  • loooooved public enemies 10/10 seriosly 4/10 ?????

  • The review here is really great I watched the whole review and I can see Jon Paula is really great at this.

  • know this is late but very nice middle ground for the rate-o-matic get the viewers and your score in one shot. love the show so far and cant wait to see the rest :)

  • @angeless1100 - Glad you like it! Thanks for watching! Even if you're a year late :)

  • You'll never find an unbiased review. So all you who get very angry about reviews, or oppinions, which you diagree with I reccomend not reading and watching reviews from now on. Just a heads up!

  • I love Johnny Depp. No comment. <3 :)

  • I actually loved Collateral and thought it was a very under rated movie. It had action, suspense and excitement in every scene and kept me on the edge of my seat. The performances were great all around but Tom Cruise is the one who steals the show. Not only is he as a bad-ass villain but he provides some hilarious lines of dialogue to. Over all Collateral is a fast-paced thriller with non-stop action and deserves a 9/10 because it knows what it's trying to be and it's entertaining as hell.

  • wow i get a dejavu watching this review, when i was watching the movie

i was paying no attention and all

  • I new public enemies was going to be crap when I went to see it with my gf.

We lost intrest after about 10 mins.

Luckily we found another way to occupy our time.

    Hehe.

Depp is getting used in to many movies anyway.

He needs to take fuckin break.

    And gratz on getting engaged

    Bunde de nal engage hoiah

  • boooo!!!!! public enemys was a really good movie!!

  • The movie night things are great! Ignore all the mindless hate coments people throw at you Jon, I know you're probably used to them by now but just rememebr that they're all assholes and YOU have no time to waste with them.

What you do is great and don't let people make you think otherwise man!

  • PUBIC ENEMIES!

  • Comment removed

  • I haven't really seen public enemies but i rather see johnny depp in Edward Scissorhands or Pirates Of The Carribbean in my opinion. I thought Julie&Julia was a really good most, despite the fact that I never heard of their stories before.

  • why to you think twilight is better than public enemies?

  • As a gangster-movie addict, I'd have to say that Public Enemies was fairly good. It's ending was beautifully poetic as Dillinger is shot after watching a gangster-movie. It had all the poetics of the first few gangster-movies ever made (Public Enemy, Little Caesar, Scarface), plus action sequences that bested it's predecessors, which traditionally showed most violence only in shadows and silhouettes. ....

  • @FakeID81390 .... It was also artistically lit and shot. It did have some slow points, though, which dragged the film down. I give it 8/10. It was good, but I still prefer the classic gangster-movies (Public Enemy, Little Caesar, Scarface)

  • every movie with depp rocks!

  • Jon- Why does everyone think you are a virgin? I have read that you have a fiancee at least 3 times, you would think that they would get it by now.

  • Check in YOUTUBE: "The Realm, Guilty As Charged, web series". It's a pretty interesting twist on the conventions of gangster films.

  • @Congrats!

  • love you johnnyyou only eat

  • I apologize, for slandering your effort, but I really loved this movie, but I was a little harsh.

  • Bad review. I loved this movie. I thought Depp did a great job as Dillinger, and lets be honest: Hollywood... Historical accuracy? You actually believe they are capable of that??

  • Bad review. I loved this movie. I thought Depp did a great job as Dillinger, and lets be honest: Hollywood... Historical accuracy? You actually believe they are capable of that??

  • @9001casey - Just because you disagree with my opinion doesn't make it a bad review. It was a very well written, and researched review based on my opinions.

Lots of Hollywood movies can be accurate, but that wasn't why this movie was bad. It was bad because it lacked substance or excitement.

    - Jon

  • In response to the little annotation thing in the beginning, I don't know why anyone would want to unsubscribe because of movie night - I love it :)

  • I think your "lack of compassion and empathy" for the characters are derived from your apparent lack of interest in this type of a film, which sounds as if you are implying that the actors failed at acting, in my opinion they didn't.

  • Public enemies was kinda like what you said about funny people... The trailer was funny, but the movie was boring.

  • RockAfella73 - Thanks for being an asshole for no reason... and assuming I wouldn't see your disrespectful comment.

    - Jon

  • @JPizzle1122 I didnt assume nothing i dont care if you see it or not its my opinion.

  • @RockAfella73 leave the guy alone idiot

  • @RockAfella73 - I love gangster films - this one wasn't anything special though.

And what's wrong with Trek and LOTR? And wow... you know my secret, I'm a nerd. Great investigative work there, gumshoe.

    - Jon

  • @RockAfella73 - I'm engaged actually.

Thanks, again, for being an asshole for no reason.

    - Jon

  • @JPizzle1122 congratzs on the engagement

  • @JPizzle1122 woah, ur engaged?? Nice dude! Although, if ur lookin to get kids, good luck after taping all those microwave shoes lmao

  • @RockAfella73

leave it to the last person in the world who actually uses the word "pointdexter" to make himself look like a tool in a public internet zone.

  • @RockAfella73 You seriously need to be put into a coffin and hurled at the sun at the speed of sound.

  • @RockAfella73 what's wrong with the greatest known TV show and one of the greatest movie trilogies?

  • @RockAfella73 WHO CARES!!! Its nice to know that your just one of those morons who just surf youtube looking for good videos and then bad-mouthing them, but you need to shut up! if you don't like the video don't watch it!

  • the poop

  • public enemies was a SICK ASS movie

  • Johnny Depp is a bad ass he did amazing on Donnie Brasko too

  • I've been to Little Bohemia. I took a line from this movie, "We're enjoying today too much to worry about tomorrow."

  • i respect you but i hate what u said about public enemies i thought is was really good

  • this movie is not good as the old ones..

  • my dad fell asleep watching it to but i kept watching and the end few seens when they had the big shoot out was awesome. 7/10

  • you should review tommy boy that would be sweet and fanboys also sweet

  • hey Jon nice review but honestly I think it was a great movie but I have to agree it dose get boring at times

  • wow. dude you have no fucking eye for talent. Public Enemies was one of the best movies of last year. fuck you, legit. go fuck your butt buddy while you watch "Julie and Julia" asshole.

  • i really didn't like public enemies all that much, it was lackluster, the only part i enjoyed was the scene were john dillenger escapes the prison with a fake handgun.

  • Your fucking gay you give a movie about cooking a 6??????But a movie about guns and shit a 4????Public enemies was great

  • Samsahater - I'm straight, actually. But thanks for being a bigoted douchebag about my well-expressed opinions.

    - Jon

  • review tommy boy and fanboys. please and thank you

  • actually, the title is very misleading. john dilinger only killed one person in his crime spree, and tht was an accident. it was a local sheriff who dilinger was trying to escape in a firefight and dilinger tried shooting him in the leg, but at the last second, the sheriff tripped, causing the bullet to go thru his heart

  • The great historian Howard Zinn died yesterday.

  • i was so sad

  • I found this movie was EXTREMELY dragged out.

  • one of my great great great great (4 greats i think) uncles was john dillinger... lol

  • Really? That's so cool! :D

  • Great collection of movies on filmparadise (.) info

  • public enemies was ok well only cause johney depp

  • In cinematography standards, Inglorious Basterds was a very good movie...

But the story, the morals, and the humor of it SIMPLY INSULTS ME.

It makes me ashamed to be part of this species. Especially when there are girls behind me in the theatre LAUGHING at people getting their faces ripped off!

  • Johny Depp IS AWSOME! :D I LOVE HIM!!!!!!! <3 Pirates of The Caribbean.

  • I LOVED Julie and Julia I would have gave it 9/10

  • The Hangover, best movie from 2009

  • i watched public enemies yesterday, and the only reason for not turning the TV off were because it wasn't worth the trouble.

  • Holy shit, you suck pizzel what ever..

  • Ah, i don't really know the difference, I've only seen the one, the newest one i believe, with Stephen Fry voicing the Guide :)

  • I always look forward to another movie night! It could become the next "microwave"!

  • Bleh julie and julia was awesome it deserved a better rating then that. :/

  • Your veiw is the same as mine for public enemies. It sucked except when they were shooting.

  • johnny depp dies at the end!

  • Way to spoil it you prick,

  • I think that the suit is just a little much.

  • The Hangover was a funny movie most of the movie i was laughing or saying wtf.

  • The Basterds was terrible. The trailer set it up as an action comedy, was more like a drama, with the amusing scenes few and far between.

  • Jon Paula used to be funny, but he was corrupted by his youtube partner status. :(

  • exemplarygamer - $10 says you probably haven't even seen any of the videos I posted before I was a partner...

    - Jon

  • I have seen the old videos, and they were much better.

@ sirjjreborn, calling someone "dumb" because they have a different opinion makes you yourself look dumb

  • dude "jon" just stay with the microwave show

  • @JPizzle1122 you guys RUINED MY CAREER IN YOUR OTHER SIREIES SO GAAAAH I WILL DESPOSE OF YOU ALL

  • @exemplarygamer Your dumb he is awesome

  • when i first went to see hangover i expected the traditional crazy party movie, but it was fantastic. it was like a drunken scavenger hunt.

  • where's the new movie night?

  • Inglourious Basterds was a fantastic movie! I saw it more on a whim not hoping for much, but the plot was engrossing and I really loved Brad Pitt in this movie. It was long though and half-way I got a bit bored. But overall, a good movie and very funny.

  • Your a dumbass who only thinks he knows good movies.

Public Enemies wasn't meant to be Gangster fighting all the time Movie it was suppose to be a Biopic and thats exactly what is was

I mean it wasnt the Best Movie of the Year or anything but it was still alright

and Johnny Depp did a Fantastic Job as Dillinger

and bout your comment on Michel Mann no one gives a shit what your nedy critic looking ass people love his movie that why they extremly high rated

  • You only used Johnny Depp`s name on the Title to get Viewers.I cant believe I just wasted my time watching this Piece of shit

  • And he makes money off of it. It's your fault for clicking something just because it had Depp's name on it. By the way, your username says a lot about your maturity, SuperGoku339.

  • your the sad one looking at videos which have johnny depp's name in the title.

  • SuperGoku339 - Except that they're not really rated extremely high. Nearly every film critic in the country agrees with me on this... Public Enemies was not that great. And as a biopic? I learned absolutely NOTHING about his life.

    - Jon

  • thank you for clearly stating what needed to be said

  • The Hangover is easily the funniest movie i have ever seen in theatres. Not neccissarily family friendly (haha) but nontheless wonderful.

  • Comment removed

  • @mradvanyi

Of course, before you posted YOUR criticism, you did go to the movie's website to verify the title? No? Well, had you done that, you would have discovered the movie title actually IS Inglourious Basterds (a true spelling Nazi master would have noted that Inglourious is also misspelled). Quentin Terantino deliberately misspelled the title. Now, what a gentleman would do is to post a new comment retracting their criticism and admitting fault for not doing their research.

  • Comment removed

  • @mradvanyi

Your user name, beginning with mr, implies otherwise, but for assuming, I apologize. However, being of the fairer and more intelligent sex gives you less of an excuse than the typical testosterone laden, brain inhibited viewer typically found on YouTube... so you should still apologize to the reviewer.

  • false, it is spelled basterds

  • I've seen Inglorious Basterds in theatre's. So I thought it would be a great rental, the second time around, it seemed kinda dull, and I found myself fastforwarding to the action seens. This Movie was great on the Big Screen, but it loses its flair each time you see it. I'd still have to give this movie a high rating solely on the purpose of it's action content. 8/10

  • lol I just realized I spelled seens, instead of "scenes". My bad

  • I'm usually pretty biased when it comes to movies. But The Hangover was hilarious! I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard. I said to myself, forget the plot, and just go with it... if you want to expect things, then it loses it's touch, Overall. I loved this movie. 8/10.

  • could you review james cameron's avatar movie

  • the hangover was amazing 10/10

  • Inglorious Basterds was an epic movie combining captivating spaghetti western tension and ruthless, almost slapstick, violent humour. It is like re-watching "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" in a WWII theme. The first chapter was the most movable scene I have ever seen in a movie mostly made just for the sake of entertainment. If you can put aside history and facts of the war and instead just sit back and enjoy this original movie, I will give it a 10 out of 10.

  • The Hangover wiked move i love whear they find him 10/10

  • the hangover is the best, drunk comedy of the history of the world. the plot to figure out what happened in their previous night was hysterical. The movie rocked.

  • The Hangover is a hilarious movie! The cast is comedy genius and the baby with the glasses just killed me! Definitely a 10/10

  • can u plz do district 9 next

  • Inglorious Basterds was a very good movie. Acting was superb and I really liked Brad Pitts performance. Unfortunately I feel that some of the scenes were dragged on to their longest extent and without that, it could've easily lowered the 150 minute run time. It was really not what I expected. I really liked the music, though it sometimes seemed it didn't fit in with the movie.

    9/10. Awesome rating!

  • The Hangover was pretty fun. It wasn't particularly predictable, but the plot sequence made it more interesting. The humor was often crude, but it still managed to keep me entertained. I'd give it an 8

Inglorious Basterds on the other hand was a quintessential Tarantino movie. It had a cast of amazingly memorable characters particularly Col Handa. Amazing plot progression over the top action and violence and several hidden messages made this the best movie I saw this year. 10/10

  • Inglorious Basterds was an amazing movie!!!! Many complained that there was too many serious parts in the movie but they only complained because of their pre-concieved notions of what they thought the movie was going to be.

  • The hangover was pretty meh for me. The premise was decent, but in my opinion the characters are poorly developed and the comedy is meager and crude at best. If I wanted to watch a bunch of people run around Las Vegas for two hours I'd rather watch CSI.

  • i give pe 4out of5

  • i give public enemies a 4

  • The Hangover - My oh my was that movie very funny, and, for me, worked very well. Yeah, it can be a little weak at times and there are better comedies out there, but still defiantly worth watching. 8/10

  • Inglorious Basterds was an all around great movie. The characters were well cast and there we're several memorable parts. I loved when Aldo was speaking Italian. I give it a 10/10.

  • Inglorious Basterds was an overall great movie! The story was good and well acted, and there were a few great lines that I'll never forget. The actors were well placed for their rolls, and the hints of humor throughout the film made it very memorable.

I have yet to see the hangover, but I have only heard good things about it! I'll be sure to pick it up sometime soon!

  • Hangover was 10-10 it was great i loved it

P.s were you being lazered in the eye at 5:26?

  • you slag jonathon paula

  • have they done blind side .. CUZ THAT WAS AMAZING 9/10??

  • The Hangover was amazing! I haven't laughed to any 21st century "comedyfilms" excluding this one. I'd definately give it a nine because the film was hilarious.

  • Well If you wanna know my opinion, they don't make movies as good as they used to anymore.

  • nice ima big fan of this and the microwaves- ive seen inglorious bastards truse there was alot of talking and not much real action but the parts where there were action it kicked some nazi ass i loved the gore it was enough but not too much and the constant sarcasm and wit was enough too keep me intrested oh and there are a few parts where you wont help but laugh your ass off i give it a 7.5/10

  • i thought public enemies was good movie i do agree that it was too long though i would give it an 8/10. I always liked jonny depp movies. just because it is a true story does not make the ending any less exciting.

  • Always a fan, keep up the great work.

  • @JPizzle1122

    Do you think you're clever?

  • crazypsychopersonx - I know I am.

    - Jon

  • how do i subscribe just to the microwave show?

  • i thought that public enemies

  • part of public enemies was filmed in the town oregon, Wisconsin were i live.

  • yea some was in oshkosh WI, where i live

  • LOVE the show. The new rate o matic is great.

  • I love movie night!

  • and im watching g-force and terminater salvation on tesday w00t its like a movie night 3 movies to watch!

  • and the reason the hangover gets 10/10 cuz it was just epic amazing so many laughs and the "evdince" the end of movie LMFAO XD

  • im watching public enemies on tuesday and OMG the hangover gets a 10/10Inglourious Basterds 6.5/10 cuz brad pitt wasnt in alot of it but it still was great ecspecialy "the bear jew" (the one who beats your brains out with a bat) and "stiglitz" killing i believe 13 nazi officers

  • @fatcatsrock76

What the fuck? A movie loses points for not showing a big hollywood actor every three and a half seconds?

  • @75gas no not just because of that the previews had u thinks there was gonna be alot of killing and attack but the movie only had the at the begining and end the rest was o.k but not really likeable it wasnt what people aspected and not just cause there wasnt a actor every three ina half seconds i couldnt type the rest :P

  • The Hangover was a great movie. It was verry funny and I give it a 8/10. It could have used less male nudity though.

  • how do you get that picture big enough to fit

  • zachtron5000 - How did I get what picture big enough to fit what, exactly?

    - Jon

  • JON! >:U Decide what you're going to do with the Rate-O-Matic, Please! It changes each episode. :\

  • Julia Childs was actually my great Aunt, you may not believe me but i'm not jokeing

  • jesus on stariods LMAO

  • The Hangover was absolutly fantastic. the schenanagins and hijenks were great

Inglourious Basterds is probably one of Quentin Tarantino best films. The subtitles made me pay more attention to the film and rate it a 10/10 (not a film for women)

  • Movie night is lame. any videos that has jonathan paula talking for this long sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUCKS!!!!!!!!

  • I fell asleep for a good 20-30 minutes of Inglourious Basterds, if that's any indication of how my experience was. I went in expecting more of an action movie (which is EXACTLY how the commercial sold it to me); I get scenes that dragged on for way too long, title screens that were utterly and completely unnecessary, and while Brad Pitt's character was fantastic, everyone else was way underused. it's another Tarantino Bomb in my book (I'm looking at you, Death Proof)

  • Inglorious Basterds was well directed, and well acted. Quentin Tarantino was an amazing director as always, and all the actors were at the top of there game. this movie goes up to 11

  • The Hangover... One of the biggest waste of time and money I have ever Endured, It was poorly acted and not at all memorable. It is definatly one for me to skip. 1/10

  • nerd

  • The Hangover is the the face of movies from 2009, one of the funniest, most original and engaging films i have ever seen. The plot stayed interesting and amusing the whole way through and the little surprises along the way kept me thoroughly entertained!

  • 50% of the reason i watch this is becaues i like to see Mr. paula

  • Inglourious Bastards was yet anthor great Tarateno movie. It had the right amout of everything; comedy, violence, romance. The random titles around the film destracted a bit, but other than that, i loved it!!!

  • The Hangover was well acted and the plot was on target the entire movie.

It was funny and it held your attention you found yourself going how are they gona get out of this one often.

  • I didn't really like Inglorious Basterds... I thought it was too violent for its own good (and for a Tarentino film) and it seemed more like they were just trying to exploit people wanting to see some alternate history. And I didn't feel anything for any of the characters. Simply put, it was silly.

  • I Saw Inglourious Bastards & Loved It.! Even Though It Was Hystorically Unaccurate I Still Really Enjoyed It. Although I Think Someone Else Could Have Played Brad Pitts Role. Still A Great Movie.! :]

  • i love this show

  • You should review UHF, because it's hilarious, and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, which I watched in English class.

  • the Hangover was one of the best movies ive seen it was so funny and i love how they showed you the end of the movie in the beginning. its fun how they made it like a hunt and searched for clues 9/10

  • Why are you guys (or just Johnathan I guess) doing these "movie night" things? Stick to the microwaves; that's what we all subscribe to. Are you getting paid by Warner Brothers or 21st Century Fox or something?

In that case... It's kind of cool. But it's kind of selloutish too. You know what I mean? Do whatever you have to though. Love the vids. Merry Christmas (or Hanukkah?).

  • maxxb24 - I'm doing this show because I love movies, and watched to create a new show to fit the Wednesday-time-slot. I also wanted to try something new, and host a regular-show on my channel for a change.

I'm not getting paid by anyone for these videos. And I'm never going to "stick" anything, sorry - this is a variety channel.

    - Jon

  • I'm not sure what happened to the response I posted to this comment... and and your second response telling me that I "failed" to check your FAQ thing...

Maybe you realized that you failed to request that I actually check the FAQ video... Anyway, earning revenue is the same things as being paid, this is your only job.

And you probably don't mind that I'm responding again becuase, you get revenue for interaction. That's why you respond to a lot of the posted comments.

    Keep it up man! GJ!

  • maxxb24 - A few things:

    1) I don't earn anything for comments, ratings, or subscribers. I respond, because I enjoy speaking with my audience.

    2) Earning revenue and being paid are not the same thing. I am not an employee of YouTube - I am not under any contract. They do not pay me to make content. I make content... and then earn money. It is not the same thing.

As for the FAQ business, I forget what happened. Chances are, you asked something - and I told you to watch for the answer.

    - Jon

  • the hangover was halarious without the chemistry of the characters this movie would'nt have been as funny i laughed the whole way through T Hangover i give it a 9/10

  • The Hangover: It was definitely an interesting film. It was pretty funny. Though, there were a few parts that left me disturbed... But, the utter randomness (the good kind) of the movie kept me interested. I would say an 8 or 9/10.

  • The Hangover was a movie that I watched with high expectations. That being said, it was an enormous waste of time. The plot was cobbled together with the cast-off worst parts of slapstick and shoddy B-grade humor. The characters were uninspired at best. There was nothing that could be said to redeem the film, other than the adorable Tiger. 1/10.

  • I know why people would unsubscribe to you because of this. This is your opinion. Tell me how WE do anything to influence the score. Public Enemies was an amazing film. You really need to start basing these on everybody's opinion, and not your fucked up one.

  • he did base it on everybodys opinion at i point idiot
