i guess they heard the bass standing out in heavy rhythm and likened it to korn in that way not realizing this was part of the basis of an entire sound in the 90's not at all even related to metal or "funk metal" which faith no more should more appropriately be credited anyway.
@jjgottschalk rhcp and korn created the sound of funk groove metal as you know it today. you want faith no more to have credit for it all but they can't have it.
I hear the Korn connection...but this has taken that sound to a more complex level. But Korn didn't invent the sound they supposedly propagated anyway....
space rock is a bit of stretch. polvo's charm was always that they effortlessly sounded as though they were would fall apart any second. a beautiful mess essentially
I saw them perform Saturday at Fitzgeralds in Houston...Amazing!! -- they were off my radar back in the 90's - don't know why. Did i say they were amazing??
Yeah, this track showed me one of the bands I really missed out on in the 90's when I was exclusively obsessed with metal and punk. I also missed dinosaur jr and several others, but have been crate digging what I was passing up on or unable to afford in the 90's as fast as I can for like 4 years now. I am lookin' forward to hearing more of these guys.
i've heard this song only a couple times in the past two years, and i always have flashbacks of the guitar at 2:38. sooo sexy. dunno why i haven't gotten it until now.
@avitaker512 I can sort of see the Korn reference, and i really don't see it as something bad for either band. If Korn has the abilitiy to influence a band like Polvo, and them being open minded and eclectic enough to accept the influence then more power to both of them.
Respond to this video... @avitaker512 people are retarded get over it same guy who would compare this to korn would upload a video of him self welding the muffler of his 92' chevy blazer with the song let the bodies hit the floor playing over it and buy flaming skull decals from the automotive section at walmart for his custom computer case that no one besides his own mother will ever see run on sentences are a way of life.
Doesn't it rule when bands like these guys and dino jr. come back and pick right up where they left off...like the hiatus never even happened? I feel like I'm twenty again...
hey tom kayler! you great motherfucker! thank you for being so awesome as to rock me out ! polvo should come to ft. myers fl. before it sinks.., peaces

Fuck the Korn lovers, this has absolutely nothing to do with Korn. Completely different. This is way more indie than Korn will ever be.
Seriously, this is more related to Celine Dion than to Korn.
