The genre was established by OOMPH!, not Rammstein. Rammstein is not pure industrial metal, but a lot of its songs have a lot of its themes. Rammstein is a great gateway to industrial music IMO.

Rammstein are in fact "Industrial Metal" if you look at the genre and compare piece by piece, but then again, Rammstein are unique and have a variety of tracks. IMHO they are Industrial Metal.

Rammstein is "Neue Deutsche Härte" and nothing else. This genre was even established because of them.
You can call it metal, hard rock or whatever. But it's not industrial ^^
