  • there are a whole bunch of comments asking what the song is, so i will as well. i'm guessing that it is by europe, but i have no clue what the song name is.

  • dang if you are using a 2s, you could get like 2 4000 mah nano tech batteries in parallel. fly forever :O

  • you dont have any problem with lift. its got all that thrust right on the wing!

  • what song is this

  • can u watch the on board cam live or u just record and then u just watch it?

  • Awesome! Maybe it should be named the Antonov 250 or C-10!

  • @legoliker7517 or c-225 or an-5 :)

  • thats beast

  • WTF? 2100 mah 2s battery? as in ONE SINGLE 2-cell is running 10 EDFs?

  • @catamaranman333 hahaha thats right each motor pulls 4 amps and the battery has a max of 44 A burst (its a Thunderpower) which is why it can fly without the lipo puffing

  • epic

  • epic

  • awsome plane man!

    love it

  • where can i get those plans ?

  • Neat concept!

  • This was at E-Fest 2008 wasn't it

  • He used 2 Cells; 7.4 Volts. Foam and Tape, any thoughts about plans? Also, does that thing have ailerons? I think it would be pretty hard to control with just rudder, elevator, and throttle. Keep up the great work

    Nate

  • it does have ailerons, LOL, it would be impossible to keep up with indoors if it didint.

as for plans, I have none, and I'm not sure if anyone would even want to buy that many EDF's

  • this is pretty awsome what volt lipos did you use, just curious

  • reminds me of the antonav

  • its the wicked off spring of a C-5 and an antonov 225 XD

  • Awesome!... I'm impressed at how maneuverable that big beast is!! The aerial camera work is great... What camera are you using?

  • Nikon S210

  • Sweet plane!

    what are flight times like?

  • about 10-12 minutes... I think?

  • thats pretty good, nice!

  • I'd be really grateful if you'd explain how you powered the 10 EDF and then how you throttled them all up... have you done a technical video on this plane? Great idea, super footage... all of it!

  • they're all brushed motors, so I wired them to 2 30 amp ESC's in parrallel and thats pretty much it!!! It sounds super complicated but it was actually easy to do!

  • Thanks for the quick reply. I was enjoying "The Final Countdown" when you replied... Not letting the tank on the cargo plane, was hi-larious! Aren't you too young to know these songs? I grew up with those tunes! I figured you grew up with Brittany Spears... oops she did it again! Keep up the great work! You'll be film stars soon, I'm sure!

  • LOL, I hate today's songs (atleast most of them) I like the 80's though!

  • Did you make it from plans i really am inspired to build one but maybe half that size did u desine it

  • its designed by me, pencil and paper.. Thats how all of em are made :D

plz post video response if you do!!

  • what's the wing span on that thing

  • about 6 Ft 8 inches? I never measured it, its taller than me!!

  • I've been thinking of making a scaled down c-5 with 4 edf's. Any advice or plans for this plane?

  • try to add alittle more wing area to the plane (I also built a C-17 which ran on 4 edf-40's) It did not flywell at all and took full power to fly (it had a full fusalage wich atrubuted to weight problems :(

  • nice plane but what i thought was even cooler was the aireal video footage using the other plane. definate 5 stars. Journey would be proud- LOL

  • Very COOL man...3 thumbs up

  • epic idea! :D

  • very appropriate name

    rudder and elevator only right?

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • ailerons too

LOL, accidently deleted the other commet, the flaps are fixed they dont move

  • 10 motors???? Can you sit on it and have the thing lift you or what :D And what kind of flight times did you get with it?

  • hahaha, LOL I cant sit on it yet

the flight times are about 8-10 miniutes

  • Awesome plane! Thats cool, 10 motors. 5 stars! Keep up the good work!

  • i saw this in a model airplane magazine, this flew at indoors!!!!. its a monster

look like an antonov 225 if it were in the US

  • haha, yep I was aiming at. breeding an 225 with a C-5 (this is what the plane would look like if they had babies)

  • NICE plane i really like it 5 stars

  • Awesome Video !

  • Got to give it to you in this one 10/10. Amazing job. It must be really light. Great flight great camera work and great build!!!!! Let's see some more!!!!!

  • Holy crap!

I've heard of the Starlifter being called "Aluminium Overcast", but this has got to be "Foam Overcast"!

    Great work!

    10/10!!!

  • haha, yup its even bigger while flying indoors :0

  • did you build that? I saw it in flyrc magizine. thats one of the coolest planes I have ever seen

  • yup, I designed it :D

  • NICE, I love that plane

  • great camera work!!

  • thanks, it was probily one of the hardest things to film especially if the big plane was slower than a slow stick plane

  • That is to sick

  • thanks!

  • omg 8 motors!!!!!!

  • LOL 10 motorz

  • omg i mean 10 motors!!!!!!!!!1
