@jarden69 i cant speak for all of thailand, but ive spent a fair bit of time in phuket. (are called rawai) I went there for hollidays and muay thai training for a few months on my travels. I have to say those months in phuket were the best of my life. it is a beautifull and amazing place. it isn't so overrun with tourism and westeners like bangkok, and a lot of the girls i met never asked me once for money. however, most of the girls are freshly from rural areas and uneducated..

Go diving, drinking, hiking, visit bars, museum, volunteer jn communities. Run on the beach. Meet women (working or not) and enjoy their company, don't be too serious especially after a divorce. I am working in Taiwan now where I can get the cheapest flights to Bangkok for as low as US$330 return. Flight duration: 3 hrs & 30 mins. I have a girlfriend in Thailand.
