  • Maybe she's in pain..i dunno!! i'm so sorry this has to happen to you!! Here is a suggestion: lunge before riding and do join-up and free round penning instead of riding....that helped with me maybe with you!! Good Luck with your horsey!!

  • You're incredible!

  • I would love to school this horse. its my job :)

  • On the plus side- you have some AMAZING photo's of her being naughty ;)

  • you're are an amazinggg rider its unreal :)

  • She is either just being plain naughty, or something is bothering her

  • are you sure she/he is healthy?

she looks like she is in pain?;) maybe her saddle or her back, or her neck?

    your a great little rider:)

  • ahhh, i saw your other video, so it was something in her neck? well atleast you found the problem. She will be an absolutely great horse and if she was willing to jump when she was injured that bad i cant wait to see what shell do when shes fixed!! she'll be amazingg!! good luck to you both :) she obviously loves you and jumping as well as competing! you two have an amazing future together!

  • as me and my mother were watching this video she said she is in pain, she thinks it is something in the left hind? i dont know if you got that checked out or not.........

  • your such a good rider, and you can see how connected you are to her like when she turns and things.

  • am no expert & am aware you said its not due to pain but i would double check, it looks like to me she is in pain, looking at her eyes when she rears, could be something like neck spazams? dont mean to be annoying, just something doesnt add up! great seat though! & she is a stunning horse! x

  • i totaly admire you! you are and such a good brave rider!

  • I hate the people who say "use natural horsemanship!!". That's not going to fix it. This horse clearly does NOT like her job. Perhaps she'd be better suited as a dressage pony? Have you had a vet go over her with a fine toothed comb?

  • at 0:37, is that you?

  • you are amazing it is a shame you gave up but i would to but that is great you could do that for living training horses!

  • Your amazing. You keep getting back on when you know what's gunna happen! The horse is just having fun from what I can see! You have lots of patience! you don't need to listen to those people!

  • I'll be labelled a "hater" and I'm fine with that. That horse needs someone with alot of patience, someone who cares more about her safety and how she feels than parading her around.

  • @L4DHunter2011

I agree with you. Why force her to do something she hate when she could do something else. She clearly hates jumping.

  • @twilightingX if u se her other vidoe she a cracking showjumping ;l

  • I'm sorry, you are a disgust to horse owners. "I'd rather shoot her than sell her". Someone out there could make something of that horse, and it could become one of 'those' ponies that everyone wants to own. Giving up on your friend like that. I gave up my horse and it was the worst thing I have EVER done. I regret it every day, I'd give anything to turn back time and get her back, work with her - natural horsemanship, there's SO Many options. Take them. But dont lose her.

  • .....straight bar bit as these hold the toung down when they come into action, for a horse to rear, it must be able to lift it's tounge so by doing this, makes it harder for her to rear....good luck with your horse...they don't normally do things to be plain naughty, it's normally something bothering them, it's just working out what is wrong and fixing it and making the horse comfortable...hope this helps..xx

  • ........between you...when hacking your horse out, have the horse on the bit, use a market harbour martingale (you can use this kind of martingale jumping aswell) when a horse rears..before she will raise her head, lift her tounge and shift her weight backwards...when you notice this, push her forwards realy drive her and act confident, growl at her if you have to...if she does rear as soon as she lands, push her on wasting no time...you can also change her bit into a single jointed or a........

  • When a horse rears, it's basically shouting at you...trying to tell you something but human and horse already have communication issues, normally a rearer doesn't understand and gets confused or is nervous or lacking confidence...you say it all started at shows...maybe he gets a little nervous at shows, maybe the jumps are different to what he's used to..horses naturally do not like change...to create a bigger bond, why not look at join up on youtube and try it yourself, creat some trust........

  • 0:05 Weee!!

    Later....

    CRAP!

  • How about trying some natural horsemanship with her before sending her away and giving up on her. I bet she would respond to that. She could be a chaged horse if you wet down that route with the right trainer. Mrs Bruff:)

  • I hope she's better! I see this was posted about two years ago... You're right, she is a beautiful and talented pony! I really hope she works out for you :)

  • fuck the haters hun! you did amazing ,your a good rider and well done for sitting to those rears!!!!!!!!!!!xxxxxxx

  • i know how scary it can be! i was test-riding this lady's (16.5 hands tall) saddle bred that was for sale and he was amazing until i took him outside and was doing what ur horse was doing.which was really scary because i've already had a horse totaly flip over on me.

  • Have you tried Parelli? It worked for me when my horse just kept going nuts and we couldn't think what was wrong.

  • your an amazing ridder, with heaps of guts ! good on you! ♥

  • omg you stay on so well good on you x ;)

  • Stop kicking her with the spurs!! you skews with them not kick. learn how to use them or don't!!

  • fucing hell... i feel so sorry for you :/ i hope all is good now well riden x

  • wen y7ou ride her bring a rolled up news paper n hit her inbetween the ears my aunt had a horse that always did that n after she started doing that he stopped.

  • @taetae223 I have a chronic rearer. Eggs, newspaper, water balloons don't do shit on a horse that's been rearing for most of its life. It's a mental game from then on. Sending a rearer off to a professional doesn't work either if the primary rider is not also in on the training. It's really hard and I sympathize with this rider. Worked really hard to get my horse to stop rearing and while he will be really good he does relapse and fall back to this habit.

  • I really hope she gets better. She's beautiful and looks like she has lots of talent

  • this is exactly what my first pony did! he knocked my confidence so much but he gave me so much experience! now 1yr ahead i would dream to get back on him and show him that i can be stronger than him! he means so much to me but now i have come on loads in the past 6months... before...with him.....i couldn't jump a course without him messing up! i was to scared to jump more than a meter and he was a total pain he was even known in all the local shows as the pony with rider who sticks like glue!:(

  • i would love it if you replied :) do you ever feel like giving up? there were times with that pony that i would consider selling him but i just couldn't let him go :( he will always be a part of me even though he knocked me further than i ever had been , but if it wasn't for him i wouldn't be where i am now! and i can't thank my instructor enough for helping me through the difficult times and showing me that it is possible! please reply as that would mean alot to me x

  • do you want to know a trick for them to stop rearing? keep raw eggs with you (its inconvenient but it works) when they rear smash the egg on their poll.... they will think they broke their head open because they will feel the egg running down their face and they will think its their own blood... keep doing this until they stop rearing... Hope this helps =)

  • @gablehaus101 I agree, that's a great way to get them to stop rearing, I do that :P You can do it with water balloons too =) xxx

  • She reminds me of my pony you ride her so well! keep going you'll get there! :)xx

  • awwwwwww :/ i know how yhu feel, its like she is the only thing that matters and yhu would give anything 2 try help/fix her. aww

  • lovely picture at 2:57 :)

  • ino this was posted a couple of years ago, but have you still got her?

and she does look like the sort that you could eventually work around.. if you still have her i hope things came around etc:)

  • You're so lucky and blessed to have a horse. I have always wanted a horse but my family doesn't have the resources to get one.

  • you inspire with a great deal, you honestly do. no matter what this pony threw at you, you never gave up on her, her rears are just insane i dont know how you sit to them, your truely brilliant, and i hope all the training with her works out <3

  • She looks like she has a rearing problem... Bonk her over the head with your fist next time she rears up, because my horse used to rear like that and now he listens very well and rear's on comand...

  • you are an amazing rider, she looks like an amazing pony, its just such a shame,, its times like this when you wish you could speak to them, dont give up x

  • Hmm I've ridden a few that are afraid to go forward because they have been fired at fences. Is she a sec D? She ooks like that sort, 14.2hh I'm guessing. How old? Have you ever tried riding her slowly? let me know.

  • i think she loves getting u off but then she also loves makin u happyy x

  • your such an amazing rider :) i would be blooming scared if that was me :L they are some HUGE!!!! rears she does ??? does she do it because she is xited ? Well donw for not giving up ;) x

  • Your good for not giving up on her, what breed is she, she is beautiful. Hope training helps her.

  • Is she a Welsh Cob by any chance? lol, I used to loan a Welsh Sec D last year and he was 12 and he used to nap so badly but he would dance and go backwards on the spot and into cars also bolt, he was very dangerous but he did get a little better, had to give him up coz of my job. I difficult to imagine how bad the situation is until your in it yourself. I lost a lot of confidence riding that pony yet he had so much potential. Good luck! At least your not giving up, and you sat all the rears!! xx

  • How old is she?....

  • My horse rears alot to. It is mostly out of impatience or hyperness. I just have to work with her. I know how you feel about Lacey because some horses are special and are meant for you. I found my match with my mare. WE ARE CLOSEST EVER!!!!!!! If we were people I could tell her anything!:) I love her soooo much...Good luck with lacey!=)

  • she has a rearing problem doesn't she?...lol.

  • i think you're making the right decisions by getting her professionally schooled. my horse used to knap and rear exactly like lacey and i couldnt deal with it so sent him to 'rehab' and put him up for sale but after a couple of months we had him back and now he's like a different horse!

by the way you sat all those rears amazingly :) good luck with her!

  • I was training a stallion that had a rearing 'problem'. His previouse rider would beat him and lounge him out of rearing. So he was rearing out of fright and because he had energy. All i did to fix it was hop on him without lounging him first and let him rear as long as he wanted. He almost flipped over a couple times and he walked backwards with me once, after he was done rearing and all sweaty and tired, i would ride him like nothing happened. Walk, trot, canter no problem.

  • @DivaxoxStarr i also rode without a whip. i had spurs on because he was dead to the leg. After he realized that rearing didnt solve anything or get a reaction out of me he stopped it altogether. I hope this helps you. I dont know what to say otherwise. A pro is a good choice to :)

  • Compliments on your riding and attitude. Never give up on her...thats not what friends do. Inspirational riding I hope she can overcome this soon!

  • i know she is well able to carry you but it does look as though you have out grown her.. have you thought that maybe she was finding it harder to jump at competitions as you are a bit big on her? maybe she was feeling under pressure at competition and then she just started associating being ridden with stress and a not nice experience?

  • I also want to compliment your seat. If that happened to me, I would have fallen off every time. I'm still a novice rider.

  • I truly feel for you, and I hope things have gotten a lot better with Lacey. The love I have for my horse, Smoke, is beyond measure, but he has been giving me a lot of problems lately. He's a stallion, but that isn't what's causing the problems. No matter what, though, he'll stay with me forever. Even if he's just a pasture pet. He's just too special of a horse to let go of.

  • I always get inspired by seeing these vids, knowing im not the only one out there with horse attitude problems :) im glad to see you havent given up on her!!!! WAY TO GO!!!!! :)

  • your mare is beautiful! i admire you, i had a similar problem with my ex horse, he used to buck and rear everytime i ride him. i gave up and now he is in my farm eating all day long haha, although i regret not trying harder i love my crazy but cute horse!! now i own a mare =)

beautiful videos! sorry my english im argentinian

  • Those pictures are actually beautiful, despite the fact that shes being an ass hole (my horse is the same, only hes only vertically reared once and i landed in the leapfrog position haha!) i especially like 1:00 lol but yeah, you could break the habit yourself, you'd have to go back to ground work and longing over the hurdles, and at every mistake correct her, then move back to saddle, only having someone longing you two, then after that try it on your own.

  • On 0.34 It looks like shes just gettin really frustrated with u try her on a little longer rein! :)

  • HI There, I ve spent a ridiculously emotional couple of hours watching your films. I know this is an old one but I d love to know how you re getting on with Lacey. She s a beautiful horse and I hope that things are better for you both.

  • beautitfull horse honey and your riding is great i only wish i could be of some more help but your miles away .....email i have some ideas helen ....intlmedics@aol.com hope things are getting better ...x

  • I'd love to have your confidence!

  • so how is she doing...is she better or no?

  • How long u bin riding, she's beautiful you are very good to stay on when she rears! Very naughty that though she got a nice jump an pace when she gets going!!! xxx

  • wow you are so lucky :) she is one beautiful horse and i bet you bring the best out of her :) i no so many people who would have given up on her ages ago but you have done so well with her and i hope she gets even better soon :) x

  • Omg--I'ev only just noticed this (after watching this video like agess ago ;P) that in some of the clips you're at Rogate XC course! You must be local to us! ;) We always go there! Hahaa!xx

  • you kick her alot try squeezing with your calfs. I had a horse that she would act up every time you gave her a small kick but when you just squeezed she was an angel and dont give her attention when she acts up just act like it was nothing and keep riding.

  • What a talented little pony. It's such a shame that their minds are messed with and they are left scarred. I can see where you're coming from, she has pure jumping talent, and it's obvious she loves it. I admire you for sending her for some proffessional schooling rather than just ignoring the problem. I hope the fix her xxx

  • Hello :) I know what its like when you have a horse like that :( its soo disapointing cause you know they can do better. But what i have done with my horse, is everytime i ride , i carry eggs with with and when he reared i used to crack and egg on his head or crack your whip between the ears. He never really does it anymore :) xxxx

  • omg you are an amazing rider WELL done! x

  • My New horse is exactly the same, Can be perfect at home but at shows and pony club just rears all over the place, no matter whats around us. Try breaking a raw egg over her poll when shes in the air it worked with my other horse (:

  • i pony that i ride was like that even at home in the arena but he was wirse at shows so they sent him to a horse whisperer and he's amazing now :) still can't take him to shows but thats fine with me i hope it works with lacey too

  • 2:56- so beautiful. i hope all goes well.

  • y dont u hammer de shit out of

    him

  • You acc, give her so many chances when most people just sell thier horses at the start of the misbavouir.

my horse has his days, and was beaten so, no matter what happened in laceys past she's probs never gonna forget it, sometimes always gonna trigger it, but you've done such a good job with her.

you should be proud of yourself. you've done a good job!

    keep it up :D xx

  • You ara a pretty good rider. The horse like crazy and nice. :)

  • my horse is the same.. its really frustrating isnt it.. u will get there.. well sat to the rears xx

  • aww hope you have better luck soon x

do u mind if i use some of these clips and i will credit you?

  • have u tried stapping her up all night all day ??

i had a 16.2 tb that was ok one min then reared and bucked the next.

  • i'm sorry to hear baout your mare causing problems!! i hope she gets better... you two make a great team and she looks awesome when not rearing/misbehaving. nice stick on those rears as well :)

  • Haha "brat camp"

I sent my cob to one and he came back lovely!

Have you had her back, teeth and legs check though?

  • You two are goin to be invinsible now that her rearing problem has been found!!!

  • "Brat Camp" lol good way of putting it ...your an amazing rider please please dont give up on her...you to are so good together !!!!

  • Love that horse ~ Im sorry your going through this . And just for the record , i had a horse just like her - would rear for little reason if any, I kept her till she died of old age <3

  • .. ONE love the vid and ur an AWESOME,FAB,FLAMING AMAZING RIDER LOL and i have the same chaps as u, the pink ones and 2 at 0.34 to 0.36, is tat rogate in petersfeild xc??? xx

  • hay 2 things lol

    one

  • wow she has so much talent as u said she looks beautifull when she goes on the bit in trot! xxx its such a shame that lacey is like she is. Maybe it could be a hormonal problem maybe being a mare is a problem or is it a different situation.

  • I know you've probably done this before, but have you got someone to check her teeth? I had the same prob with my horse for ages, but the first guy to check her out said that she was fine...I got a second opinion just in case and it turned out that she had a tooth that really shouldn't have been there! Anyway, good look with the training, hope it works out for you:)

  • I really hope that you get her sorted out. She looks like a beautiful horse, you're a good rider and a really hope things work out for you both.

My horse was a severe napper when i first got him, and i know how utterly impossibly frustrating it is.

I wish you the best of luck with her.

  • wow sorry, i commented before i watched the vid- that comment was on the description, from my opinion as soon as you ask her to do something she doesnt want to do she just goes up and will continue to do so, very well done to you for not allowing her to win each and every time- i know if that was me three-four rears and i would probably have given up, well done!

  • good on you for keeping her no matter what, obviously she has a good caring home and an owner who will do exactly whats best for her, your and amazing rider too!

  • im sorry for the problems you are having with her, it must be so fustrating to have such a beatutiful horse that plays the fool like that!, i hope it all works out!!! xx

  • =( my horse has just started rearing =( how do you stay on so well? i am allways falling off rears but i am getting betta at staying on yay! hope lacey begins to learn!

  • ... Continued

when they rears then their riders stop pushing them. Stop pushing them with their legs and hands but going forward and the reins would be loose and the legs would stop pushing her. Then she thinks that when you stop pushing her she have done something good or learn that when she rears then the pushing stops and then she rears again. So if you havent done it already then try to keep pushing her when she rears. Maybe that would help ;)

Your right that she have the talent she needs!

  • I can see what you mean that she can be dangerous but i anyway think she deserves a chance like i think you give her...

If you want a little advice then 1st let the vet check her. Maybe her back or legs hurts or the saddle don't fit her.

If everything is alright then you maybe should think about what you doing before she rearing or when she rearing. I have reading a horsemagazine some days ago and found out that horses sometimes...

    Continue in next coment

  • did you rule pain out before you sent her to the trainers? i have seen tons of horses act like this, and all they needed was there back realigned, or there teeth floated.

if pain isnt the issue then good luck with her training ;)

  • Yeah, she's been checked thousands of times over the years

  • wow ur an amazing rider 2 put up with all that =)

  • yes its all the riders fault hahaha what a load of bull shit. Take it from me...stuff your text book and your riding school ponies up your arse miss eventingwithme and ride a horse with some balls (as in a horse with some go) then say its not the horse its the rider. My horse is so much like this horse. you cant drive it like a car, you cant lock it up and forget about it, you have to deal with the problem and find a way to fix it. Now run along little lady am bored.

  • if u aint guna do much with her but dont wana sell her i would loan her off you if u want. x

  • thanks but no amtter waht she's gonna stay with me :) she's too special to be passed around

  • i would say take the spurs of coz maybe when she rears you could be scared and grip on and make her go up again but they you need them to make her move forward & not refuse as she will rear again ... how is lacey getting on now ?? amazing video .. keep it up :D x x

  • Let me know how it goes please!

I have watched all of Laceys vids and you work so well together!

  • I no exactly what your going through my horse is the exactly the same its so frustrating and hard but worth it when you get so much back he jumps beautify to but has a nasty rear, buck, leap and other imaginative ways to through me off we should swap tips :L :) hope its going well.

  • Any updates on Lacey yet? How is she coming on?

  • She's not, her trainer broke his ankle so she had to come home, she's had a couple of months off and will be going back soon :)

  • she seems burnt out

  • that is one amazing horse and its such a shame she is like that :/ have you tried changing her bit or getting her back checked out as a friends horse did that and the get his back checked out and the saddle was pinching him so if nothing is working think about that. but well done with what you have done with her sooo far

    Xx

  • And I have watched lots of your videos and as much as I think Lacey is an absolute star when she behaves she does have problems. And you have done seriously well to get through what you have with her, and settle her as well as you obviously have. I honeslty dont think Lacey could have a better owner and I think what you are doing is for the best for both of you. Its more than obvious yoou love her and that your thinking about whats best for her. Well done with the riding :) xxx

  • thanks :)

  • No problem =]

  • All I have to say is fail at EventingWithMe. The rider (sorry im not sure of your name) Is obviously one hell of a rider. You can tell that just by the patient way that she sits the vertical rears and the napping etc. Im honestly not sure on what your getting at by saying stop blaming the horse. But it seems to me like you are saying blame the rider. There seems no link to the way she rides Lacey to the way Lacey acts. There is nothing at all wrong with the rider.

  • bearing in mind she's worse with everyone else who has ever sat on her and no other horse I have ever had anything to do with suggests its hardly entirely my fault.

I'm not sitting here saying OMG WHAT A NASTY HORSE!!! Am I? She obviously has problems though.

  • I really hope it works out for you, I really do. You've put everything into this mare and it shows. How is she getting on? I know you've had all the necessary checks, but my only other thought is could it be kissing spines? I doubt it, but just wanted to mention incase you hadn't thought of it. Good luck xx

  • This mare is so so so beautiful , i wish you luck :)

hope it's gets better ..ya this is horse that everyone wants to own <3

  • I just wanna say that you ride her fantastically even if she can be a bit of a toad. ;) Good luck and i hope you can school her out of this.

  • i just got my 1st horse in september. iv been riding him for 2 years now and we finally bought him. he used 2 b such a brat. then he got better and now he is goin back 2 bein a brat. he wont jump anymore unless i whip him with the end of the reins but then he bucks or rears. i just wish that he would b the horse he was when i 1st got him. btw ur horse is gorgeous. it sucks when they act like that

  • Hahaa talk about Madam ;) I hope she begins to stop the rearing, You have amazing patience with her, Many people would have given up and sold her on. Great Riding btw! .. horses can be so stubborn!. She's beautiful :) Oh and

myponyprince She's a cob She can obviously carry her easily otherwise she wouldnt jump with such ease.. I know some1 who's 15 and ride's a sec a, their hardy strong ponies the welsh and anyway 14.3 isnt exactly small. As i said hope she stops soon, Good Luck xx

    xx

  • she's so gorgeous and so talented- im sorry she can be like that. good to hear she's being professionally schooled. btw you're a great rider, and i'm glad you don't take it out on her.

  • which is precisely why she's being professionally schooled

  • hmmm....thats weird

  • Really hope it's gets better soon ;(

x wish ya the bestest because you two are a great team x

  • not really, I'm a tad tall but she can EASILY carry my weight. Besides, who asked you?

  • You didnt by any chance teach her how to rear? If you did that might be why she rears so much. I taught my horse to rear because i thought it was fun, but it started her lasting problem, which killed her and almost me back in June of '

    08

  • nope she's reared since the day I got her.

  • i think i saw you doing the puissance at swallowfield show? i dunno, could be wrong. i really hope things get better cause shes obviosly a very talented showjumper, x

  • Yeah you did :)

  • aww :/

i hope things get better coz she has a amazin jump nd could go quite far x

  • my friend has been riding for like 20 years, and her horse used to rear, so one day she took him out on a trail knowing he was going to rear, and when he did, she popped a water balloon on its head, and he never reared again, because they think it's blood and it scares them, so maybe you can try that, i hope you don't think it's mean, because i have ridden that horse before and he is one of the greatest horse i have ever rode, he has not reared since that very day, idk, try when he comes home!!!

  • Aww :( I really hope she gets better for you. Do you know anything about her past, like has she always done it or just started? Im sure someone out there will be able to help her for you :) And I wish you the best for your future with her

  • i hope lacey starts to do better for you! shes so pretty!

  • This is just a suggestion...

If there's no health reasons for Lacey doing this, what about trying natural horsemanship?

It'll be fun for her, and make her think about what she's doing & build up your relationship.

My horses used to rear, bolt, drag me ect. I got into natural horsemanship and he's perfectly well behaved now :)

I hope all goes well for you and Lacey.

    Good luck!

  • I know a girl who had a horse just like this, a fantastic jumper and everything, but in the last few months she owned her she just wouldn't stop rearing. She tried to sell her and the people interested in her had her vet checked.

She had something wrong with her knees(I can't remember exactly what it was) but the horse had to be euthanized.

I really hope nothing like that happens to you and Lacey. She's gorgeous, and has to much talent! I admire you for sticking with her!

  • i hope its all ok when she comes back Josie i honestly do. I know youve worked so hard at it, but theres only so much that can be taken :) xxxx

  • I'm eagerly awaiting an update on how Lacey is getting on at the trainers :D

  • I'll pop a vid up when I get round to it, but she's coming home for 6 weeks.

The guy working with her had a different horse go over on him and he's broken his foot. So she's coming home to be turned awasy for 6 weeks which is abit awkward :(

  • You are such an amazing rider I'd love to be like you one day.

You handle Lacey better than my Riding instructor would I just know.

  • I love the picture at 3.35, its so good! I hope she gets rid of her rearing problem, love to see you in shows, looking awesome, like you did in the pictures (of her not rearing) :D awesome 5/5

  • you two could be so amazing, she has the potenetial to be an amazing s-jumper, and i have no idea how you stayed on them rears, your a bloody good rider, hope she comes back fabby.

  • i hope she stops rearing shes such a beautiful horse, i am amazed that you sit to her rears , you are a amazing rider too x

  • beautiful horse, something is making her upset. I had a TB mare like that, and she would also run off with you. Lots and lots of ground work, suppling exercises and what ever you do, never let her stop moving her feet if you think she's going to rear. She cannot rear if she's moving forward or in a tight circle, I've delt with a few more chronic rears since my TB. I hope everything works out. Good luck! :)

  • nice flying change at 3:09.. beautiful horse xx

  • thats one unhappy horsy :( well sat though

  • Just stick in there Im Having The Same Trouble With My Mare. Just Stick At It.

  • really don't give up my little shettie attacked me so manny times i almost sold him but i couldn't couse he would end up to be slaugherd. I tried and tried and now he doesn't rear anymore he some times bites but thats diffrent. I hope you won't give up it looks like he/she doesn't want to so does wat he/she want to stop you. When he knows that you stop when it gets to dangeres he/she will always do that

  • Good luck! Hope she does well!

  • You do so well to stay one tbh :)your horse is really ood i hope she gets in a better mood soon :) x

  • I was cringeing watchig this vid!! Its heartbreaking to see that you're at rock bottom again :'( can't imagine what you're going though. You and Lacey are the perfect pair and no one knows her better than you, hope things can turn around again for you, always keep smiling

    xx

  • my mare used to do the SAME thing! she has so much talent but used to rear and stop and be a brat..then we put her on regemate and when i jump i stuff her ears and she hasnt reared since then or rly stoped actually

i think it helps her concentrate

  • promise me that you gonna do a movie about her and if it suceed, when she comes back.

    lovely

  • of course, i'll post updates no matter what the outcome

  • thanks you,

I just hope the best for you guys.

  • omg shes such an awsome jumper! but she looks soooooo hard to ride! ive never ever in my life ridden a rearing pony; you ride him/her amazingly! i would have fallen off :O youre such an awsome rider!

  • Hey how's the first couple of days gone? x

  • They're waiting til Monday to work with her :)

  • Do you lunge her before you ride her??,she could kill you...so easily but I dont know her so I wont say anything crazy.Does she get grain?that could be making her hot headed maybe?.Good luck..I'm sure she'll come around

  • I know...thats why she's gone away, its too dangerous a problem to work with myself especially as she gets worse whenever I persist.

  • have you ever tried tapping her knees when she rears? I no its a wierd idea but someone told me that a lead mare in the wild will bite a rowdy youngter there. I havent actually tried it myself but I know that in my paddock at home our lead mare used to always bite at the others knees to assert her dominance over them. Dont no how you'd it while you're riding, though.

  • good luck with her :D she looks amazing.. when she's being good :)x

  • Hey.. if you find you don't have the time to work with her, or you want something a bit saner... I WILL take her.. seriously... I know you said you wouldn't let her go but if you ever decide you have to i'll gladly take her.

She is a cracking horse, and you can see she has great potential, I really hope things work out for you two. I'd be really interested to find out how her training goes so when she's back, maybe drop me a comment? :D I wanna go into career with schooling see :) Thaaanks! :)

  • Haha thanks but she's never going, and if something happened which meant I had to, it'd be loan and as a companion only :P Just too risky she'll end up somewhere where they try to beat it out of her, you know? Then I reckon she could turn lethal as she loses all sense of reason if you get cross with her...

I'd say I'll comment you but tbh I WILL forget lol! I'm very busy most of the time and it'll just fall out my brain :P but I'll be posting updates as it goes :)
