@MrRucknroll I am not sure where you get your information. But ,you may want to double check. A sniper has to be an INFANTRY Marine. They hold B-billet of 8541. And they are sometimes attached to Marine infantry units and RCT's (RegimentalCombat Teams). They do however belong to command, Fleet Marine Force (FMF). Unit is dependent on whether they come from infantry btn or recon btn. Hence, Scout-sniper, Recon scout sniper (STA) Surveillance and target acquisition.

A total of 64 Platoons. 6 platoons each in Seal team 1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,7,8,and 10.

I know this because I am a Marine (Sgt). I wouldn't hate so much of MCMAP calling it shit technique. And if I was to go into battle with someone other then the CF it would be with the Marines, we have a lot in common. The Mariens didn't fight alone in WW2, it was the Rangers who did the most work and the artillery battalions
The Marines who did fight were mainly used as a spearhead that didn't do very well in battle but they helped russia to get the upper hand not alone

In one battle, 33,000 Japs charged with swords and bayonets against machine guns.
btw, in the 40's, my countryw as already fighting. It took your country 7 years to join the war and when you did, you lost twice the soldiers that any other country ever lost in only 2 years.
The japanese empire was already spread thin and they were already fighting the British, India and China at the same time when they decided to attack the US.
No one asked the US to join, you were forced to fight.

@MrRucknroll Btn and force recon are the same Marines just assigned to different companies and play almost the same role. Btn recon is assigned to Btn landing teams (BLT) whereas force recon belongs to a MAGTF under control of Fleet Marine "FORCE" (FMF) That makes them force Recon. :) And as far as number go you may want to research some more.... there are 9 different Seal teams, and two SDV teams. A total of 64 Platoons. 6 platoons each in Seal team 1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,7,8,and 10.

Most of what people say on youtube is from either watching these videos or from listening to a family member in the Armed Forces, none of it is from your own experience.

USSR lost 8 to 11 million in 7 years. 5 million of them were Partisans(untrained volunteer troops) who wre mostly fighting on the eastern front against the larger, better trained, better equipped Germany Army and Airforce.
The US lost more troops in ratio. Idiot.

And see. The US military didnt have special forces, the Marines were teh closest thing they had. The Marine Rangers, the ParaMarines, Marine Raiders, and so forth. So, if theres any reason the Marines had high casualty's, it'd be the fact they needed a kick ass force to go in and get the job done.

The Marine Regular and Recon didn't seem that tough in Afghanistan. I didn't think they were all the hype that the US seems to show off. Heck some were even cry babies.

There are competitions between nations to show off their soldiers abilities and teh US wins in almost all areas, and solely because of our marines. (army leaves something to be desired however). The Mariens didn't fight alone in WW2, it was the Rangers who did the most work and the artillery battalions

@goodnightChesty1775 More Japanese soldiers died because they knew they were not going to survive. They were scapegoats to the real fighting. I cant remember this one battle, but it was unfair how 4,000 Japs had to fight 60,000 Marines and 16 battle ships. They put up a good fight though.
Most of the fire fights were won by naval superiority. The Marines were scared, the Japanese soldiers were not.
In one battle, 33,000 Japs charged with swords and bayonets against machine guns.

The japanese empire was already spread thin and they were already fighting the British, India and China at the same time when they decided to attack the US.
