  • iJust Detroyed My Rc Car :(

  • ...and nothing else matters ! only the light for the car !

  • holy shit lol is that just a regular wal mart rc? or is it one of the nitro ones? that u have to second mortgage ur house to buy?

  • Very nice tutorial. A good suggestion is to house them inside the body without drilling on the proviso you have masked an area during painting the shell. This does look more realistic and stops the likelyhood of them being touched and going dull or damaged in a head on.

  • thanks for the help,i figured out what i did wrong:)

  • when i tried it the light is on no matter which side i push the switch

  • ok.i have set up every thing just like that but could you tell me how to set it up direct to the rc,so when i put ont the rc,the lights come on and when the rc comes off the lights come off as well, please help me.

  • next project...bi-xenon

  • This video is great ! And great Tutorial too !

The thing that impressed me the most is the song ... Metallica ;p

  • f off and use original metallica you bum

  • cool

  • what type of switch do you use or can i use any type do you need the solder slugs

  • what type of switch do you use or can i use any type

  • cool dude n thx..

  • hey, so where do you glue if you don't want to gle the bulb of the light? just the back of it? and did you just tape the battery down and replace the lugs when you get a new battery since they are glued?

  • Best song ever

  • Thanks mate.

  • the music is awful

  • very quality video man! Like they say, Nothing Else Matters!!!

  • gay color

  • NICE

  • TOKYO DRIFT :)) =))

  • one is brighter

  • ...............drift star...........

  • do u leave the lights pointing out or do u get a lenz?

  • in 0:52 the car cryed

it was water drops coming from the hole D:

you made a rc car cry dude

  • What RC are you using?

  • your lights are a little off the right one shines better than the left one fail

  • I know you are just trying to be smart but if you look at the video and read the captions the dim light will be explained.

Sorry to embarrass you in front of the YouTube community.

  • @iamhalam i hate to ask why did one of the hedlights come out dimmer than the other too much resistance? or different kind of light?

  • @iamhalam it's ok bro... some people don't know how LED's work.

  • what rc car is this???

  • can you make a tutorial on how to wire 4 or more LEDS for a rc car with a switch? I got stuck

  • where did u buy ur rc car

  • BEST EVER thanks my favorite part was when you drifted it.

  • what is the swtich called? theyre many haha

  • Comment removed

  • This is an awesome video. Love the Metallica music in the background. Again Great Video!!

  • @mastercrafterrogue did you reply to me?!?!, I am not the owner of the vid.

  • nice vid mate were do u get the switch from.

  • Muy bueno,saludos dede chile

  • is it ok if you dont put a switch and you jist slide the wire to the battery?

  • wat about underglow

  • i plan to buy the lights too but there are ones you can plug into. and i just painted my car bmw m3 and i masked off the head light area leaving it clear and i plan to add the headlights behind it so it wont protrude the plastic looking ugly.

  • Cool tips bro,thanx !

  • i already had those yellow filament bulbs so i replaced them with leds and it ws like replacing the stock head lights with HIDs :D

  • I really took a liking to the idea of using the batteries plastic packaging to mount the battery.. Now that's using your brain mate. Nice!!

  • very good music man

  • did you get that car off of nitrorcx??

  • lol ik that song! its by metallica

  • Nice vid for beginners, what I did was I connected them to the circuit board and whenever the car moves either forwards or backwards, they light up.

  • very good idea!

  • @iamhalam thx

  • @ballader1 i Used A diod and connected reversing lights

  • @kaveenr1 Cool one!

  • @ballader1 I wanna do it but i dont know how to hook it up to the circut board

  • @TheNightmare217 That's quite easy, the letters it has are meant for something e.g PWR = Power, the main source of electricity. Try figuring it out that way, or wanna tell me the model of your circuit board so I can have a look at it?

  • @ballader1 hey can you tell me how you did that please

  • Where did you get that switch? I don't know where to get one that small.

  • You forgot to mention resistors, as without them you will burn out the LED's

  • Hey iamhalam. My friend has an RC Police car and he watched this vid(i told him about this vid.) Anyways, me and him were wondering if you can keep the suspension, wheels, etc... when u change and install the lights do u need 4x3 inch screws or 5x9 inch screws?

  • can you show me how to make underglow neon?

  • @MyCarGoZoom no dude its a nissan 350z

  • wdf is whit the sad music?

  • my friend told me about this video and said he was gonna do it so he got tinted led's so they are green and he put some in the tire opening so the tires look like there glowing.

  • that sounds a cool idea!!

  • @iamhalam how do you install them on the bottom (underneath)?

  • what car is that ?

  • @matc815 i think its a dodge viper

  • Hey, you guys i just wanna know which or the rc car will be easier to install these lights? nitro or electric?

    Thanks

  • @wanror if ur making them yourself, its any =, but if ur getting the battery from the car battery its electric

  • Quick couple of questions, where do you purchase the solder lugs? I see that you also put a strap around the wire and the led to connect them, it seems to be copper of some sort? Not sure. Then the switch, where did you possibly find that switch? I'm and curious! And as well, i have a billion led's laying around from an old flash light, but the medal rods on the leds are real short, will it still work?

  • @defmex18 I also hooked them up to neg/pos wires and place that on a reg battery it didn't work tho. it was a 9v. I rapped the neg wire around the medal prongs poking out of the led, same with the pos. then i took both ends and put them positve and positve and neg/neg but no light appeared?

  • you should make a video on how to put speakers in rc car

  • LOL never thought of that :O)

  • great video just one question what size drill bit did you use in this video

  • Hey- Its going to depend on what size the light is. If in doubt just hold it to the bulb and it should be just slightly bigger.

  • YOU HELP ME ALOT !!!!!!!!

  • Cool- thanks ;O)

  • Really good job, and thanks for the idea with the lithium battery.

  • Thanks- you know i did this over a year ago and i am still on the same battery!!

  • Oh, sorry, i just saw the note from 2:27, i thought it was because of not enough power, sorry again.

  • Next time, wire it parallel, or use 2 batteries, the right headlight is brighter than the left one.

  • i love the metallica back ground , and good work !!

  • Thanks- BTW they are in Australia as we speak on tour.

  • AWSOME DRIFTING

  • excellent video, i was wondering were you got you drift car from, its got some tourque and decent wheel spin. nice

  • Hey thanks- managed to get this one off ebay. I've done some work on it and It does have some upgrades. I have 5 difters, 1 buggy, 1 truggy and several curcuit cars incl. M series Mini Cooper (fav)

  • im trying to do this on my rc car but with more lights....i have 4 in front and 2 in back...would i be able to use the same wireing method for all 4 or is there an easyer way?

  • Hi- the easy way is to buy the set up off ebay but if you like to do it yourself then it will still work just watch the size of the wire. good luck

  • Where do you get the supplies?

  • where did you get the supples at

  • G'day mate- this is just for folk like you that are new to the hobby. Its all DC power so you wont get hurt so go for it!

    Peace :O)

  • just search on google: ligth bucks for for the car u got u will prob find one for sale

  • just search on google: ligth bucks for for the car u got

  • where did u get those leds of light

  • that doesnt look good at all i got the real realistic lights in my 2 cars

  • G'day mate, I think you miss the point. This is for folks who want to do it from scratch. Yes the store bought items are MUCH better but we have a lot of kids and folk who can't afford such items and this gives tham a shot at having what you have for a lower cost- peace ;O)

  • the left headlight looks a little dim?

  • yes you are right see the note at 2.27

  • man! that is sick u htik i can get them in my nitro tonrado bb? not a drifter but i like to ride at night and i dont have lights but i got 4 LED lights-green but nothing else

  • are you from Australia?

  • How I can install the lights in Benz ML class

  • where did you get those lights

  • These came from Dick Smiths or in the US Radioshack

  • thank you this helped my classic 240sx look beast

  • Awesome music- nothing else matters! Classical Metallica.

  • LOL- I hear ya!!

  • thx

  • sweet song and thanks for making the tut

  • wat r those circle metal things u use to put on the battery

  • Hi- these are just solder lugs. They are anywhere in any elect. store and just provide a flat surface to connect with the battery-

  • Thanks for responding!

  • Does it work with just pro grade cars of can you use cheapy $10 cars. P.S. can you buy a light kit instead of making it?

  • Hi- this setup is totally independent of any electric on or in the car. You could use this in a toy from Kmart and have the same results.

  • what car is that, and what is a good drift car for under 250$?

  • This car is one of my best drifters. I find the best car to use is a front mounted engine and of course four wheel drive!! What really makes the difference are good drift tires. The cheap ones just dont cut it and they tend to shudder when they should be drifting.

  • thanks, you just bought a bunch of parts and made that car? or did the buy the chassis

  • now all you need is red LED underglow and you'll have one nice drifter... thats what i did

  • love the song

  • Metallica- you should get the words brilliant!

  • thank you

  • Cool- hope it helped.

  • im confused. is there a switch to turn the lights on and off? on the inside or something?

  • Yep! have a look at 1.11 you can also see the swithch at 1.18 it is mounted just under the windscreen on the underside of the shell.

  • nice vid man, guna do it for my savage!

  • thats awesome!

i will do that to my t-maxx

  • cool.. good luck :O)

  • @iamhalam lol thanks! i will need it haha

  • LOL!! I get like that too!!

  • I used a 9v batery on mine but thats because i used 2 headlighs, 2 tail lights, and 4 multi color changing 2 for the inside and 2 for underneath :] too bad i only got to use it for a day until my sprocket stripped right out...

  • that sux man! It takes a bit to setup and not enjoy sux :(

  • Do you need to put a resistor onto the led's?

  • G'day- no, I haven't and have had no trouble at all. you know this was posted Feb of 09 and i still have the same battery!

  • Hi- No this has never been a problem.

  • hello, want a rc car for my b-day, but i don't want one of thay cheapy slow ones, i'm loking for a bmw m3, what model should i buy????

  • Hey- be careful most of the M3s I have seen out of the box are running 9vlt batteries... these are the slower cars and are mostly for kids. If you get a car that has a 7.2vlt battery then you can upgrade it as you get more money. These will come with a 540 grey can motor which are fine but the finest is any brushless motor, these are dearer but are the best of the electric systems. So stick with the 7.2vlt battery and you should be happy :O)

  • thank you

  • can you run 4 LED's 2 front and 2 back off one battery?

  • yes you can it will just cut the life of the battery down having said that I am STILL using the battery that is in this vid- good luck

  • i have a question on this video at 1:21 the battery sleeve is what im calling it... where can i find one?

  • Very nice ... I like your step by step... I what to do this to one of my Transformer figure and want to know what is the smallest size in leds. Any Idea...

    Thx a lot

  • hey... soz to get to you so late!! there are a new bread of LED lights that should be just what you are looking for. They are in Australia so if you are in the States you should have them too. Dick Smiths or Tandy or Radio Shack will be the place to get them. Outside of that get on ebay and look under LED lights/bulbs you might be able to break down a cluster to get a single bulb. Good luck!!

  • doesn't need a resistor?

  • no mate it will be fine :O)

  • uhm what can you use other than super glue so you can take them out and put them on?

  • well you can just use duck tape! It does work and if it should start to peel just renew it! Cut of a piece about 10cm x 10cm and place it over the whole inside.

  • @Dejman13

    shoo goo

  • Thnx bro..it helps..and nice rc car...shits sexii..lol

  • LOL thanks... I'm 116 kilos... nobody has said it looks girly yet!!!

    Cheers.

  • how much your RC CAR this is amazing

  • thanks mate... this one was about $150 b4 ypgrades.

  • where did u buy the lights?

  • these were fron Tandy or Radio Shack to other countrys

  • Hi man that was cool :) liked the music too hope all is good for the new year man ?

  • tahts pretty cool :D

  • luv the son

    mettalica:

    nothin else matters

  • tanks for the info now my car has lights

  • can you set this up on a t maxx 2.5 or is it to hot inside the body for the wires to handle

  • I don't see why not. You could alway double up the wire size not to carry extra load but just to protect.... let me know how you got on ;)

  • Thats pretty cool man... Any thoughts or ideas on how to put some lights in the mirrors? I'v seen it done... saw a pair on E-bay not to long ago... but now there gone. Get back to me.

  • There are some new LED lights you can use. I have even seen LEDs from Christmas tree lights... don't laugh they were small and worked!!!

  • i forgot 5*

  • thanks mate- let me know how you got on ;O)

  • thx! 4 the info ill try it

  • nice verry nice drift and tips plz make another ones il use them if u make 5stars for u:D

  • thanks- more coming over Christmas when I get time.

  • Was just wondering if you could post the wiring diagram. Awesome setup, and like that you used the small battery.

  • sure have you got an email address you can send PVT to me?

  • great video

    it helped me

    thanks

    5*

  • good glad to have helped :O)

  • do you know where i can buy grill?

  • have you tried to make one?

  • no,but i'll in my new body(saleen S7)

  • tomorrow is my birth day so imma buy rc car! and... i dont have wood drill can i use anything besides drill?

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! yes you can just be careful it doesn't run off from the spot you are drilling and damage the rest of your body. Try getting a pen or something with a hard pointand pressing it hard in the spot where you want to drill this will act like a dot punch and will keep the drill in place. Have a fun!

  • THANKs for the wish! and ill try!

  • nice video,pretty cool

  • thanks !!

  • Which 3v battery did you use? CR2025, CR2032, etc. Thanks!

  • Instead of Super glue, would hot glue work?

  • Hi- I don't see why it wouldn't. Unless the heat would cause the body to blister. The thing I find with heat glue is it acts like cheese on a pizza- when you pull it way you are left with stringy bits! Give it a go and tell us how you got on. Thanks for the question.- Big Bobba

  • u got skillz

  • LOL thanks for the vote of faith LOL !!!
