  • Simply beautiful!!!

  • ¡¡ EXCELENTE VERSION...CON BUENAS IMAGENES...PETER EL MEJOR!!

    BIEN POR TI laspenasdel fenix...saludos

  • beautiful!!

  • Thanks for your work....nice!

  • Back in the 80's I had a promo on vinyl, with Peter singing this in German.... It's believe me the most chilling, dynamic version that I have ever heard. If someone has this still - please post it and show the world, thank you

  • I own a copy of this in German!

  • this song is superb, ive just heard this today for the 1st time,i thought he was a bit of a wank, but i was wrong,5stars....

soz for my previous opinion pete :-)

  • I have not heard this in years! I still have this album.

  • My favorite version of this is from Robert Fripp's 'Exposure' - the frippertronics in it sound very aquatic.

  • It is the version from Exposure. The best one.

  • This version really isnt very good.

The best version is the slower and more quiet version from Shaking the Tree album. Theres no high pitched scream on that one.

  • I disagree, you must not know who Robert Fripp is - those are some of the most striking textures of noise I've ever heard.

  • If you get the Shaking the Tree Album and listen to that version, You will realise it is better. I dont my the scream, I love the rest of the chorus, The most thing I dont like is how fast the main song is, If it was more slower it would be more heart touching.

  • I prefer the Shaking the Tree version as well. While it's simpler and slower, I also think his voice is much more intense in that version, and overall it has a much stronger emotional impact.

And the verses in this version are much more repetitive than on Shaking the Tree, with less stress on different parts, overall making the words do more to run into each other.

  • @SakuChanofthesand I agree that the shaking the tree version is the best one.

  • the guy that sings the really high pitched part ruins the song

  • That's Peter Gabriel as well!

  • i totally disagree w/u! that is peter gabriel's signature build up. luv it!

  • I agree with you. That part makes the song better... More dramatic.

Simplemente perfecto. Qué voz tan delicada, suave...qué temazo.

    Un saludo =)

  • My favourite is the German version

No vas a escuchar neda mejor nunca masss!

  • I agree...this is on Robert Fripp'S Exposure...amazing album

  • Definitely the best version of this song.

  • Thanks for posting this. Of all the versions of this song that PG has done over the years, I've always held this one up as the definitive one, and it's the one probably least known.
