I'm confused. On the first tray you wanted to put the finish on before the felt and then on the second tray you say to put the felt in before you finish? Which is easier/better?

just ran down to the thrift shop. Got a jacket and skirt- also black velvet -for 2.19! gonna use it to line a trinket box if I can find someone willing to let me use their tools.
