well flashed drives load disks really slowly for some reason so for the disk to to be read as quickly as possible the dvd drive has to spin really fast

The owner of the xbox traded his in for an elite. The only thing i can think of is to replace the drive and spoof the new drive by flashing your drive key from your current loud drive to the new drive. You don't have to get the same drive however it would be easyer. If you want to know how to do this try search in google spoofing xbox 360 drive to ensure you know what your doing before you buy a replacement drive off eBay.
