yes at least 20years since I last heard this.I remember this tune leaving a sunrise do over in east london somewhere?,having had an outerbody experience the previous 2 hours ! so was a very dreamy exit to this tune
True Gem in the making so so many years. They need to have made like this today, especially the way things are today.I recall dancing for what seem like hours they would play this song and the dance floor would be overcrowded. I am so looking forward to cranking this classic this summer wth the top down on the convertable. Aowl!!!! ""Open your Eyes""'
Music as it shoud be; havnt heard this gem of a track for two decades, just phenomenal - thanks for uploading and bringing back the good memories fella!!
Thanks for this post---Iooooved this back in the day and haven't heard this in 20 years! I didn't realize it was Marshall Jefferson bc I only always heard it in mixes and couldn't make out the voice. This was my joint!
@flygirlmom Byron Stingily has got a credit on the record info so I assume it's him doing the vocals, he did a lot of house tracks back in the day, his best known is 'Ten City - That's The Way Love Is'
This is a great tune, has that early morning sunrise beat going in the background and takes me back to the 5am push.
The world mix is also really good and has more of an upbeat.. I still can't work out which I like more.. but how can one have a favorite ...
@6robski8 Hey---Thanks! I assumed the voice was Marshall Jefferson so I learned something new. 'That's the way love is' by Ten City was huge and I loved the strings in it--- but my favorite is 'Devotion'! I see Byron Stingily has the co-production credit with Marshall Jefferson. Do you have the 1987 'Devotion' club mix 12" recorded at Chicago Trax? If anyone would have it 6robski8 it's you!
@6robski8 Oh yeah---forgot to add this to my last comment...Your right! How can you have a favorite because it depends on the flow and mood, but too many people who aren't authentic "club heads" say a song like this is too slow to be "real house" when they don't realize many of the original tracks had a slower hypnotic beat...
Wow what a blast from the past. Lets all get aboard the classic house carpet & take flight. Lets go back way back house junkies & party our asses off. Miss those fuckin days so much. "REPEN THE N.Y./N.J. AREA" THIS REPLY GOES TO ALL HOUSE HEADS PEACE
