  • @glavga,,You r right - about yourself..If you think Perelman cannot be Jewish, since he turned down 1 million $ - You are real nazi..

As you see I didn’t call you ‘pig’,- Calling you pig would be very offensive to the pigs, because they are very intelligent animals

  • AntiZionist hypocrisy knows no end. Jews become ‘’Russians’’ when there is praise...

But Trotsky, Lenin,,Stalin (who was 100% Christian Georgian) etc suddenly become ‘’jews’’ when it suits antizionist-bigots..

Hitler was a German monster, like it or not – both of his parents were GERMAN CHRISTIANS..

If Perelman is Russian at heart like AntiZionist bigots claim, HE WOULD HAVE TAKEN THE MONEY!.

  • Perelman is 100% JEWISH,,like it or not.In Russia being jewish is not religion, but ethnicity…Himself says it very clear,,His name is 100% Jewish,,His face is typical semitic,,Both of his parents are Jewish..

Even every antisemite in Russia know that..

Screaming, whining and stomping on the floor won’t change this fact

  • @Antifacio ,,Antisemite's hypocrisy knows no end ,,.If Perelman is ‘Russian’ then even Trotsky and Kaganowitz are Russians, because even they were born and raised in Russia – so it makes them Russians as well...

Rotschild’s family lived in Germany since 1773 year, so yeah that makes him German..

Antizionist-bigots can't deal with the Truth – the truth hurts them

  • Great quality..

  • I wl slv d remaining six

  • I guess he doesn't have facebook?

  • @gigel2006 most of ppl which lives in Russia doesnt have a facebook) bcause as Zadornov says nobody can digitize us! and sorry for my english) im just learnig it)

  • it's a waste that he lives alone with his mother. he should be made to breed as much as possible. then we will have lots of mathematical geniuses.

  • He gave his reason to refuse the prize in a interview few days ago (check Google). Here's a quote:"Emptiness is everywhere and it can be calculated, which gives us a great opportunity ... I know how to control the universe. So tell me, why should I run for a million?""

As I said one year ago - read JL Borges ""The God's Script" - the end is a total giveaway for what's happened to Perelman

  • This man has found the thru purity. Hes the gouvernator of the univers. Respect from Romania

  • Feliz cumpleaños. gregori

  • finally there is someone to look up to as a role model..... most people are so greedy they spent there lifetime running after & saving money for their funeral

  • should have given me the money

  • @chunjacat Hell, he is a Russian. He is Jewish. Russian racists constantly are black mouthing Jewish people.

  • @chunjacat , he's not Russian ! He's a Jew born in Russia.

Its sorta Hypocrisy- when something shameful, always mentioning that he's a Jew, as for example Lenin (who was 99% Russian Kalmyk and only 1% jew)..or Trotsky or Kaganovitz etc

But when something great and wonderful ppl deny person's Jewish heritage , then he called ''Russian'..

OK, if Perelman is 'Russian' than please can you even call Lenin,Trotsky,Kaganovitz,Yagoda Russians .

    Please, Stop the hypocrisy

  • @jevrej1977 ,,JEWS became ''Russians' WHEN IT BENEFITS BIGOTS

  • I liked the way the hindus did it where it all went to your lord.

  • and I'm still trying my appeal, call me vain. I took a stab at the chance, man..

  • I wish i was smart. i want to leave the world too and endlessly study God, the everything.

  • Yeah, self-promotion is pointless. I do it because i'm trying to survive. No matter how much I stay to myself, the cameras spy, so I talk back to them. The orginial reason I had a blog was because of my ex; he said I needed to socialize. I was much happier in my delusions.

  • Math comunity: I will give you 1 million dollar!

Perelman: Why i need that i had enogh paper for work at home ?

  • There is no such thing as a geniuses, and there is definitely no such thing as a failure....

  • Once the world stop labeling people as geniuses for going above the standard the more Grigoris we could have. This world is field with distractions and mental influences which has caused people to stray far from reaching that "label" of genius. Your confidence is defined by material things, [ standards set by others], and a way you are suppose to live your life.. [We have many who attend prestige schools but We have know order in the world]... So whats that telling you!!!

  • @eddiesnumber1 amen, and they'll attack me to compare. They assume that it should be merit, IQ, but they haven't had a real IQ test and I believe their worlds would come crashing down if ever they knew. Why make people unhappy? Once people accept that they die, they start living for more than one.

  • this world needs more Grigoris Perelmans and less justins biebers

  • Man! That must sound the same when I record off TV with my cell phone :-O

  • A true mathematician and NOT a conformist. All my respect.

  • This is like one of those once in a lifetime people. Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein kind of guys who will be remembered may be forever. Pythagoras, Euclid, Euler those people who have carved their names in annals of human history. We are really really fortunate to witness this man in our living time...

  • Not as bright as you think for not collecting the prize? Fucking assholes could be more respectful, no wonder he does not like the fucking media-__-

  • @gvsfgdf u r not polite or respectful urself, so please be wee bit considerate , no gd idea to judge people! it is even not easy know oneself. peace!

  • nice video terrible terrible quality.... :/

  • Happy Birthday Grigori!

  • Hmm maybe he likes shrooms.

  • Terrence Tao is overrated. This man stands next to Andrew Wiles as the greatest mathematician alive. I don't care how many papers he's published. The Poincare Conjecture is a once-in-century achievement.

  • he is great!!!

  • he is great!!!

The main thing is music of your heart

  • SINGH!!!!

however, getting back to the point.

    Perelman = GENIUS!

  • everybody hail my nigga perelman, a Mathematical O.G. straight gangsta!

  • What is different about the majority of people posting their comments here (including me) and Perelman? Perelman will be remembered 100, 200 or 300 years from now for his proof of the Poincaré theorem (not a conjecture anymore!) while the majority of us very likely will be forgotten (again including me). What Perelman achieved cannot be bought by *any* amount of money. It's simply impossible to buy glory such as his with money alone. At least I was lucky enough to witness a *living* Pythagoras.

  • Why not get the money and give it to Unicef or russian orphans organization ???

This man is afraid of civilisation ...

  • @nicologic72 more likely he rejects the fame itself, it distracts him from his study and what about money - he doesn't need it for himself, and he's pretty sure there are ppl capable of spending it in better way. Sharing with orphans organizations for example. He wants to study, not to blink on the blue screen.

  • @xDrunkDevilx Perelman has been of the area of mathematical study ever since he published his proof on arXiv.

  • @FREDSUCKSASSBITCH ba ise kai 8afmastis tou perelman? o kara8eodoris den sou kani?

  • @nicologic72 If he decided to donate the money he would be faced with the problem who deserved/needed it the most. One million is not that much money. It's quickly spent and then someone will always be angry with him because he/she didn't get a part from that money. So it is better not to take the money for reasons of donations. And if he takes the money just for himself, people will either be angry with him again because he doesn't share it or try to rob him (his face is known to everybody.)

  • @nicologic72 ,because he is theoretic ,lives in own world and dont thinks about money at all

sevondly- there is corruption in russia,,His money would be stealed by russian authorities

  • Think of the awesome calculator he could have bought with a million bucks? Could have had one of those ones with the squiggly scientific buttons and everything.

  • Perlman reminds me of Alexander Grothendig

  • Its true! If you are rewarded every time you make something you will go down...

  • Perhaps the issue is: Whether or not, ethics is recognised as part of your personal philosophy.

  • He makes me think over many questions. Around me there are people who would sell their own mothers for 10 Euro. And he just neglect the money. He is our home-fellow!

  • I do know that Perelman did not trust the system. Several people had stolen some of his previous results. I believe he must be a very sensitive and honest person. Accepting their prizes he would have accepted their mockery

  • A rare and truly genius person. Most of people are incapable of understanding him. But if you look from his point of view, it is not difficult to understand. Very impressive and honest person; no doubt he is a great man!

  • Very interesting! A truly genius person! Lots of people are incapable of understanding him, but if you look from his point of view, it is not difficult to understand.

  • take the money and give it to me!if u don't want it :)

  • take the money and give it to me!if u don't want it :)

  • You need to look up the difference between 'conjecture' and 'proof''

    Perhaps then you might understand

  • Oh dear, my ignorance is highlighted here. As it seems pretty obvious that a ball is the simples thing in the world. The roots of the riddle are clearly ALOT deeper than i can dig!

  • The most intelligent people are very humble. So needing for show off and being materialistic is lack of intelligence. PEOPEL WITH FAME AND MONEY WILL DENY THEIR STUPIDITY AND CALL THE GENIUS STUPID INSTEAD? But then, people who show off in all tehir life they live stupid and die stupid. And when humanity faces a challenging problem they go to humble people's solution like Perelman again and again for centuries even for millenniums.

  • What are you trying to say there, pal, that all famous and rich people are stupid by default? Are you stupid?

Most intelligent people in this world combine their intellectual capabilities with craving for wealth. Perelman might be a genius but it doesn't mean he's entirely sane. Most great men aren't. It does not mean he is right at declining the money. Yet most certainly it is his business and it's up to him. Some other genius would take the money. It's different for everybody.

  • @ExClUr yes, famous and rich people become stupid by default. wealth brings decadence.

  • @catalinaguerrero Wealth can bring decadence but it is not a certainty. Therefore it is wrong to assume that rich people are stupid by default. As to famous people - I did not mean famous as in "celebrities", I meant famous people such as Einstein, Tesla, and now Perelman.

  • @volter555 this is what i call "virtue bias" overating good qualities. if perelman was a narcissist (yet mantained his intelligence and sucess) he would be mocked and underrated. what you see as humility i see as paranoia. i still believe this man is one of the smartest men of all time.

  • I hope Discovery Channel will make inspirational movie about him

  • so the news is one year old . why repeat?

  • @yotota1com ,napishi eto po anglijski -

write in english - HE IS JEWISH,

  • If there's no fundamental mathematics and physics, you wouldn't have you phone, PC, radio, TV, auto, youtube, airlines, etc...

  • @daggerfighter It's these background people that makes the world go around, and unfortunately I don't think they get recognised enough

  • @caca86624 And perhaps - like Perelman - it's because they like it that way. =)

  • Lots and lots and lots of medical and technical breakthroughs were preceded by insights like these - and the other way round. In this particular case, I can imagine that it has become easier to make computers distinguish spherical structures from non-spherical structures anywhere. That way, it may help find new medicines.

  • @bths87

... wrote he with his computer that could not exist without mathematics

  • do you even know what you re saying...or just gibberish...? do you know the subject...?

  • /watch?v=kPiN5doazNY

  • why one of the Last and True scientists

  • @voffkathe1 Is it that necessary for a true Russian scientist to be 100% Jewish?

  • is it necessary for the greatest physicist of the century to be a 100% jewish? i don't know and i don't care.

  • You already answered my question, didn't you? Everyone is aware of Einstein being Jewish, I just wish things would be called their proper names.

  • @ExClUr i ment Einstein

  • What does he care about being admired by the crowd, or about 1 million, or 1 trillion dollars? This man's kingdom is not of this world and it's all the better for Maths. ... reminds me of that other genius...(who accepted the Nobel for Physics because he was working in a team)

    /watch?v=f61KMw5zVhg

  • I think the more he rejects prizes and recognition for his work, the more he'll draw the attention of Hollywood and major filmmakers. Meanwhile, he's probably the way he is because he doesn't want any of this...

  • Unlikely. He lives in a horrible poverty.

  • And he just rejected a prize of $1Million for resolving the quiz of the century!

  • I know Grigoriy Yakovlevich, he comes to computer shop where i work.

  • Good Morning,

    Sure it's him?

  • Of cause! Our shop stand near of him house. (Kosmonavtov prospekt in Saint-Petersburg)

  • maybe he speaks to aliens over the internet ;-)

  • :DDDDDDDD

  • really hard to find such an honest man. Who really hates the lies from the world and media. Totally respect him.

  • @j2hsieh I don't think it is honest thing. we want environment that we want.

  • Total respect for this historic genius. For some attention is a very negative issue so I understand his position. Sadly he has quit Math altogether but he is still young and may return. Great story.

  • What he did is well beyond my university minor in mathematics. WELL beyond... for a lack of a more dramatic and hence accurate adjective.

  • I would not say countless! Princeton Uni sates there are 8 outstanding mathematical conjectures. This one nevertheless captured the imagination of Mathmaticians - The genius of Perelman in solving this was his approach, namely using Physics rather than a geometry as the basis to solve the conjecture!

  • success is its own reward.

  • I hate to leave a slightly negative comment but the reporter is really ignorant - I'm sure everyone who would actually watch a video about this is already aware, but I feel I need to point out that Poincare was nothing like 'one of the last great problems' in mathematics. There are countless others.

  • Perhaps Perelman refused the prize money because he understands what money really is, what it does and how it is used. Although it certainly doesn't take a mathematical wizard to see all that, it does require resolute ethical character to act accordingly.

  • my name is grigoriy.. i hope i become like that too :)

  • He is genius of Gaussian proportions.

In fact, he reminds me so much of Gauss.

I would vote infinity, if I were to judge his character combined with mathematical genius.

  • Convento o Hollywod (Venalidad, burdel).

  • This controversy as made Perelman more conspicuous. I think not accepting the Fields Medal and the million has gotten (and will get) him more notoriety than if he had quietly accepted the awards and faded back into obscurity.

  • 4-d consciousness reduces 3-d consciousness to relative insignificance.

  • Genius who doesn't want worldwide fame and mountain of gold. Great example for us all.

  • when he gets a Breakthrough he becomes a "russian mathemtician" but when not, he is just an ordinary "jew".

  • exactly. hypocrits!!! )))

  • @starwar324 ,totally agree with you,,this is sort of hypocrisy ..When it comes to russian revolution - its called ''jewish bolshevism'',,but when the jew do something nice - he is ''russian''

If Perelman is ''Russian'' then Trotsky and Kaganowitch are ''Russians'' too..

Then stop talking about ''jewish mafia'' which is in fact RUSSIAN mafia.

  • A man to admire, a miracle of the mankind.

  • Its illogical to turn down $1,000,000 and live in virtual poverty with your mother.

  • tal kual..

  • @alwaritzmi 100% de acuerdo

  • Perelmam's avoidance to the media claimed more attention that if he had attended the ceremony.

But it seems that he had no money to attend as well as he was ignored by the mathematic community by his way of wear and beard, and long fingernails, what is a shame for them all. Perelman's is a superman above all this...

  • I'm not so sure. If he didn't have money to attend I think ICU or ICM or some other sponsor could have covered his travel and lodging costs. I am also not sure about the math community ignoring him because of his appearance. I think that community and those similar tend to be more accepting of unusual appearances.

  • its ci¡onsidered the smartest guy in the world

  • "Nothingness that results from complete denial of self is only a relative nothingness and not to be feared."

I love mathematics but mathematics hates me and what Dr. Perelman did and wants in life amazed me!

I understand his humble well being and wish he may have peace of mind-its what he needs!
