wow,its amazing that a lot of non Pinoy loves this song. I remember 1 time i was in a guitar store here in Singapore checking out some stuff and suddenly I heard the Intro of this song being played on an acoustic guitar and i looked around to see who it was and i was surprised that it was some chinese guy and he looked at me and gave me a nod probably saying "hey im playing a pinoy song". I also remember when i was younger, i saw a japanese band play Anak on tv.by the way Im Filipino.

@wandagz Why not? Tagalog is not a particularly recognised language, certainly in the UK, despite many filipinos living abroad. Moreover, many people carry stereotype images of filipinos; and the same, unfortunately is sometime true about some filipinos who stereotype foreigners. So hopefully this can combat both stereotypes by showcasing some of the rich folk music of the Philippines; promoting awareness of tagalog; and pointing out to some filipinos that even 'Whiteys' can sing tagalog!
