  • @ilovebutch19: agreed. cockatiels are the best!

  • @starscreamwarrior: thanks! their wings aren't clipped. they just prefer to walk :)

  • your cockatiels wings must be clipped cause mine just loves to fly after me.

i might get him clipped next week, other than that cute video! i love cockatiels!!!

  • 1:06 oh shoot wrong way!Hey wait for me!

  • Cockatiels are the greatest pet in the world to have. I have a 24 year old Albino cockatiel and she is the love of my life. If something happens to her I would definetely get another cokatiel.

  • @ilovebutch19 cockatiel

  • Too cute!

  • That is cute! How do they not poop? Are they potty-trained or something?

  • that is sooo cute~~~ i wanna kiss them! :P

  • @zeffyismylove If you want to let your birds out but they are flying into things, you may want to get their wings clipped at a pet store (clipping wings = trimming the flight feathers to limit flight and prevent injury. it's like a haircut; no pain & the feathers grow back in a few weeks. You don't actually cut the wings!!!). The more you let your birds out, the more they'll get used to being outside the cage. Just stay near them so they know they're in a safe environment. hope that helps :)

Thank you so much for the info yea we were thinking about it but truth is our male one loves to show off and spread his wings at us like his some sort of eagle and its so cute when he does that hahaha and his wing are gorgeous but if its safe for them to have their wings clipped then i might give it a go because they need the exercise of coming outside the cage for once

  • @zeffyismylove

ya, that should be fine. just make sure the pet store you're taking them to has experience with wings/nails trimming for birds. if not, take them to the vet to get trimmed. in my experience, trimming doesn't affect the health of the plumage. the feathers grow back to the original state. and even in the trimmed state, your bird will still be able to show off. only 2-3 feathers are actually trimmed. it's noticeable, but you'll see that there's not a drastic change.

  • 1 dislike?!?!?!?!?! who can dislike such a thing!!!

We our female bird come out but she keptd hitting the windows and walls and we didnt want them to hurt themselves so we dont know what to do.. we have them in a fairly large cage but we just feel like they need some sort of flight exercise. Do you know if we should let them out?
