They did it's a short CG movie called Resident Evil: Degeneration. It continues Clair Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy's stories. This movie goes 100% according to what Resident Evil is, but unfortunately it doesn't have all the RE characters and enemies. By the end of the movie Leon goes up a notch in awesomeness from a badass mother fucker to epic, which is achieved in the boss fight scene. Then they made a game based on the movie. It is an amazing movie.

I don't know why. Because they're greedy idiots. Because they'd rather come up with a ridiculous story about a ridiculous character in a ridiculously non-Redident Evil atmosphere, throw a couple of token zombies in it and BOOM, it's Resident Evil.

These movies are so intolerable I could scream. They almost singlehandedly ruined the franchise, just like Silent Hill and Tomb Raider.

Why couldn't the first movie have been like the first game? The game kicked ass.

Yeah, i am a fan of the games. And as a fan of the games and the entire survival horror genre, I am disgusted with every one of these movies.

Who's Alice? Since when does the T-Virus (or G-virus) make you telekinetic? Where are Chris, Jill, Barry, and Wesker? I know that wesker has a tiny part in the last movie, but all of them were the main characters. Not secondary background characters that show up in one movie and are inexplicably gone in the next.

Fakes for now, the original title for Apocalypse was to be Afterlife. But now they are moving the title back to the 4th movie in the series, showing the attack of the clones of Alice, against what is left of the final Umbrella facilities.

Sadly enough, I have yet to see the Russian involvement in the company, as shown in Resident Evil Chronicles for Wii.
