Update: I am making a version with an off the shelf shield called "midivox" all you need is an arduino (2009, not mega) and the midivox shield, with option of MUX shield and some controls, or just control it all by MIDI. will sound very similar to this using most of the same code.
It is using MIDI input and playing notes which are already synced by the sequencer(on a computer, but it could use any sequencer or keyboard) currently i am working on using MIDI clock sync to control the LFO as well.
This is looking really awesome. Seems like you've got the most advanced Arduino synth project going. I hope your plan of making it as an Arduino shield goes ahead - I'd definitely buy one!
Its from doepfer, its called a "pocket control" i dont think they make it any more though. if you want a cheap one there is the korg nanokontrol or a used Faderfox LV2, or behringer BCF2000 or BCR 2000, or Novation nocturn or launchpad. and probably a lot more. I dont think you could build one cheaper then the korg nano though.
Very cool! Any chance you could post that code again?

Misspelled 'separate'. Slime on left hand side of screen. Nice sound tho.

that grey box at the top, is it just a midi controller, i need something like that to plug into ableton. is it home-made?

Thank you! I will upload everything in a couple of weeks after I set up the proper controls.
you will need a VCF though (filter) buy or build from a modular synth site?
and a +- 15v power supply. (diyaudio type places have kits or boards, its the same thing they use for pre-amps.) it doesn't have to be a fancy one.

Oh my god tis is great!!! Will you release the schematics and software?

@SLagerZahne
I put the code in the description if you would like to look at it, but no schematic yet, and the code is not final, it is hybrid pot/midi
but there will be a switch to either take midi CC in or use it with the pots (maybe output pot moves to midi as well for recording)
