  • no wonder worksafe bc is so brutal on our trade, great vid for poor safety practices boys!

  • and that is Dean Hawlks .......

  • No matter what any one person says in the roofing industry. Soprema torch products are always a favorite. Every roofing product out there is awesome... But Soprema products are recommended by roofers worldwide.

I just put my video up to show you all how we roof here in the Vancouver BC area. It was not put up here to discredit anybody or companies worldwide. The torchers in this video do an awesome job. "No Bubbles.... No Troubles"

Remember that and keep on plying

    Good day

  • bleed lines are wanted to been in some cases, and if you do bleed out to much, that's what your bucket of granules are for

  • Also there's a bunch of dorks running soprema

  • Just thought i would let the world know soprema roofing treats it's employes like shit.I have no respect for them. There slave drivers that are only out for the profit don't deal with them.Plus the quality sucks because all they want to do is run there product fast as possible.

  • @hitkoke no shit man, this year their product was shit to work with, curved rolls, small rolls, label tape that pulls the poly off and makes cap sheet impossible to work with... hate to say it but im an iko man now.

  • I grew up torching and walking on the roll is the best way I think.

Alternating your foot on the roll (walking) instead of hopping the rear foot along is the technique. And you want to wear flat-soled, non steel toe work boots. No heel makes a big difference in scarring. Among other reasons, the cane is slow and labor intensive. Most people get the top roll too hot, so the cane allows them to do it without any scarring.

  • This young guy had only been torching for roughly 30 hours and his workmanship was impeccable. I can only applaud him for trying his best to fuse the 2 Soprema products together. The pull cane is very effective for torching just that you are not walking over the finished work which is easy to score or mark up when hot

  • i can do a lot better

  • I do not agree with you theonerayray. that is a poor bleed line!

  • Bleed line are usefull only to lazy roofing inspector who don't what to bend their ass to check the quality and soldering. jobs looks sloppy with a big wide bleed line.

Should have seen the guy from Soprema (Saying at first the job was not welded enough, blah blah blah!!!) checking my jobsite, tring to find a missed spot...

Never found one, than he asked to take pictures...lol To, and I quote of a proper and clean looking job...lmao

  • Just wait until you come across an inspector who does not want to see much, if any, of a bleed line.

By the way, it's great to see another roofing crew using a torching cane. Too many crews walk on the rolls while torching, leaving unsightly footprints and displacing the bitumen beneath their feet.

  • nice bleed line

  • good work guys

  • thats trippy. thats my crew.
