  • Fantastic...

  • Some think that sampling is "stealing" off these gems, but provided permission is granted by the original artist, by being sampled their music is inter-generational. As an artist, for your music to still be relevant past your generation is an honour to you.

  • this is awesome

  • this is that shit right here.

I actually figured this out through listening to 4hero's remix and was like, "Hey I heard this in 'Saturday'!"

  • I could have sworn Dr Dre sampled this for the track "Let Me Ride"

  • Jay Kay from Jamiroquai owes this band some serious bread or at least props people, listen to how he even totally rips the "ah-hah-yeah" cold! It starts at 0:13...thanks for posting this great, great track!

  • girl meets boy on thursday night, boy was high girl fly like kite.....

  • cool !!

  • prince paul was the king!! yeh stetsasonic!!! yeh mantronik!

  • Hard!!

  • Sampled by DJ TONKA, "Phunky".

  • This is some classic material....im loving this tune BIG TIME...takin back to my youthful days on the N.Y.C.

  • Heavy..

  • Love this track, miss breaking to this, does anyone have the MP3?

  • @robintate Down load a youtube to mp3 converter and put it on your itunes/ipod or another mp3 player.

  • @DBlack1911 Your comment was as good as finding 20 bucks in your pants pocket right before you throw it in the washing machine. If that makes sense? Finally I can get a hold of all this great music I can't seem to find on P2P networks...

    Thanks!

  • super tuff boogie/funk/soul

de la soul did NOT sample this track.

they actually sampled a cover of this track by a band from LA called Rebirth. which also 'hits the spot'.. gotta love good music

    peace x

  • Dream on! Rebirth only recorded their version of Evil Vibrations in 2006! That's 15 years after De La made Saturdays! This is the track used. God am such a nerd, need to get out more.....

  • @tushansoulboy

thanks for clarifying this one. i was always so sure of this, but never had really proof...

  • @woe1969 wrong, wrong, wrong.... This song was in fact sampled by De La Soul, along with Chicago's Saturday in the park, Instant Funk's I got my mind made up, Franki Valli's Grease, and Young-Holt Unlimited's Light my fire...

Not bad for a white boy that does his research well...

  • @wickedjuggalo50187 You are right on the money. De La Soul "Interpolated/Sampled" the "EVIL VIBRATIONS song after hearing in London on a BMG Compliation Album call RARE 4. De La Soul used the Mighty Ryeders song in their Album De La Soul Is Dead. That Album was released by Tommy Boy Muisc, Inc., in 1991. SUN-GLO RECORDS, INC., is the Copyright owner of the Master and Upward Bound Music Co., Inc. is the owner of Mechanical.

  • @woe1969 stop planting the seeds of misinformation

  • @woe1969 FROM; The Producer of the "EVIL VIBRATIONS" song, The REBIRTH did not create the "EVIL VIBRATIONS" song. REBIRTH Recorded a Remake of the Mighty Ryeders "EVIL VIBRATIONS" song. REBIRTH did not obtained permission from the Copyright Owner to release their version of the "EVIL VIBRATIONS song. Nor did their Record Company. I know what I am taking about because my company, SUN-GLO RECORDS, is the original copyright owner.

  • whatever ramona ! music of this caliber cannot be achieved by today's over-produced, sampled to the hilt neo-syncopation. it should apparent to all that bands of yesterday had the "it" factor... why do you think the so-called "groups" of today must sample music over 30 years old? because they lack the imagination and skill to bring it on...sorry to harsh your delusion, but it's just the truth my friend.

  • saturday

  • bump all this "so&so sampled this" talk....Give props to this tight original...where are your manners?

  • who rattled your cage pal ?
