  • whats the songs name

  • @fellbind description..

  • Thanks for the vid !

  • Is it possible to do in a folder in your hard drive elsewhere and not just the top folder?

  • @tomysshadow Yes this works with any folder. For example: attrib +s +h "C:\Users\User123\Pictures\secret images"

  • @Filmer1eX Yes I tried it out. At first I was confused because it wasn't working but it was because of spaces. It wouldn't work with any folder on XP though... Documents and Settings contains to spaces. I didn't try using the %20 method though...

I didn't like this method however because it didn't actually hide my folder... it just dimmed it a bit but it was still obvious. So I found a program called WinMend Folder Hidden and it makes files hidden and inaccessable within the program. Yay!

  • @tomysshadow If you want to make sure no one can access your folder the safest bet is to encrypt it. The easiest way to do this is download a fere program called 7-zip and compress the folder inside a password protected .7z file. 7-zip uses AES-256 so as long as you have a strong password no one in the world will be able to see your files. And ofcourse after encryption you can hide the compressed archive anywhere you want.

  • @Filmer1eX Yes, except I wanted it to be invisible too and I didn't want to create a virtual drive.

  • great way to hide porn...i must say

  • Does anyone know what the songs name is?

    Just asking.

  • @ChaosKaiser Yes its in the description along with a download link, lol.

  • i would bet $1000 that 90% of people who watched this video, tried to hide their porn

  • @g0d11c3 I did xD

  • @grdv10 well, funny thing is that this is more popular with

    Male 13-17

    Male 35-44

    Male 18-24

and 13-17 year olds always have porn on there computer

  • @g0d11c3 That's funny, I didn't.

  • @ChaosKaiser well we will need at least 7 more people for it to be a bit more accurate. if the next 7 people that comments me did it for the porn, i would have won the bet. but for it to be really accurate, we gota get everyone that saw this and ask them

  • try this fool proof way of hiding

*) hide watever folders/files u wanna hide in normal way by" dont show hidden files" then

    1) open "run" type regedit

    2) goto this address HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINES\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENT VERSION\EXPLORER\ADVANCED\FOLDER\HIDDEN\SHOW ALL

    3) then change the hex value of "CheckedValue" from "1" to "2"

done your files are hidden forever unless you change that value again to "1"

i bet those files can never be viewed... unles you change values

  • @tejaskasalkar Yes I know all of this, but this video was intended for the average guy who doesn't know a lot of PC's. Also this code wouldn't work: attrib c:\"vista black" +s +h the correct command would be: attrib "c:\vista black" +s +h

And those registry edit methods can all be bypassed just as easily as the +s attribute. For example using an 3rd party file explorer.

The only real way to hide files is encrypt them by adding them to a password protected .7z or .rar archive for example and...

  • @tejaskasalkar ...after that rename the archive to disguise it for example to nvd_driver.sys and move it to %windir%\system32\drivers (or somewhere else).

  • hey first of all you can u spaces for that file...... only d xtra thing you wud need to do is in cmd type the name of file in double quotes....

for example u wanna hide file wid name "vista black"... then your command wud be..

    attrib c:\"vista black" +s +h

n this iz not the full proff way if hiding d files.... this super hidden file can b viewed by tools>folder options>view> unmark the option"hide protected operating syste files(recomended)"

  • @thesevenghost I also know alot of ways to hide folders this video was just intended for "normal" people -.- Ofcourse anyone can crypt, bind, mess with the headers etc etc on a file but this is the easyest advanced way of hiding files. Also blocked for triple posting. Have a nice day fag

  • I cant hide it, it says, Hide is not an internal command, external command, program or batch file..??

  • @Kuuboman Are you sure you used this command: attrib C:\your_folder +s +h

  • @Filmer1eX Now it works:P thanks

  • omfg sweet music

  • What if I want to make a download but no one can see it in the "My Programs"?

  • You mean making a silent install? An script that installs something and after that hides the files?

  • Hey man!!

    The grafik video is suck!!

  • when u buy the comp and u shud have some hidden folders,

so like how do u unhidden it

  • Are u sure you want to unhide all of your system files??

  • @Filmer1eX I would like to hide files In .dll or images too xD. Would you mind helping? Thanks for this vid too - 5 Stars !

  • Check out this vid: /watch?v=q6AQL55zMR4

you can also do this with .rar archives and you can add it inside any file. The best part is that you can still upload the image on a image hosting service and that way share "private" files, a great add to the security is password protecting the archive before adding it to a image (or any other file).

PS. Just make sure the uploaded image has not been recompressed by the image host becouse that will destroy the hidden files inside it.

  • Yes, DUDE, Thank You <3

    Exactly what i needed :)

  • Np :) btw if ur interested I can tell u how you can hide files inside images or other file :D

So you could for example hide some secret files inside a .dll file that you can put in your system32 folder or you could add some files inside a image.

  • @Filmer1eX yeah, that'd be awesome :D

do you have msn? it would be a lot easier :P

but it's up to you. I'll send you my msn in a pm.

  • I know a good youtube video that explains how to do it. Or if you want I can show it directly on ur PC using TeamViewer, its a remote desktop tool.

I have messenger but rarely use it. If you have steam just tell me ur nick and I will add u. Im always on steam when my PC is turned on.

  • @Filmer1eX Alright, my steam is VampireManiac.. i think. i don't remember :P

    what's your's incase i'm wrong

  • what is teh music?

  • Music: DJ Contacreast - Melody From Heaven

    Download: (Look at the description)

  • oh btw nice music :P

  • You just made the folder hidden and system file! Nothing special! You can view your "super hidden folder" by going on "tools>Folder Options" on view tab uncheck the option "hide protected operating system files (recommended)", and also check the "show hidden files and folders"!

If you do it, the files will be viewable!

  • Yep :) but most people don't know that trick :D

This is just a simple way to hide your files in a way an avergae person can't find them.

The easyest way to securely hide files is to add them into a zip or rar folder and after that password protect it :)

And if you want to hide the file names too first create a empty zip file and name it (eg 123.zip). After that add ur hidden files into that zip file. And then add that zip file into a rar file and password protect the rar file.

  • *average

  • @Filmer1eX

You can just check the option "Encrypt File names" which is on "set password" on "advanced" tab (WinRAR program) ;)

  • K :) Im not very familiar with winrar coz i use winzip myself :D

I know rar is better but i very often need to compress files to save space, thats why i use zips.

  • I mean i don't very often need to compress files :D

  • Comment removed

  • so how do you delete this file exactly, just like a normal file or do you have to do something special? Nice video btw

  • You just un-hide it and after that delete it :)

But you can't just like navigate to the directory and delete it with cmd if its super hidden. It will just say "file not found" until you unhide it.

  • listen you can see hidden files by doing this....when open My Docments, click on "tools" and then click "folder options". Now click at "View" button on the top and when you see some ticks go down a bit and you will find hidden files and folders....change from "don't show hidden files and folders" to "show hidden files and folders" \\\\\and when you do this you will see hidden files and folders :D

  • This is not a hidden file... Its a super hidden file. You can try making a super hidden file and try to get it visible if you don't believe me. Super hidden files cannot be deleted, or viewed even with the dir command.

To access a super hidden file again (delete it, view it etc) just unhide it.

  • Tk´s dude !!! Already subscribed u :D

  • YOU ARE MY GOD NOW!!! thank you sooo much. thats one more sub 4 u.

  • @TheGuyInUrCloset Im glad it worked for u :) Ur comment is the first in 2 months on this vid :D

  • wow, thats too bad, this is something i have wanted to know for years!!

  • can you do this by pressing right click on folder and check "hide folder" (or something like that) i mean is it same?

  • No its not the same. That just hides the folder but its very easy to unhide it. With this method its much harder to unhide the folder and if you don't know the location it makes it even harder becouse super hidden folders doesn't show up on dirs catalog (navigate to the folder you have your hidden file in and then type "dir". You will see that the super hidden folder is not shown there) and also you can't delete super hidden files, you first have to unhide them.

  • you rock man

  • WATS THE SONG CALLED

  • description.. Song name + download link.

  • For Super hidden

    c:\>Attrib my_folder +s +h

    For Un Hidden

    c:\>Attrib my_folder -s -h

    Thanks.

  • Thanks Filmer1eX.

    Now try this one.

    open regedit

    go to=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

in Lsa you find "forceguest " DWORD entry.

Change forceguest hex code 1 to 0.

    Then goto c:\folder1 property.

you find a secutiry tab Click denay access

for a specific user and change this regitry "forceguest" 0 to 1. then any on does not access the folder1.

  • nice that too, tk´s :D

  • Np :)

PS. If you use windows vista basic I can tell u how you can enable the vista aero glass theme (like in vista home premium)

  • this is greate. but if c:\folder1 is super hidden folder then we open this folder

by typing c:\folder1 in address bar and press enter.

  • Yes, or type in command prompt: start c:\folder1

  • whats thw songs name

    ????

  • description..

  • What the hell?? "super hidden" lmao..

Just simple cmd command, nothing special.

You can see these "super hidden" folders and files by changing few settings in Tools-->Folder settings menu.

  • yes?

  • man ur hating on this guy like crazy

  • it doesnt work for me :\

    cmd cant find the folder

  • nvm it works now , but the file doesnt dissapear , the file pic jsut becomes see thru

  • If the folder doesn't dissapper, go to Folder Options > Show and press the "Use default settings button". Then press ok.

  • make sure the folder doesn't have any spaces, otherwise DOS can't find it eg. if your folder is C:\my files\ rename it as C:\my_files\ or C:\myfiles\ then try :)

  • Tosser! And if you have 'show hidden folders' enabled?

    pointless isnt it?

  • This makes it so you can't see the file even if you got show hidden files enabled -.-

    Thats why its super hidden.......

  • but not if you remove 'hide protected operating system files' ;)

  • yep, but you don't let the system files to be shown all the time. This is the best "natural" way i know to hide folders. To make a realy super hidden folder you can use eg. drive data encryption, but then there is a chance you lose the folder forever (like happened to me in my old PC)

  • whats the tune?

  • Music name and HD download located at description.

  • <3 thanks

  • dude i love ur techno songs ^_^ plz make more tutorials <--subscribed

  • If you like them go look: bounces newgrounds channel. Goto: b0unc3˖newgrounds˖com

  • Video was great and all but your code doesn't work!?!? There shouldn't be a second slash (\) after the folder name.

  • Idk. Try, or then try to use the code on a different folder. (Eg. C:\Users\User1\Desktop [in Vista] in XP on C:\Documents adn Settings\...)

  • I've figured it out!

    Instead of C:\your_folder\

    you do C:\your_folder +s +h

There is no second slashy thingy.

  • Try creating a different folder. Like: C:\x and then attrib C:\x. If this doesn't solve ur problem make sure you run the command prompt as adminstrator if you are in vista. If not then pm me.

  • ahaha i know that one XD i use it often! my friend uses it to hide his porn videos lol.
