I would love to get back into this game again. I once could beat it on one quarter. Only once, I was able to get 999,999 BEFORE facing the final boss.

It's amazing on the last level you have face all of the bosses from previous levels. Like X-MEN arcade it's all bosses. I wonder why Final Fight arcade doesn't provide that?? Probably not enough input on that or something?

Interestingly enough, when the NES version of the game was released, Ronald Regan already finished his second and final term as President. Instead of reworking the ending sprite to where it was George Bush and the text saying "President Georgie", they kept the original sprite and just renamed him "The President".

it was a 2 player game bud,Blade and Stryker,Blade is this guy here,Stryker had the green jeans,check fr the 2 player playthrough here on youtube.

Oh and "Ronnie" was obviously replaced by "the President" in the NES version, which makes it seem more timeless :).

The NES stayed true the original for the most part by the looks of it, with the exceptions of the sounds effects ("I'm Bad" is all that stayed in and it's pretty bad as we all know lol) and the exclusion of the dogs during the final boss battle.

The dogs probably caused slowdown and tons of flicker so they removed them.
