A similar center existed in Umayyad Empire in Cordova, Spain from 750–1492 CE. Here scholars from all over the Mediterranean studied ancient texts from India and Greece, translated them into Arabic and discovered the basis for modern mathematics, medicine, astronomy and more.
Most of these scientists and polymaths openly despised Islam and its ignorant Imams. You will note also that NOT one of them practiced in Arabia. A similar center existed in Umayyad Empire in Cordova, Spain from 750–1492 CE. first of all thanks for your comment, By forgotten i mean they never had what they deserve, intentionally or not, almost everybody know Newton, Galilei, Kepler.. all this europeen scientist are from XVI and up, How this scientist came at this level? the written history describe the mid age by the dark ages, it wasn`t in the muslim world, no body study in regular classroom what this guys bring to the humanity.

docflyt, Who are you bullshiting with this bullshit of Muslim world. Arabs had nothing, no education, no knowledge barley had few people that could read & write. If not for Iranians, Greeks, Indians, Egyptians & Roman you would not have a pot to piss in, lets not forget Chinese. Arabs came out of the hell of Arabia intent on robbing, pillaging & raping.
