40 years ago I came out at 18. At 28 I met the love of my life, at 38 he died from injuries of an anti gay ambush. At 50, I met a man with a killer smile, last week we celebrated my 58th birthday and our 8th anniversary together.

An absolutely tragic story of a human being who suffered an enormous amount in his short life and all because he was gay. It is deeply disturbing and I feel sick that people, not least his warped parents, can inflict such pain on a young lad.
The only good to come out of this, is the fact he is now at peace.

Oh come on.... This fully supports the theory by which environment creates LGBT people. Detachment from your own gender and acceptance by the opposite makes people identify themselves with the opposite gender and be attracted by their own. That's why so many LGBT persons remember being gay in the childhood - no you weren't, you remember being rejected by your own gender for some reason, later you justified it with being lgbt.

The reason is, that though I suffered greatly at the hands of homophobia, I am not, and never was at any point homosexual or transgendered. I am a straight male. This is a problem that affects us all, everyone one of us in society, and it is not a problem that should continue or should have ever happened. I will continue to stand up for LGBTQ rights whenever I can, and you should too.
alternative school. I suffered from depression and it stalked me for many years after school. In 2009 I tried to take my own life. I failed. I have tried a few times since then but now I am on the right track and loving life. The point I am making is that though this experience happens to many people in the LGBTQ community, I want to raise awareness with anyone who reads my comments here that the problem of homophobia has far reaching consequences even outside that community.

Oh come on.... This fully supports the theory by which environment creates LGBT people. Detachment from your own gender and acceptance by the opposite makes people identify themselves with the opposite gender and be attracted by their own. That's why so many LGBT persons remember being gay in the childhood - no you weren't, you remember being rejected by your own gender for some reason, later you justified it with being lgbt.
But still, it's not up to us to decide someone's way of life. RIP!

You know what's funny? 7 yrs ago, my 15 yr old daughter told me she was bi-curious. So, I did the only decent thing and threw her out of the house. Now, she is 22 and working as prostitute in KC and has a 4 yr old crackbaby, and I realize...she was never gay at all. She was just curious. I might have overreacted. Boy, is my face red! Still, at least no one got hurt. I mean, I still don't want her or her crackbaby back...what would the neighbors think?

This story makes me so completely sick. I am ranting now. The fact that his OWN fucking parents tried to preform and exorcism is absolutely horrifying to me. And that they didn't even show up to his funeral makes me realize that this kid was probably hurting so bad inside.
I completely respect all LGBT communities and if i EVER see someone being tormented by anyone..i promised myself that i'd stand up for that person.

The reason is, that though I suffered greatly at the hands of homophobia, I am not, and never was at any point homosexual or transgendered. I am a straight male. This is a problem that affects us all, everyone one of us in society, and it is not a problem that should continue or should have ever happened. alternative school. I suffered from depression and it stalked me for many years after school. In 2009 I tried to take my own life. I failed. I have tried a few times since then but now I am on the right track and loving life. The point I am making is that though this experience happens to many people in the LGBTQ community, I want to raise awareness with anyone who reads my comments here that the problem of homophobia has far reaching consequences even outside that community.

This is not a problem only for the LGBTQ community I would like to add. I had much the same experience he did growing up and going through high school, even the experience of being physically assaulted in a full classroom with a teacher present. I did not fight back so no wrong doing could be pinned on me, but it happened anyways, I was the one punished and the person who assaulted me got off with no punishment. My mother pulled me from school at that point and i was placed in a different alter
