you can't play the games if your internet connection for some reason isn't good enough (previously we had massive problems in our house, and i would consider myself lucky if i got 1h of internet use per day) this might be the future, but seeing as how bad an average american connection is i doubt it will be very successful for the next two years.

  • please cod

  • lol Iphone has the best mobile graphics card in the world.

  • @sadperkion lol they don't. its all just streamed. actually my galaxy s has a better graphics card.

  • @kungharry I was being sarcastic.

  • @sadperkion oh ;D thought you were a twelve year old boy who hasn't hit puberty yet and thinks his iphone can do anything =P or maybe not, but something like that...

  • @sadperkion no it does not the tegra 2 is better

  • 3000 Ms Ping ! ... xD

  • Thank good that i live in sweden, here we have over 100 mbs internet in almost every household :D

  • @andddreass no we don't xD more like 15-25mbps, but yes 1gbps (1000mbps) is available in some cities using telia... men vi har MKT bättre mobilt internet, that's for sure ;) bor i usa atm, deras "4g" är som svenskt genomsnittligt 3g...

  • @KingofTownz as long as you have 5mb internet your good

  • OnLive is amazing and gets better and better as time goes on.

I usually have 2 instances of OnLive running (so using 10Mbps approx) on my Comcast 12/2 connection and have no issues whatsoever! I am at least 500 miles away from the connected data center too.

  • Onlive is great, and you really dont need an AMAZING connection,it just gets kinda fuzzy if you dont. I've been using it on PC for months and its great

  • This is not in the app store for my iphone

  • All yall need to quit bitchin and stfu!

  • @Neverborn86 ive been thinking the same thing

  • you need 10 mbps for good gameing it a fucking hog of internet but its good

  • @Neverborn86 INR, it's been around since July!

  • Wait wait il sound stupid if I'm wrong but can u actually play the full crysis game on your iPhone or is it just watching others play

  • @baggzio97 I'm pretty sure you can play it, I'm not entirely sure.

  • @baggzio97 you will be able to play it... eventually. right now its only watching but im pretty sure soon they'll add playing the games

  • but can it run crysis? yessssssss!!!

  • @ihasacat but it can't run crysis, it can just show it, like when you watch live stream, but with the ability to send imputs. In short, its a beasty windows computer somewhere playing the game for the phone

  • @lilweezywEE7 Dude, I installed OnLive, and fucking USED IT on my PC for about a full day. The resolutions SUCK, the graphics are not on max qualities (and can not be adjusted) and the games you buy are not TRULY owned.

And FYI, the fucking point of OnLive is to be able to play next gen games on a very weak PC. My computer is TOP-OF-THE-LINE. The games are STREAMING from stronger computers somewhere else. Too bad the resolutions are horrible!

  • @SilentPhenomed I don't think it's the resolution that's the problem, it seems like it's the compression. But yeah, I agree with you completely not much of a point in using OnLive when you can just run the games normally.

  • Its ea game in iphone.

    Oh god.

  • my pc suck and it run crysis better than that...

  • @coolgames14 Wow im shocked

  • @coolgames14 dumbfuck its probably because its running on the iphone?

  • @RyanLovesTurtles u know, onlive say there will be no lagg, but this thing lagg like hell so fuck off u piece of shit

  • @coolgames14 cuz its playing on the iphone... damn how stupid can u get? it isnt made for the iphone, its just a DEMO, its made for computers only. Besides, its smooth enough that the iphone can run crysis with high graphics. so stop bitching about how ur computer is better than the iphone.

  • @RyanLovesTurtles u know what, why dont u just fuck off, do u even play PC game, no, fuck off piece of shit

  • @coolgames14 fuck u asshole u cant tell me what i play or not i can tell ur computer runs like a fucking calculator by the way u say ur computer sucks and it can run better then the iphone... pathetic. gtfo.

  • @RyanLovesTurtles, ok, let u see play a PC game piece of shit, u think ur so cool, let see u play mother fuker

  • @heyitsmejacob nope. when you buy or rent a game onlive you play immediately because its coming from ANOTHER computer streaming to you

  • Fail. Crysis isn't available for OnLive. Plus the video quality is compromised because of compressed streamed data. I'll play om my consoles or PC, thanks.

  • How do I play on iPhone?

  • Goodbye modding community.......

  • Introducing the Nvidia 580 Ibox 3

  • It feels like there is a filter on the screen like your playing a youtube video on low settings. Dont know if i like it

  • @Balrog25 that's because it only currently supports 720p video but they are planning on upgrading to 1080p in the future.

  • when will they have crysis on onlive....

  • tbh, i already tried onlive. Its terrible.

The graphics are never maxed out (seriously, its pretty annoying). YOU never own the games. Popularity is so low that no one goes online. The resolution is not at its max. I still find lag and delay.

It's game streaming, but it isn't good enough to be widespread yet.

  • @SilentPhenomed I agree 100%. I just think if they can keep the price low it would be good for hand held consoles. except the fact it need internet. I tried it just isnt good enough to come even close to consoles. They'll have to do a lot to make me give up my PC for this as a main gaming system and i just don't see it happening any time soon.

  • @aquapwnsyou Yeah, its kinda like netflix streaming compared to a DVD or Blu Ray. My PC is my Blu Ray and onlive is the netflix streaming. Which one do I prefer? Well, the Blu Ray!! Its just because the experience is better and its more enjoyable.

  • @aquapwnsyou you don't have to give up your PC for anything. Onlive is also for pc. just download the free client and then there you go. It's not a replacement for PC, it's simply a way for anybody to play pc games even if they have crappy hardware like a laptop.

  • @SilentPhenomed what do you mean you dont own the game? like its only renting or???

  • @CageMayhem yeah, you never own the game. You can buy the game but it will only stay on onlive

  • @SilentPhenomed is this thing worth getting? i mean it has decent games, and it streams right to the device. im worried about setup and hooking it up to the tv. is it worth buying?

  • @CageMayhem no. The stream is nice but....how can I best explain this? You know netflix how it first came out? How it had terrible quality, lag, and screw ups? That's OnLive. It's atrocious. BUT! Netflix a few years later has much less lag, some decent qualities, and like no screw ups. Maybe OnLive could be the same...

  • @SilentPhenomed it is still a beta

  • @SilentPhenomed Its for low end computers. If you used to playing 6 year old games, I doubt your going to complain because its only on high settings on crysis.

  • Crysis on the iPhone - yes please. Cloud computing to the people! :D

  • i stick with my high end game PC. consider this is streaming based. you always will notice lag while playing games. i really hope this doesn't break through.

  • @DeadPhoenix86 Too bad for you, 'cause it will. 100mbit/s and 1gbit/s internet connections will be mainstream in the next two to three years, and then cloud based gaming (and cloud based everything) will offer way too many advantages to be passed up on.

  • @kasuskasus perhaps so. but, you forgot 2 things. downtimes and overloaded servers. and that's one the reason i never going to be a part of it. i want to play my games, all the time. even without a Internet connection if that's possible.

so I'm never going to be a part of it.

  • @DeadPhoenix86 Revisit this comment in 5 years. :P

  • @oMRCHUCKo do you mean the pc version? Or is the Iphone version available too?

  • Enjoy your 3 second delay, dumbasses who are too lazy to save up 500 dollars for a gaming PC!

  • WTH Are you kidding me or smthing? When will this revolution of gamign happen is there a release date?
