God this movie is so... awful, the fight scenes are fake, when people are flipping it's obvious they are on strings, the fighting just looks so fake! Not a mention, a lot of the costumes are kind of gay, as a matter of fact, a character from the first one said he wouldn't do the second one after he read the script, he thought the movie would do too poorly, which he was right.

Everybody in the theater was TRASHING this film. They were SCREAMING, HOOTING and HOLLERING and how ATROCIOUS it was!!

Seriously, everything about MKA was so bad it was WONDERFUL. Wonderfully TERRIBLE dialogue, "special" effects, storyline, costumes.....and ESPECIALLY wonderful cheese factor! Jax was so STEREOTYPED and Raiden was such a NANCY BOY (Gayden!). When Jax said "I can't believe what I can do with these babies." A patron replied "Jack your dick!"

@FeelRapp The reason why people hate this movie was all the other actors were replaced except for 3 who were in the first movie. The FX were really bad, Liu Kang got his butt kicked in almost every fight, Sub-Zero and Nightwolf didn't last in the movie, Sheeva didn't have a fight scene. The Animality was crap. fight scenes weren't as energetic as most of the fights in the first movie, and Raiden and Shao Kahn as brothers made no sense at all.

If Sub-Zero, Cage, Nightwolf, Rain, and Jade had been given larger roles, it would've been better. Also, there was supposed to be an extensive fight scene between Raiden and Sheeva that was cut. It shouldn't've been. The movie itself is decent. If New Line Cinema and Netherrealm Studios remade the movie and learned from their mistakes, it would be a hit.
