@theroll actually the third one on the far right (for him) he never used, it was superfluous. it didn't have a pedal and was never miced up or triggered or anything, it was there purely for aesthetics i'm pretty sure. why wouldn't you though, it looks sick hey!

The 3rd bass drum is purely for aesthetics. It balances out the kit...Imagine what it'd look like w/ all of those toms & cymbals on that side of the kit without anything below them

@bluelink009 sometimes there are 2 kits in one. mike portnoy's kits, especially his new babinga kit is like this. the left side he uses both base drums, then he can move over to the right side and use a double base on the far right base drum.

Obviously you're Guitarded, you wouldn't have a clue what it'd be like to carry around those drums, there is absoulutely no reason for having a 3rd bassdrum unless its for aesthetics which is fair enough if he wants carry around that one extra unimportant equipment... so thats why the frigg you don't need a 3rd bassdrum...

@ned2one I don't think it's a problem to carry around a 3rd bass drum seeing as how he had someone else set it up for him. And besides, have you seen the the animatronics and crap they put on stage? They do it all for the fans. Cause why not look good while you play? So it sounds really nice, looks nice, smells like shit what with sweaty mosh pits and all... But hey, It's a good time right?
