I think I've seen this trailer a dozen times and the narration is always thrilling (very good job trailer makers!) - never played the game though.

@Rahxephon63 try the 14 day trial, mind you its really really tough to start yet if you do apply for a good corp (guild) that helps you start (most likely with advice) it will be quite fun to play there is pvp and pve but pve gets boring after 1 year or so maybe less for some people but pvp is ever challenging

eve is great coz u don't need to play it all the time, character mostly Trains in skill points alone even when offline. You just take a course of training and switch skills manualy every now and than. Thats why many 'bussy' mature ppl play it.

The text to this trailer says something to me that doesn't make me want to buy the game, but interests me still. The idea that mankind has overstepped its boundaries rings on a fairly familiar note. Not getting the game, but I like the trailer nonetheless.

well i'd like to know what is it that made you decide not to buy the game based on the text of it, ^^ well basically game has not much to do with the text of the trailer it was just an idea to show the ships besides letting the user understand that EVE its a PVP based game not that you dont do anything else but you gotta be concious that is mostly the main interest of eve for fighters. but merchants, scavengers and crafters do have their very own place in eve.

Thanks for the info. To tell the truth about my reasons for not getting the game, I actually tend to have no attention span for video games. I have too much else to do, and tend to like creating my own stories instead of playing out those of others. But I'm weird, so...oh, well. :-)

Well, to be honest, in EvE, the story is made of the players. The game doesn't decide who your enemies are, you do.

Yeh. I know it can be . But I just prefer... I guess I'm saying I prefer to not play video games. I like making movies more than playing games, no matter how good the game. If I'm playing a game with a good plot, I think about how to make a good movie out of it. I'm just more of a filmmaker/performer/musician than anything else, mentally. I have to be creative without using others' boundaries.
