This song is lovely by itself -Great versions I like are: George Benson, Willy Bobo and Gerald Veasly's live version - and naturally Donny's original version
Thanks for uploading this awesome version. Question though, everyone keeps referring to this as a 'song' but I can't find a version with lyrics anywhere on the internet, does one even exist?
@funkydrumr51 Correct, it's not a song if it can't be 'sung' by a 'singer' (I'm throwing you clues here!). Just as you wouldn't refer to any of Beethoven's symphonies as 'songs'. Of course you may be from America where the English language is bastardised beyond recognition, in which case I'll let you off. ;)
Trent, I just want to thank you for stopping me in my tracks, to take time to come by...I think atleast every other day I think to myself..you need to get yourself over to the chiefs' place..cuz you know you are missing out..and, shaw nuff...tune #1...another keeper..you never have ceased to amaze me with the fine tunes you have introduced me to...forever thankfull..you iz a gooD man, my friend...miss you..

@BenjaminGoose So it ain't a "song" until is has lyrics? No, son, this is called an instrumental. That is a song without lyrics.

This song was written by the late great Donny Hathaway. I like Ernie, but the best version of this tune is by Cold Blood. Check it out.!

This is a really nice version of this song. The one I'm most familiar with is Grover Washington, Jr's version. But I like this one.
