  • I appreciate the interpretation. But Patsy Cline's amazing voice did simply not sound like that. She sang it in Patsy's style. I think Country made it more flavorful and interesting than blues. Patsy also sang it very bluesy in many live performances. Her famous version is not representative of her versatility with that song alone.

  • I think you're absolutely right about Patsy and Sue having radically different voices. But the interesting thing about the song is that it was originally written in the jazz/blues genre for Kay Starr. Which probably explains why it adapts so easily to a straight-up blues treatment. Check out the Wikipedia page on the song title.

  • i am a huge fan of patsy, though this song isnt done in the style of blues as you have done it. you have done a greatttt job. its nice to see someone not afraid to try new of presenting a song. you have done this well
