In the military myself and an avid kettlebell user, I can honestly tell you that the fittest infantrymen do not use kettlebells for shit. They are great for some things, and if you want to romanticize that they will make you a soldier then great, but they will not help you any more than any other circuit or hiit type training will, and certainly not as much as raw cardio.
I train a few power lifters almost twice my size. I am 210@6'2", at a size 34 waist and devoted to KB training. I can keep up with them in there lifts and accomplish more in speed, power and agility. Pound for pound, even they admit I am much stronger, and in some things (not even "pound for pound") I am stronger.
That's impressive. And do you attribute your strength gains mostly to kettlebell training? Would a dumbell held with both hands substitute for a kettlebell?
I would say a good 90% is from KB's,being I rarely lift traditional weights. If you can tune in to great form. KB's accomplish a lot. Look for an RKC instructor. Mainly with the strength, besides learning form. The KB works the grip a lot. Any Strongman will tell you that grip will make or break you. Even if you just train grip strength. Your deadlift will go up... Dumbbells don't work the same. It's the offset weight of the KB that does the trick and it won't take your knees out from the width.
Amanda and Spencer-Every time I watch this video I get teary eyed because I am so touched that you would produce a video dedicated to our armed forces. I feel incredibly honored to have been a part of it! Thank you!
I am a reservist and did a combat tour of Iraq when I was on active duty.
An NCO at my FOB shipped some of his personal kettlebells from CONUS. They were some of the best pieces of exercise equipment I ever used. I only wish I discovered them sooner.
Very tasteful and graceful. Personally I am grateful for the attention DD pays to the armed services and emergency services. Personally, I am indebted, professionaly I am honored.

Guys hate doing cardio? what is she basing her beliefs on? I'm a guy and I love cardio!, I know tons of other dudes who love it too.

@mgraysmith1 most guys loathe it. Men do however love strength training. If they can get their cardio from the weight training its win win

Powerlifters just look big? A strong powerlifter could shatter his bones.

@Entropy137 A strong powerlifter wouldn't be able to even catch up to him.

@negf03 107,152 civilian deaths as a result of the conflict in Iraq from 2003-2010 + 8,813 civilian deaths in Afghanistan . Does that make you proud?
