as a woman, when i give attention to men they become more and more opinionated and aggressive .. i think they feel challenged and feel they need to have opinions. I hate attention, it makes me angry because i feel i have to perform.
There is realy no point in being angry, as there is little conciousness in all this. Where is the choice ? Do you conciously chose to "feel i have to perform", do men conciously chose to formulate and then comunicate their "opinion" ? It's safe to say it all automatic, "mechanical". This is exactly what Idres Shah is talking about, Man is asleap, on autopilot, preprogramed stimulus -> reaction. Nothing personal, just mechanical.

@Fraterculae There is more than one type of attention. There are different types of attention with different properties and quantities.
If you give to men attention as a woman, this is a certain type of attention.
This attention is recieved as a stimulus by the other person, and causes a certain ( predictable ? ) reaction.
This is a law. It is automatic, or "mechanical".

Attention is a material substance, which can be quantified. My Attention is limited, I only have a certain quantity of it.
Sometimes my brain feels like paper pulp. :-)
