I just turned in my MA thesis to my defense committee on Thursday, so I finally have time to read for pleasure again!! It was kind of a mistake choosing one of my favorite authors to do my thesis on, because now I think I'll be pretty sick of him for a while!

@beyondelsewhere Thank you! Do you know Osamu Dazai (1909-1948)? He was a Japanese author who was most active in the immediate post-war period in Japan. My MA is in Japanese literature, and Dazai is pretty much all I have been reading all summer and up to now! He is really fantastic, but I don't think I'll be reading him for a while!
