It did look as if it the storm system had tremendous potentential to drop a tornado down, but from what I could tell it just looked like a really bad thunderstorm. But keep in mind it is these knds of systems that can drop dangerous tornadoes down. I do not blame the photograher. The potential was here. Just never happened, at least on the video anyway

Yea 9 had some good footage. Channel 4 had some good ground chase shots on today from it as well. Sorry you guys missed it. They said it was a possible low end EF-2. Hope you guys catch some more storms in the next day or two, looks like mainly rain so far, just looked outside and there are some great clouds here over Norman

Great video. Dang that storm was stubborn, just didn't want to come down. Saw some good shots on the Fairview storm on the news yesterday, you guys get close to that?

No...we should have been there though. One of those tornadoes in Major county was a large tornado...I saw it on the News 9 helicopter coverage.

It's crazy because the 700 mb flow was only 15 knots. I've never heard of a large tornado with 700 mb flow below 20 kts.. You can never underestimate the power of outflow boundaries! I've been more obsessed with shear in the ambient environment recently, and have been ignoring the role of boundaries in tornadogenesis.

Stunning is the better word here. Incredible structure and clouds. If I saw something like that I'd be pulling over and getting a picture. Only in tornado alley do stunning storms like that one happen often.
