I partially agree with sagtime95, however mostly agree with woodcuttin101. Yeah the yote shouldn't have been let to suffer as long as it did, however, its a damn yote! in light of what jamaica0535 said, we have the same issue here in WV. not all areas, maybe only half. But we do have said issue. and If I ever got the oppurtunity to take one out, not sure I'd mind if it suffered a bit, however I would end it as soon as i could tho.

Anyone who would trap an animal and then take video of it while it is in pain and distress, has no integrity. I am fortunate that I only know hunters who eat what they hunt. They take great care to insure that an animal suffers as little as possible.

i have yotes at my back door. i shoot em when i see them. I took one last week and another charged me. If my five year old daughter would have been out there they would have had no problem. They are a menace and the state game warden has no problem with us putting them down.

We are trying to get trapping for coyote back here in northern Maine are coyote population is crazy and are deer population is down because of the last few winters we have had and because of the coyote but first we need that accidental take permit passed.

I know a guy that shot 16 beaver last summer and left them to rot because they were flooding his land! If they are trapped population stays in check, the furs are sold which creates money and jobs. @1138boer domestic dogs and coyotes are way different. does you dog slowly kill a deer by biting it in the ass for several hours before it finally bleeds out? No. look it up there is a trail cam video of a pack of coyotes killing a deer by doing just that. I think it takes about 2 hours for the deer to bleed out. you can see the deer is still alive when the coyotes start eating it.
If a person wants to trap any kind of animal, they should first be required to stick their own hand in the trap they will be using so they know how it feels.

Cows have a spike go through their head or chickens mechanically pulled while alive? Coyotes have no predators where I live. Helping to decrease their population through trapping helps reduce turkey and deer depredation by coyotes. Few people realize that years ago we had to trap to have clothing and food. Now the same people that disagree with trapping are like hired assassins: They eat animals that others have dispatched instead of giving the animal the honor of harvesting it themselves. Every animal I trap and harvest I use whether it be through clothing or nourishment.

I am a hunter and I did not fancy this video at all. I wouldn't have made a video about this and I certainly would have shot it as quick and humanely as possible. You are giving the anti-hunters a reason to bitch and thats the last thing I would like to hear. I do believe that if you are planning on taking somethings life I can understand a couple of pictures but just sitting there and watching it feel pain while you are fully capable of ending it immediately is quite pointless. Most animals used for fur in coats and such are caught this way, snares and other methods of trapping animal has been common practice for much of human history.
In many places, the coyote has thrived as an apex predator in environments that it is not native to and become a nuisance. We used to have herds of deer, but when packs of coyotes eat the fawns they become scarce. One of our cats got eaten.
And they are often very hard to hunt because they are very good at not being seen.

I know a guy that shot 16 beaver last summer and left them to rot because they were flooding his land! If they are trapped population stays in check, the furs are sold which creates money and jobs. To just shoot and leave to rot is the true waste of life. Animals need population control!

@1138boer domestic dogs and coyotes are way different. does you dog slowly kill a deer by biting it in the ass for several hours before it finally bleeds out? No. look it up there is a trail cam video of a pack of coyotes killing a deer by doing just that. I think it takes about 2 hours for the deer to bleed out. you can see the deer is still alive when the coyotes start eating it.

Cows have a spike go through their head or chickens mechanically pulled while alive? Coyotes have no predators where I live. Helping to decrease their population through trapping helps reduce turkey and deer depredation by coyotes. Few people realize that years ago we had to trap to have clothing and food. Now the same people that disagree with trapping are like hired assassins: They eat animals that others have dispatched instead of giving the animal the honor of harvesting it themselves. Every animal I trap and harvest I use whether it be through clothing or nourishment.
