From the loins of the Prophet Adam and through his holy progeny, the Light was inherited by Abdu'l-Muttalib, and from him it was divided and inherited by Abdullah, (father of the Prophet) and Abu Talib, (father of Ali). I was granted prophethood, and Ali was granted the caliphate."

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that a black man or a black woman used to clean the mosque, and he (or she) died. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked about him and they said, He died. He said, Why did you not tell me? Show me to his grave (or her grave). Some Muslims don't believe the Imams were Imams - and I know this should not be something to fight over. We should be able to respect each other's beliefs and the diversity in Islam - but some people's minds are to narrow-minded to accept these differences.

Allah Almighty says clearly in the Quran:
And invoke not, besides Allah, [anyone since that] will neither profit you, nor hurt you, but if (in case) you did so, you shall certainly be one of the Zaalimoon (polytheists and wrongdoers). And if Allah should afflict you with harm, then there is none to remove it but He; and if He intends good to you there is none to repel His grace. (Quran, 10:106-107)

Idols Disown Their Worshipers
[10:28] On the day when we summon them all, we will say to those who worshiped idols, "We have summoned you, together with your idols." We will have them confront each other, and their idols will say to them, "We had no idea that you idolized us.

If it's not in Najaf (which the strongest sources state) then it's in Mazar-e-Sharif Afghanistan.
Regardless, Allah has created 2 shrines for this magnificent creation.

You have to understand that Imam Ali (A) was a martyr, and the holy quran tells us that the martyrs do not die. so the moslems go to see their first imam. how is that graveworship. ask a shia moslem who they pray to and if any says other than Allah then you can say what every you like, but all shia worship only allah almighty. i hate the way your closed minds work, and you keep repeating the same words over and over again about shia islam. you can never win with your old arguments.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that a black man or a black woman used to clean the mosque, and he (or she) died. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) asked about him and they said, He died. He said, Why did you not tell me? Show me to his grave (or her grave). So he went to the grave and offered the funeral prayer. (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 458; Muslim, 956).

Some stated that Makkah is more virtuous than Madinah and this is the opinion of the three Imams (m: Abu Hanifa, Shafi�i and Malik), and has also been narrated from some Companions (Allah be pleased with them). Others stated that Madinah is more virtuous than Makkah and this is the opinion of some Maliki scholars and those who followed them from the Shafi�i school. It was said that this was also narrated from some of the Companions (Allah be pleased with them).
