  • Me gusto !!

  • dughhhhh Mariahhh obviously

  • whats the minnie song @ 8:09

  • what's the song where Mariah did the B6?

  • I just feel like Mariah's are just more attractive. LOL

  • I Can name You Adam López he Can sing an Eb8!! In opera style!!

  • i wouldn't be surprised if minnie was mariah's mom voices sound so similar

  • Can we please stop mentioning the likes of popes and brown? They make whistles look like a finicky because their voices outside of that range are dreadful.

  • Both are Amazing to me. <3

  • Also.. please.. if you have never heard mariah sing a song in her deep chest register which even surpasses Toni Braxton Deep voice.. please check out "You and I" a tribute to Stevie Wonder.. the whole performance proves that she is a truly individual, unsurpassed talent 1 in a Trillion...go MIMI!!!

  • Mariah has so much more control of her whistle register.. so I go with MIMI!!

  • Minnie Riperton by far! Need I explain? No.

  • For me it's Minnie, her whistles just sound more natural to me. But Mariah is also really good and a bit more creative, and she can make them soft or strong.

  • which song of Mariah at 3:58 (Eb6)

  • Low notes/Chest notes: Mariah Carey

Head/Whistles: Minnie Riperton any day of the week.

  • both of them are like angels

  • some of ya'll take this too serious if someone like the other than respect it and keep it moving it's just an a opinion calm down lol, anywho both havesomething the other has just like most singers I prefer Minnie voice though

  • Can someone tell me the name of the Mariah song at 2:17?? Please?!

  • @xmen4ever8290 o holy night

  • @RaciouS91 Thank you!

  • @xmen4ever8290 O Holy Night

  • minnie's high notes sounds like a cat screaming, Mariah's voice is more melodic and beautiful.

  • Yes but Adam Lopez has no proof of the highest note he's hit! Mariahs highest note hit ever is a G#7!

  • MARIAH IS A BEAST, though she learned from minnie, its not impossible to surpass your teacher :) ALL HAIL MARIAH

  • Mariah sings and plays with her whistles, Minnie just hits them very well. Mariah's whistles have its own creative intricate melodies with it.

  • I'm going to back up my argument and say that someone has gone higher than both... and he's a man: Adam Lopez. Look up his vocal range.

I mean, of course Minnie is the queen, but just putting it out there when the video said "Who do you know can sing like that?"

  • @alcoholharmony first i would like to say u have a amazing voice.

secondly minnie is the queen no doubt and i must say adam really can get up there.

ummmm but i want you to hear von smith sing "walk away" the song dont do him any justice but he really can sing i really think he was just showing off his range but he's another male who sing up there listening to it through without cutting it off lol u will hear...........

  • @Urz4lyfe85 I shall give that a listen:)

    And thank you.

  • @alcoholharmony UMM adam has never gone higher than either one of them, mariah has done C9....no man has ever touched that

  • @TheDonovansofficial when has she done a c9???????????????

  • the note at 8:04 is a C7 not a C#7

  • mariah's my favorite artist and she's one of the best singers but i think minnie riperton's whistle register is the best because it has a more pleasant sound. mariah's a very close second though

  • what is the name of the song of mariahs first C5

  • Mariah Carey has a diferrent type of voice, she has a warm voice that u don;t find everyday in singers, Minnie Ripertion is like a teenager singing. Mariah Carey melisma is superior in my opinion and unique. And also, before Minnie many opera singers were able to hit those notes in opera singing, it is NOT something new that only Minnie fist did or recorded. And mariah 's mother is an opera singer, so Minnie inspired Mariah to the singing style, not the actual whistle!

  • What is the song in the 4:00 minute?!! Is from Mariah Carey but what is it? Please!

  • @ivennein all i want for christmas is you remix

  • And What is the name of the song in the 4:00 minute? Please!!!

  • Yes i can name other person Who can do That and higher Georgia Brown from G1 to G10!! And a man named Adam Lopez from G2 to E8!!! But I love Mariah Carey all the way!!

  • i like Minnie's whistle register over Mariah's but her songs dont do much for me. I have to give it to Mariah.

  • @mztiff84 Maybe if you knew the lyrics AND were mature enough to appreciate them, maybe then they would do much for you.

  • I love both of them heaps. But Mariah seems to have more melody with her whistle, while Minnie just kinda yells it out. Both fantastic though. Both have awesome style.

  • I prefer Minnie Riperton.... But, I love Mariah she does her thang.

  • i would vote for Minnie on Whistles ans MAriah on Chest

MAriah chest (on the old days) was stunning.

But MAriah whistles are so weak. above G6/B6..during her duet with patti labelle ..we couldn't hear her

  • love the whistle choice for Mariah

  • I prefer Mariah, but I got to respect Minnie for introducing the whistle register.

  • I really do like this video, because both Minnie Riperton, and Mariah Carey had, or have, great voices. Especially when they each used their upper range/whistle register, which sounds absolutely beautiful, in my opinion.

  • It's interesting the number of posts who have said that they find Mariah's use of the whistle register more 'natural' while Minnie showboats or used the whistle as a gimmick. I feel that it's the reverse actually, partly because Minnie is a much more subtle, nuanced singer and her phrasing is more creative than Mariah's to me.

Part of why Mariah has problems with her voice now is *because* she over-aerates her whistles while Minnie has the sweeter, truer tone.

  • good work- thanks for the video

  • The last few seconds of the u tube post tells the tale is all i am sayin, no offense but if you cannot hear this then u in need of an audiogram.

  • Minnie May Have Been The First. BUT Mariah BRANDED IT !!!!!!!! Minnie F7s Sounded Like A Hot Mess. Sorry. RIP. Oh Yea And Mariah Can Higher Than The Heaven Above??? Wheres Here G7/G#7 Oh Minnie Never Hit That My Bad.

  • what was some of yall listening too. Minnie f#7 Not only was higher it was definitely stronger.. Mariah sounded like she was running out of air. Just clean out your ears. she may have even went up an octave over mariah..

  • @wrotedog UM 0_0 WHO R U ? IM GONNA HANDLE U QUICKLY I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO DO FRST OFF.... MARIAH CAN HIT HIGHER NOTES THAN A f#7. SECOND MARIAHS WHISTLE ARE AIRY YET SHE CA N USE IT MELODICALLY. OPPOSE YO MINNIE SOUNDING LIKE A MISSLE. RIP MINNIE. THIRD YOU NEED TO GET YOUR EARS CHECKED BECUZ ALL I HEARD WAS MINNIE GO UP TO A f#7. OH YEA ABOUT THAT "she may have even went up an octave over mariah.. " IN UR DREAMS MARIAHS CAN HIT A C8. THERES PROOF TYPE IN "MARIAH MATCHES PIANO AT CONCERT"

  • Minnie just because these don't show her whistles at their best live. I've never really felt like mariah could do them right on the spot she has to work her way up the scale minne could just do them . Overall voice i'd say mariah but headnote and above minnie wins any day of the week. See her old live performances her whistle's are clear as a bell mariah's not so much

  • @LeAnthony87 Mariah does not work her way up the scale; that's Christina Aguilera.

  • @trentnjones I saw your video on your channel and I agree

  • which is teh song in 7:00?

  • @Paburo14 I Understand with Randy Jackson & others.

  • @trentnjones thankss!! :)

  • i'm sorry but with just chest voice, mariah obliterates minnie. you really can't compare anyone to mariah. it's either someone with higher belts than mariah but without whistles or whistle like mariah but horrible low notes. this proves mariah is one in a million!

  • Mariah herself said that she listened to Minnie therefore the influence was from her. Mariah took whistling to the next level by incorporating it so beautifully in her songs and perfectly, the description for this video is perfect. I personally am in love with Mariah's voice but I have to bow down and respect Minnie as without Minnie there would have been no Mariah. What I love about Mariah is that she made her own style and not copied Minnie. True artist!

  • actually mariah sang a Gsharp7, than means higher than minnie

  • Well Georgia Brown whistle is higher than both of them but minnie and mariah can control the whistle better

  • wow minnie's E6 note was incredible

  • which is the song t minute 1:19 of MC?

  • @yuridiafan2 Jesus O What A Wonderful Child from her Merry Christmas album.

  • Mariah does it much more melodically. It seems as if Minnie's whistle seems like some talent showcase at the time..Mariah does it naturally..whenever she feels the need to. Minnie did it, as if it was coordinated during the writing/arrangement of the song.

  • Minnie is so pure. She sounds like nature. that A5 of hers is something from heaven

  • I really like and respect Mariah Carey, but I prefer Minnie's Voice and Whistler register, because it's just perfect, pulid and more natural than Mariah's, and Minnie could sustain her whistler for a longer time, 24 seconds in Adventures in Paradise, or the beautiful bird song in Reasons.

I love Mariah's whistler, but i think it souds like an extended head voice, while Minnie's whistler sounds like a truly whistle.

I love you Minnie, Love Lives Forever

  • @soulandmore I agreew with all you said BUT those reasons are why i prefer Mariah, i love the softer airier whistles. I always prefer mariash chest voice from lower to the top belts. Not that Minnie isnt one a.m.a.z.i.n.g vocalist also, i just prefer mariahs tone/power in her belts. But i do prefer minnies head voice, her vibrato is very prominant but i love it, and the tone to her head voice is nicer than her sharper whistles imo.

  • @Dam112 yeah, I'm inpressed with how mariah achieved to keep her whistler despited her downed voice (that's because of the nodule that she suffered in 1997 because of the overuse of her voice)it continue been amazing.

I'm very sad because of the death of Minnie, she died before I was born :(

Those divas are the best whistlers, the agressive vibrated Mariah's whistle and cristal-clear Minnie's whsitler, different but both amazing!! :D

  • Wow, I got chills just listening to those notes! I love both women. You forgot one more person-DENIECE WILLIAMS. She used to sing with Minnie back in the day. Remember her songs "Silly", "Let's Hear it For the Boy," , "It's Gonna take a Miracle," and "Black Butterfly"? I enjoy listening to all these lovely and talented ladies.

  • @Prettytoes29 Oh and don't know if someone already mentioned Shanice Wilson.

  • the way minnie sings the very high notes is crazy!!! No singer can do that. But I personally like both, Mariah and Minnie, the queens of the whistle register.

  • MARIAH CAREY E SEMPRE A MELHOR NAUM DIANTA!!!A GEORGIA PODE TER TIRADO ELA DO GUINES MAIS AS MUSIKSA MAIS LINDAS SAO DA MiMi MC FOREVER ^^

  • what the name of the song at 2:39 of mariah carey?

  • @deon424702 Never Forget You from the Music Box album of 1993.

  • @deon424702 Never Forget You

  • @deon424702 i been found it out but thanks =)

  • minnie rriperton WIN I LOVE MY QUEN MINNIE RIPERTON TE AMO

  • I think it's all Mariah with the instrumental backing of the other "lady" I refuse to believe!!!!!

  • what song was that at 7:10?

  • @tyee2005 "I Understand" - Performed by Bebe Winans, Kim Burrell, Rance Allen, Mariah Carey and Hezekiah Walker & The Love Fellowship Tabernacle Church Choir.

  • I prefer Mariah's voice by miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiillles. Minnie is a good singer. But nothing amazing bout her voice except for the rare whistles. Certainly not better than the greats like Mariah/Whitney/Celine and some of their peers who are the powerhouse vocalists. Imo Minnie is nowhere near their league.

  • Minnie Lost control at that damn EB 7 it sounded a horrible mess.. but i love her R.I.P. , by the way I am a guy that can reach the G6.. and I am happy and feel blessed for having that range.. if only I could do it and be acceptable in the music industry and abroad

  • Can both Minnie and Mariah fans at least admit that both are God Given talents who were blessed enough to share the vocal talents he gave to them both? Both are different yet the same in that they evoke attention to their voices and makes you want to hear them... I am a fan of both..

  • 6:58 ????? what song ??????

  • When Minnie Riperton hit her F5, it is more than obvious who Whitney Houston and others tried to imitate belted notes from E5-G5...

  • i think they are just the same person with that kind of talent and ability... they may have difference its just because they are two different persons ...they are both talented and for my self i admire them so much.....

  • adam lopez can hactually git higher notes than either minnie or mariah... and has more range than mariah. wheres as she is credited with five, he has 6

  • @fthfllyg im pretty sure mariah can go higher than her highest note she has recorded..so her actual range is not known..

  • We don't remember that Minnie is Mariah's most important influence. I don't like Mariah, because I prefer other voices like C. Aguilera, W. Houston, C. Dion or M. Caballé. However, Carey shows that she's got a very nice voice. Her low register and whistle register are amazing, although I think Minnie's head voice is better (it`s my opinion).

Respect to Carey's chest voice, I'd say that Aguilera or Dion are so much better belters.

Kisses and don't take offence at my Innuendo, darlings! ;D

  • @bumb9 haha(: i love mariah and i love the way you addmitted you didn't like her by not attacking her but yet to sample out what she has to offer ! you are a very good hearted person unlike Kumtekmeon ! so i thank you !

  • hahaha! You're welcome, babe :) Well, I've got Mariah's album "Charmbracelet" and I love some songs, but... well, you know my opinion :)

    Kisses (L) ;)

  • its over 30 years mister if you do the math its 35 years ago.

  • Yes Mariah can emote emotion and sing lyrics in whistle which takes her to a place Minnie never went.. I don't doubt that Minnie could have done the same thing.. but Mariah hands down in whistle is so much melodic and pleasant to the ear.. go girls both of you are and will always go down in history as blessing to the musical world.. I am glad you both were discovered.,,

  • WTF?????

  • they are both amazing. no one else can do what they have done. and it seems as though they can go much higher. those

F#7 just came so effortlessly to them.

  • That minnie E6 was beautiful, but overall I prefer Mariah's whistle because of the way she uses it .. she is more melodic.

  • @Concosis Sorry to disagree, Minnie uses her whistles in a melodic way and controls them. Her whistles are clear and has no fuzziness to it. She can hit the whistle register on a drop of a dime. Just saying. Also she can do runs and hold them for very extended times. <3

  • @darrian202 That's perfectly fine. I have nothing against Minnie , and after all she definitely paved the way for the use of the whistle register . Perhaps she is "better" at it. I just have always been drawn to the ways that Mariah incorporates her range, esp her whistle. I feel like she layers and layers her song with beautiful melodies from start to finish. But, respect to all the singers presented in this video and to all the fans of these amazing artists.

  • @darrian202 from the way that yoy responded i can tell that you are a respectful person. We both have diff styles so lets jus agree to disagree> LOL

  • @Concosis try to listen BLISS by Mariah.. So amazing

  • @RaciouS91 Nicole Sedda has done a A9!

    watch?v=-p3cANGi06Y

  • i can do whistle, good whistle is for clear condition voice even if its flat,

  • who cares about hitting a note. babies can hit "a note." youre a bad b when you can SING in that high range. minnie displays it effortlessly, while that other heffa just hits notes and sings a line. you can have 100 octaves but what counts is what you do with it. minnie clearly is the best.

  • Mariah sings bitch. I respect Minnie, but don't sit there and disrespect Mariah, and say she can't sing, just because you prefer Minnie Riperton!

  • You don't know your shit brotha. MARIAH'S the one who can SING WORDS in whistle register. Minnie, with all due respect, cannot. Doesn't take away from her immense talent, though. She inspired Mariah.

  • Mariah Win's

    Her Note's Sound Nicer !!

  • Minnie's whistle is done effortlessly.

just as easily as she speaks she can hit do whistle tone.

  • Love this Minnie is the best love her raw power and yeah Mariah has more control in her whistle register then Minnie but they are both absolutely amazing

  • Comment removed

  • The runs that Minne does in whistle register at 3:48 is crazy!

  • I love both of these women!!!

I think Mimi's control is a little better though..

And I do love the Opera Music in the background.

  • fucking georgia brown always she always use her scream register..... :(

  • Comment removed

  • Mariah also hitted a C8 at her charmbrecelet tour in 2003. ;)

  • @SeveralMimi what song was it ???

  • I don't know.. sorry =/

  • @SeveralMimi are you making up lie's ??? did she really or are you thinkning of a C7 ???

  • Well, is this about that Mariah hitted a C8 during Charmbrecelet?

Anyway, she did that at the opening of the tour. I don't know which song it was..

  • I wouldn't say Mariah has "nothing" on Minnie....I give both the respect they deserve because they are both great. Mariah is one of the best voices of her generation and there is no denying that!!

  • Whitney wins this one..lol lol lol...

  • Well for your information

you are right but mariah made it famouse

    minnie did start it though

but if you go on the street and you say who's the woman that started the high notes most of them say is it mariah carey ???

see what i mean by that

  • Well, it depends on what people you ask, you know. Many people discovered high notes listening to Minnie's Lovin' You. Of course, if you ask people who are less than 30-40, the answer would be Mariah!

  • yeah

everyone in my family and at school dont even know who minnie riperton is not even my nana and grandfather lol

    and the old teachers

  • Ok Anderii be respectful to Minnie because if it wasn't for her Mariah wouldn't be singing like a damn dog whistle in the first place.

  • Mariah Carey Wins

    She was More controll

    and Minnie Riperton

    is Shaking her notes !!!

    it sounds yuk

  • Mariah does not come close to her she is the one who started it all and gorgia from brazil can sing higher then both of them

  • Mariah has nothing on her she the one who started it for Mariah. Gorgia could go higher then both of the look it up

  • Mariah won

  • does someone knows where to find the emotions version when mariah hits the Eb7?

    whats the song at 5:53??

  • Emotions 12'' Club Mix (The Remixes album of 2003) and @ 5:53 it's the Dreamlover Def Club Mix (also from The remixes).

  • thank you!

    i meant the eb7 @ 8:38

  • O! Sorry, that is from Emotions live during the Music Box Tour in Massachusetts (1993). I've gotten so accustomed to using the Eb7 from her studio tracks that I forgot I found that one lol!

  • thats fine... thank you!

  • Alot of ignorant ppl think that drugs damaged Whitney's voice, but it was more-so improper technique then drugs. Whitney never really took formal lessons. What u heard from Whitney early in her career, was ALL Whitney, ultimately all of her improper techniques (though brilliant voice), finally took its course. But now her voice is getting better with each prfrmnce.

  • Yes, improper technique was a part of her decline, but it was DEFINITELY mostly due to drugs. The woman was using drugs before The Bodyguard.

  • And why are we talking about Whitney anyway? This is about Minnie and Mariah.

  • Lambs want to sit here and denounce Shanice and Minnie, because they are or weren't mainstream BB artists, but fail to realize these women were perfecting their craft before auto-tune, far before MC jumped on board. Shanice and Minnie are trained vocalists, who use proper technique to maximize their craft, MC is a good singer, she aint great.

  • oh please stop it. The women I named are more then just power and range, I picked them because of their vocal acrobatics, runs, texture, chest, etc. My point is, next to them, MC doesnt even hold a candle in any aspect of vocal ability other then the less-effortless whistle. MC is not much of a singer throughout an ENTIRE song, her money note only lyes within the whistle...and dats it.

  • Lmao at these dullisioal Lambs. You stans are pathetic, and the most blind-sided fans. Truth of the matter is, outside of studio enhancements, MC's voice is nothing. MC has lost the little strength in her voice that she had, early in her career. This didnt just happen overnight. In any duet MC has done, she has been outsung.

  • The Beautiful Ones ft. Dru Hill from the Butterfly album (1997)

  • Aretha, Chaka, Patti, Debroah Cox, Whitney, Phylis Hyman, Shirley Murdock, Regina Belle, Shanice, Kelly Price, Yolanda Adams, and even Tina Marie. Well that is 11. They all may not sing whistle notes, but put MC on the stage with any of them and see who is the better singer.

  • Yes these women may be loud but the volume of singing doesnt make someone a better singer. The Most important thing is how you sound and none these women will ever be able to sound as beautiful as mariah.

  • I am not a stan of anyone. And if any STANS are dellusionial, judgemental, and just plain out rude and ignorant, is MC stans. They try to scrutinize and belittle any diva who isnt Mariah. Truth be told, i can name you ten singers who would put MC to shame.

  • MC cannot sing melodies in a whistle register. That is a lie. Maybe that is the term I should have used instead of WORDS. MC whistles are rugged, out of melody, and not perfected. Listen to Minnie whistle, and then MC, and then tell me who's sound more relaxed-approached? Minnie.

  • Read your comment carefully. Do you even know what a melody is? Go listen to Angel, Bliss or God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and then come back as tell me that Mariah does not know how to sing on key. Mariah has perfect pitch, just like Minnie Riperton. you whitney Houston stans are crazy. You know nothing about Minnie and you come hear only to throw shade on MC. You are disrespecting both of these icons just to further you pathetic vendetta.

  • Don't even waste your time with that weirdo. I don't understand how people can harbor such jealousy.

  • i agree with you i advise you to delete all these ignorant comments about Mariah.

  • your fucking 31 years old stop arguing with children you sick bastard.

  • Children? With such foul language, I would be ashamed. Also children must listen to their elders. So if you're under 18 you are expected to take sound reasoning which is what toochie is giving. Mariah can't sing, ACCEPT THAT! The only thing she does is whistle and that's just a technique in singing. All the singers named are BETTER than Mariah anyday and can outsing her anytime. Look at her pathetic performances on Oprah and GMA ets, so sad. And not everyone likes that UNHEALTHY breathy tone!

  • Mariah did not perform on GMA; that was Whitney Houston.

  • Sorry, I meant The Today Show.

  • To prove that MC was not singing a REAL whistle register in proper technique, is the state of her current voice TODAY. MC outside her whistle, voice was not that technical or pwrful to cause the severe damage she possesses TODAY. Which leads me to believe, that her whistles of the past, were not PROPERLY PERFECTED WHISTLES. Outside MC whistles, her voice is pretty weak.

  • Quick note: Mariah's vocal issues stem from nodules; a condition that has plagued her since her youth. Her whistle technique did not damage her voice. When the super head extension is improperly accessed, it ages and strains the vocal chords, causing them to lose flexibility and become fragile. The first part of the voice to go as a result would be the extensions, of which the whistle is a part. Hence, she won't be able to whistle as well as she can now if that was the case.

  • Let me get smthng straight lambs. Minnie was far more versatile and talented in her whitsle reg then MC, for the simple fact that Minnie could actually sing WORDS in a whitsle register. MC CANNOT DO THAT! MC whistle is not even a whitsle, to get technical, it is more like a high pitch scream. MC whitsle isn't smooth and as effortless as Minnie.

  • I'm not taking 'sides' but quick note: MC has enunciated (formed words) in the whistle register in many songs. Bliss and Vision of Love (live on Pepsi Smash) are a couple good example.

  • despues de fallecer reencarno en Mariah Carey......:O

    son Fantasticas las 2

    Las Adoro!!!!!!!!!!.....

  • im sorry to dissapoint you but GEORGIA BROWN can blown away this two :(

  • Lower Register: Mariah

    Chest Voice: Mariah

    Head Voice: Minnie/Mariah

    Super Head/Whistle: Minnie/Mariah

  • I prefer mariah because the texture and tone of her voice is so smooth and versatile she can do powerful soft high and low whistles and she know how to make them blend perfectly with the music. Ive heard many people emulate minnie riperton correctly but know can properly try to emulate mariah because her sound is so rare and unique. Thats Just My Opinion. My Favorite Whistlers

    1. Mariah Carey

    2. Chante Moore

    3. Minnie Riperton

  • Comment removed

  • Minnie is great in all 3! Songs like 'Inside My Love' 'Expecting' 'Completeness' etc show how soft Minnie can go without sounding breathy. I am yet to hear anyone emulating Minnie correctly. Chante often tries and still come off lacking, sounding as breathy as MC. However, I've come across amateurs sounding like MC so you need to broaden your search. Minnie sounds like an instrument or a bird at times, while MC sounds like a whistle used in sports only that she blends it with that breathy sound.

  • That's because they are two completely different vocal types.

  • listen people like the breathy noise its rare and makes the whistle more smooth and less annoying and less like a scream.

  • When Minnie whistles softly, her whistles are still clear and crisp, not breathy and annoying. Shanice can outsing and outwhistle MC any day. She's the only one who truly walks in Minnie path. WHY? Because her whistle aren't damaging like MC!!!

  • Low register: Mariah, she's a contralto

Belting register: Mariah. Minnie's voice is lighter than Mariah's and therefore, less full. She has power though.

Head voice: Minnie. She's a natural soprano and I love her tone in that register.

Whistle register: Mariah. I like her tone and the way she uses her whistles better.

  • Minnie's whistle is good as well. I'm tired of these Mariah stans. In the last part of the whistles, Minnie was doing a live version of the Rotary Connection's song, "Ruby Tuesday". That's why she did it like that. She did the whistle in a psychedelic, wild kind of way. That doesn't mean that her tone is not good. You're just used to Mariah, but if it wasn't for Minnie Riperton, Mariah wouldn't be doing the whistle. Minnie is the original whistle queen, NOT MARIAH!
