Speaking as someone who had clinical depression for several years (and still recovering from it right now) -- I get what Aaron means, when he talks about how it used to be for him. And yeah, it's reassuring, y'know, when you're in the middle of terrible, life-hating depression, to know that other people have survived it. That there is joy and hope that you can feel someday.
