@gnahzdivad , that's what pisses me off, they could have ported Unite simultaneously or shortly after 2ndG because it was NOTHING but text. There are a few sounds like "HI!!!" and such but that isn't important or could have been recorded in one go. I don't know if they want to build tension in the US by making us wait for it but all it does is makes people pirate the Japanese version.

@chiefelite88 , that's because they have a big invisible hit window so as long as you hit near them it will detonate them. With sleep attacks it is a 3x multiplier for the first thing that hits them. If I aimed at the bombs with the arrow it's possible that the arrow might have kit the Kirin a split second before the explosion goes off, If it does, that means the arrows get the 3x damage instead of the bombs. By shooting above the bombs I ensure the bombs get multiplied.

@MHFU4life123 , that's what I used. I had Felyne Gunpowder skill. It automatically turns all bombs into bomb+. So all I have to do is use LRG Barrel Bombs and they all become LRG Barrel Bomb+ once I set them down. It's a great skill to use.

YukiikoVX is right... look at the FAQs. Kirin IS weak to FIRE & WATER, and kirin is most resistance to dragon. the armours do not really show the accurate weakness.

However, elemental does VERY little dmg to kirin anyway, so stay with using a powerful raw.

my advice, keep firing pellet S, especially for small kirins.

I haven't used any HR5 weapons in like 700 hours of gameplay or more. My 2ndG stuff was converted from my MHF2 data and I was HR6 for the majority of me playing the game. As far as bow, anything dragon is good against Kirin but there are only a few dragon bows on the game. Raw damage will do a lot as well. Sorry but I didn't start using bows till I was a high HR and only got the best ones, I don't know which low level bows are good. Check "Minegarde" for the weapon list and pick one out.

I don't use Kirin G Rank armor and have like one piece of HR6 Kirin armor I made to get a look I wanted for a music video I made. I never looked at his weaknesses since the first game where he wasn't classified & had no weaknesses. I only looked at how he was classified as a dragon now. I tend to focus on raw for Kirin. I use the Dragonbow Meteor for the highest raw damage/affinity/coatings/charg­es balance that I like. I assumed dragon would do better than anything.

well that depends on your own preferance.

the bow is stronger and weaker at different distances (strongest at the arch) with a strong melee attack, and bowguns have more power shots than bows at close to medium distance, but VERY weak melee attacks

Yes, using things like the Sandman Spike Sword and Shield can also work but if you are in the middle of a combo you can hit him once too much and wake him up before he even fully goes to sleep. So I prefer to use range for sleep.

That would be "Load Up" or "Loading". I think load up, though.

The skill is called "Load Up" and you get it from increasing your "Loading" skill points. White Fatalis armor has it, for example. Or you can use Ammo Box Jewels (Lapislazuli, Akantor Scale, Dragonwood+) or Magazine Jewels (Lapis, Fatalis Horn, Rathian Spike+, Thunderbug Juice)

Yeah, speed fire. But I think it is called something else on the techniques. Like "psychic vision" points gives you autotracker, not "autotracker" points. Brown Blangonga gives you speed fire, I think (either that or I used jewels to get it) so check that to see what the name of the points are.

All monsters other than minions, Fatalis, Akantor, Ucamulbas, Lao and Yamatsukami have different sizes. This happens to be a G Rank (HR9) Kirin so he is really big. They tend to get bigger the higher Hunter Rank they are.

lawlz, me and my friend sleep bomb when we fight kirin, except i use a bowgun, and instead of usin farcaster to get to safe place to give me more shells and sleep herbs, we just do that while kirin is charging us

It's easier the way you speak. Bowguns take only a few shots. Plus if you are in the same room as people you can tell them to give you stuff at a certain time, if there are more than 2 of you then the other can distract. I was using bows that take a lot more shots to sleep him and I was on Xlink Kai where you can't talk so I told him before the match to farcast when I beaconed him.

Depends on the attack level of the sword, the sharpness and the strength of the bombs. Too many factors. But typically the bombs are stronger unless you have adrenaline or something.

Yes, ESP works for any non-bow/bowgun weapon. I recommend either the armor you get from Yamatsukami (Guardian Spirit, I think) or the Silver Rathalos armor. Both are kinda hard to get though.

Put it this way. The old G Rank missions are now just 'High Rank' quests. And High Rank to G rank on here is about the equivalent of the jump from Guild to G on the last game.

Nah, Serenity has Draw Critical on his armor and the highest Raw damage GS on the game, so he has probably about 1600 raw damage on it and with critical it probably brings it up to about 2000. That combined with a load up I have on my armor makes my bow damage higher.

oh yes i remember that when i was playing with my young brother in this game we fought kirin G class with great swords if i was right nearly every critical charge attack will knock him down in a second lol then we slayed him in just about less than 10 minutes if i didn't forgot .... our armors was me : full armor azure rathalos zx and my brother akuma torami full armor if i'm not mistaken .

Azure Rath gives you Reckless Abandon that increases your affinity and makes crits happen more often so that was probably right.

Thank you very much.  Most of my guild is around the same level as I am, but we all excel at a thing or two more than the rest. Inya is the only kind of lose end. He's pretty good but ends up doing stuff we all don't like, like shooting us while he is using guns or bringing CWCheat crap on missions without telling people. There's an Ucabulas vid I refuse to upload because he cheated in it and I didn't know till halfway through recording it.
