It's a source exploit that allows your client to be faster than the others, it is not a speedhack.

in shorter terms, his game is running on 5-10x speed, while you're at 1x.

I was playing on this server which awarded prizes for killing people, and I got one which let me move at the speed of a scout for 10 seconds (as a heavy, even when reved up).

I couldn't hit a thing.

@motleyhar The normal flame thrower was always the best before the other weapons after backburner came out.... Pyro's that used the backburner were considered nubs, Compression blast was way more useful.

I do, however, know for a fact that compression blast and reflections, ect, have greatly been improved over time. You couldn't always blow people out, for instance. I think my issue is that I play certain games too long so when newer players come along they don't always understand what it was like "back in the day".

When back burner was released, you were able to deflect rockets and blow people away. Just not as much as it currently does now.

That addition was actually rather recent, just a few months ago which is when I assume you started playing as you have no historical knowledge of the game. Again, my point... Due to the buffing of the Flamethrower's airblast the weapon was more useful to teammates (extinguish) as well as reflection and until it was buffed the Backburner was superior.

Most of the time VAC picks up hacks, but delays to ban for them until about 2-4 weeks later. That way, it will spread to more hackers and they would all get banned at once.
