I LOVE THIS VIDEO! I mean I have severe ADHD/ADD but the doctor's said it is right on the line of the Autism spectrum. So I can relate to all that. But I think it makes me better.

I love this. I went to high school with a boy in my class with autism. He was one of the most well loved people within my year level, but unfortunately, the kids from other year levels didn't understand him and mocked him. But every time we saw that happen, we stood in and helped. It broke my heart every time, but the rest of us loved him. He ended up designing the cover for the year book for our graduating year, so whenever I pick it up, he's the first thing I remember, and I love that.

Got a late diagnosis aged 16. When being diagnosed, people asked me "How was I not diagnosed sooner?". This makes me lol. ;-)

Yes, I have autism. Yes, in some areas of my life it makes things more difficult. However, it also gives me so many things, so many strengths. I'm grateful for today, for raising awareness. It needs to be done. ^_^

Anyway yeah, when we thought about diagnsing him we were at a party and everyone was dressed up as soldiers and at one point there were sounds of bombs and gunfire and he ran out the room crying his eyes out he couldn't stand the noises... Also, he can't wear normal shoes because the feel of them to him are weird...
