A friendly question:

Why is there so much talk about doing hard things and not much about why you would even want to do hard things??

Grasping the 'why' is horribly compex. Most teens, upon hearing this sort of message, will turn into mini legalists/moralits. Not all. But most.

I've not yet been to the conference, so I don't know all that they address, but the easy thing to do is to go with the crowd. Not following this morally bankrupt society is hard. I don't want to go with the crowd. That doesn't make me a legalist though. Desiring to live righteously doesn't make a person a legalist. There are many good things said in the Bible about those who walk uprightly. Attitude is important to avoid legalism, though.:) Do you think the crowd is worth following?
