li jie is technically perfect guitarist. But I really miss more feeling in her playing.
If you wnat to see somebody play with a lot of emotions check out "Villa Lobos choro N° 1" played by alvaro pierri. Or as good as every classical piece played by Julien Bream(which is technically not really the best guitarist but he has so much feeling for the music, and he plays a real "Hauser" guitar this luthier started making guitars in my hometown ;-)
If you did nt have love and passion for the music you could never never actually get this good. You would nt care and give up. This girl has passion but has it under control but play s superbly. Wish I had an ounce of her special gift.
And also, I just wanted to let you know that this is the video that my teacher shows his students that are learning this, if that is any inspiration to you!
El fraseo de esta composición de Mangoré es particularmente complejo. Jie Li lo domina de una forma extraordinaria. Su técnica es la envidia de todo guitarrista.
Great performance, everyone feels music differently.... but in the end... we all search for the author. In this case, the pupil brought the author ("Mangore") back to life, what a great "maestro" he was.
Close your eyes, listen to the music and tell me if Lie Jie has no feeling playing this music? She was 14, probably a little shy, and asian people usually don't show their emotions on their faces.
It's ironic that many people will condemn a person as unfeeling if they don't have some physical manifestation of it, yet also condemn others as insincere if they do physically show emotion.
Why do people keep accusing the beautiful, talented Li Jie of having no soul, or feeling? I don't get it. She makes me cry every time. This girl is perfect.
@CGAhmeni because they are retarded MOTHER FUCKERS!!! That's why!! Because they are fucking jealous like HELL!!! Because deep inside of them...they know that they will NEVER reach that kind of performance and that they will ALWAYS be just...mediocre!!!!FUCK THEM ALL!!!! retarded shitheads!!!
WAY TO GO LI JIE!!! WE LOVE YOU GIRL...magical strings and hands baby...keep up the good work!!!
@CGAhmeni I will say because they envy her and maybe because she is chinese. They don't want to believe that someone from the communist country could ALSO have the "freedom" and "human right" to play some nice music.
you dont even make any sense its classical music not hardcore screamo just because she has a solemn look on her face doesnt mean she doesnt feel the music if she didnt love clasical music do you really think that she would have spent that much time practicing it til it was perfect
You just say whoever else said. This is one of the best interpretations. You need to listen with your heart, not other people's opinion or popular trend. You are just a sheep without your own heart and soul - rather sad but it is typical and expected.
this is the best interpretation besides john williams i've heard on barrios...as for julian bream no good..he played too much on the bridge.yuk!alot of asian players might look bored, but they take the music very serious..i'm not looking for form or tradition or if your sitting right or if your foot is in the right position fuck that!its about the music your playing!!!
haha, very true, very very true. People see guitarist like her and think that they'll never be able to play like that. well, its just a matter of determination, practice, and above all, real interest. And some people will practice like mad-men and dont get better, why? well, are you they tying to? Practice is goal-directed.Tying to achive a new level. Playing is just doodling.
did anybody she her make a single mistake? is she a god? or a robot? how can u humanly not make a single mistake in a extremely difficult piece like this? even yngwie malmsteen, jason becker, and others make mistake while shredding..and i believe this is even harder to do then shredding
I am a legit student of Andres Segovia and I can tell you that classical playing does not get much better then this. I am sure she has a bright future in music.
