720E worst operator friendly machine on th market like riding in a washing machine with joy sticks and a half ass a/c that blows nowhere near the operator
Come now people. This video is about logging products. Most logging companies leave a site, to grow back, and that's how they recycle. No, it isn't a fast process but the trees are still growing back.
Here in Oregon the environmentalists are causing more harm to our forests than they are helping. They seem to like giant forest fires more than they like people using the trees as a renewable resource. Go figure.
Don't forget that it eats up co2 also. Thinning out older trees and allowing the younger trees to take their place is a great way to help keep co2 levels down. The enviro nuts don't like to here that, but its true anyhow.
you guys all say this while your sitting in your house made out of wood on your desk made of wood using electricity to power your computer on wooden poles...get the point dont bother saying anything if you live like the rest of us
@woodscritter Balance is important. Most environmentalists are unbalanced in their approach to the environment. They forget that people are a part of this world. Forget that if we cannot be good to each other then how are we to be good to the environment? The result of this unbalance is people suffer & die.
Besides this if you watch the video again you will see most of the trees are farmed trees saving natural old growth forests.
Dont you guys feel that you are taking away a part of our world that we live in? Im not baging out these amazing machines but dont you want you and your kids to live a healthy world
With out a "healthy world" I would not have a job building these machines. It would be nice if people always did the right thing because it was the right thing to do but baring that profit is & a long term view of things will have to do in stead.
it's looking brilliant when thinking engineer's way, but I just can't watch as those trees are... well how can I say that to be more expressive... hmmm... those trees are KILLED !
Let's hope there are new ones planted shortly after those are slaughtered.
IT pisses me off oh dont cut the trees save the forest well what the hell do you think your house is made of, paper even toothpaste. you use wood everyday no it or not
Cool. Did he hear about the improvements we are making on the 2000 shear felling head. We are hoping it will give us more work to do at Industrial Rd. plant. Had guys come over to my boring mill to check the new part I was machining for the shear.
If logging is controlled it take 10-12 to be able to cut the same patch of land that If you cut 10-12 inches up the first time. But these are pecker poles or pine pole plantations. Some place plant 50-100 acres at a time and clear cut when ready. I loved logging not the logging that guts or clear cut 100 acres a day.
i think the trees here in the video take like 10 years to grow to harvest but i could be wrong i dont know the name of them but they grow pretty fast it takes a long leaf pine 30 years to grow to good harvest size
The second line says it all. Machines like these are not designed to "destroy forests" more effectively, but to reduce the cost of the industry. Perhaps this would be because more money is being spent on sustainable development? If you look closely, the forests here are fast growing soft woods specifically grown and looked after for the construction trades.
Yeah, I know what you mean, it is kinda sad, but then without this kind of power we'd still be in the middle ages. Oh, and I've never used one of these, but I've seen similar in action and it is immensely cool ;).
thousands of years to make forest grow and few days to destroy them.. .. I hope these companies invests some of the income seedeing new trees
songyfromthemountain 1 week ago
@songyfromthemountain If you look closely you will see a lot of trees growing in strait rows They were planted that way.
None of these trees being cut down are even a thousand years old. Trees this old would be to large to be cut down by these machines.
Trees are replanted. It is call job security.

@beerdeddi1 Don't be afraid just be cautious. When you see these machines in person always keep back at least 500 ft./200 meters.

Ya it is amazing how many brain washed greenies find my videos.
Did you ever read this one before:
The traffic light tendency.
Environmentalists like to call themselves green because they are too yellow to admit they are red.
steam0001 2 years ago
@steam0001 I'll bet you know that nothing's that black-and-white, all-or-nothing.
So long as you cast it that way you're gonna see enemies rather than potential friends.
Forests are valuable for much more than fiber production- clean air & water production, wildlife habitat, recreation. Balance is important.

it's a shame what we do to the earth.
reebokj18 2 years ago
It is a greater shame what we do to each other.
Would you deny the machine operator, lumber mill/paper mill employee, machine builder, tree planter, etc. their lively hood?
Would you deny people a reasonably priced home to live in? Paper to write on? Toilet paper?
Look the trees are either thinned & allowed to grow back or are replanted. We do want to keep working you know. We need trees to do that.
If you are so worried about trees get your government to replant them on gov. land around Mt.

Cool. You must be very proud of him.
Ask him to sell lots of machines. Particularly TH575 CTL harvesting attachments. I need some work to do on my boring mill.
I will send you a link to a video of the newest Tigercat machine. It is posted on the Tigercat channel Tigercat Forestry.

Of course its not designed to destroy the forest, but anyway its sad to see that one man can harvest a tree in seconds.
BUT: I want to work with this thing for an hour! :)
