Just heard that he's supposed to retire- I'll be honest. I've always hated the Yankees(Mariners fan) but I've never hated Jorge Posada.

I respect you as a player and how you conduct your life. You never gave me a reason to not like you. I appreciate your loyalty and your career. It's going to be weird not seeing your name in the lineup. You will be missed.

I like jorge , im a yankees fan. I liked his throwing arm but man did the guy stink at blocking balls in the dirt. Also seemed not to focus at times catching certain pitches that went off his glove. Im not hating but just an evaluation on his defense. It was ok but he could have been way better instead he just let a lot of balls get pass him.

Mauer is awesome but he is young and has ways to go. Posada is accomplished and is a 3x world champion. He may not be the best catcher ever but he is one of them.

honestly tho, they really dont have many guys with much success, out side of their individual stats. Only Jeter, Posada, Rivera and Pettite are the guys who have had success in the playoffs. What has Tex done? A Rod? Swisher?Burnett? and have you seen CC's postseason stats? They should be much better than last year, but they still have a lot to prove.
