Love them, they sang happy birthday for my bro one time when they were just testing Atlantic Canada. Dermot was the cats ass, and Fergus (or Frogie as Dermot called him drunk) and Dennis those men could harmonize like you wouldn't believe
Was not the PE room, I asked my Dad, he was a reg, no it was not even the basement room. As the poster said he "thought" it was a PEI bar, but couldnt say for sure. What my dad siad for sure is it wasnt PE room although I know Ryans played there often
Absolutely amazing, best version on the net. Damn hard song to learn but I'll keep trying. Saw a more recent video of this and Fergus hasn't lost a thing, way to go man. I hope to see them play someday.
This is brilliant. I wish someone would remaster all of Ryan's Fancy stuff and sell it digital! I'd be the first guy with my money out for everything they've ever recorded.
@FreshWaterOtters I've converted several of their albums into digital form, including "All New Songs" and "Dark Island". If you find a modern record player and the right software it isn't very difficult, but nowhere near as cheap as just buying it one the internet so I understand you sentiment.
I haw listened to about 4 or 5 versions of Rocky Road to Dublin but this version is buy far the best of the best. I have even learned to sing it whit this song. P.S Is there an celtic group on You Tube and if there is how can i join?
I can't express in words how much I love these guys....I would do anything to have their albums on cd....i would trade my whole collection with anyone!!!
Should I upload the same version but louder?

Thank you for this- my parents are in the audience- we grew up on Ryan's Fancy, they were friends of our parents.
Often imitated, never duplicated!

For me the best version of this extreme-hard-to-sing song. He is in timing (and in tune) all the time with the audience fast claping. Respect!
