Nugent may well be the most overrated performer in history. Derek St Holmes carried that 1st "solo" album and Nugent got rid of him. Two solid albums, Tooth Fang and Claw and the 1st solo. That was it. Wanna see a real guitar player. Al DiMeola. Nugent couldn't carry his case.

Roy Clark was, and still is a triple threat....great singer, songwriter, and guitarist. If I knew 1/100th of what he has FORGOTTEN, I'd go around with my nose so high, the Space Shuttle would crash into it! LOL!

Have to respectfully disagree with you there. I saw him at the House Of Blues in West Hollywood in 2007, he played the whole show with three Les Pauls, no Byrdlands to be had anywhere! The sound was different, yes, but still kicked major ass. Ted knows how to wring tone out of any guitar he picks up, I'll tell you that.

I was at the West Hollywood House Of Blues when they filmed that short for "Full Bluntal Nugity" that featured Derek. Derek sang all the hits, and he OWNED that audience! Of course, Ted, being the Alpha Male, was having none of it. If I were him, I would be thanking Derek from the bottom of my heart for his contributions, not to mention taking a load off me so I can just play lead guitar and scream like a banshee. Nothing against Ted, the dude can play, as I just said in a previous post.
