The globe IS warming. You can't just look at a single year which happens to be particularly cold (due to a La Niña, I might add) out of an entire century and say there is no warming. If you look at the average global temperatures over the past century there is a VERY clear warming trend going on. Yes! They're as invalid as a meteorologist signing the petition that claims evolution is false. I don't care what a meteorologist has to say about evolution, and I don't care what a plumber has to say about climatology. The fact that the climatologists in that petition are in the overwhelming minority is VERY telling.

@Zimba9810 Also....who is claiming that global warming will end civilization? Nobody, as far as I was aware. But scientists certainly do claim that global warming will lead to an increase in droughts and wildfires in some areas, an increase in floods in other areas, poor crop yields, and increase in disease worldwide. Sure, this almost certainly wouldn't lead to the end of human civilization, but that doesn't mean that we should let it happen.
